If someone were to tell you that you will be spending your winter break - and possibly more time - hunting down dreamons with a god, you would have laughed and called them crazy. Guess who's laughing now?
DreamXD laughed as you groaned in annoyance, laying in a puddle of mud that you had slipped on while not watching where you were going. Feeling your cheeks flushed from embarrassment, laying in misery in the middle of a public area. You had been so distracted looking down at your phone, you hadn't realized the slippery mud puddle that was in the path.
"You should have-" DreamXD didn't finish his sentence as he let out a loud wheeze, catching the attention of a few folks passing by. "Oh my! You should do that again!"
"This is not funny" you grumbled as you finally decided to stand up as you tried to wipe away the mud off your clothes, only ending up smearing it more.
You huff in annoyance as you turn to walk back to the dorms. It hasn't even been five minutes since you and DreamXD had left the building and you're already making a fool of yourself in front of everyone on campus. What a great day to start your Sunday morning.
After yesterday scolding of stealing and showing DreamXD how to act more 'human', you both decided to go find your first dreamon to catch. You already wanting to get over being what the god calls you a 'peasant'. You just wanted things to go back to normal, or at least what it was before he came along.
"Stay out here. I will quickly change and will be back" you say as you unlock the door of your dorm "and whatever you do, don't leave and stay put. It won't take long"
DreamXD nods as you close the door after entering the dorm, leaving him alone in the hallway as he leaned against the wall. As he waited for you, he fiddled with the rectangular device given by his friend - the device that was key to tracking down the location of the dreamons.
He observed at the blue dot on the green screen, watching it as it moved around, tracking the dreamon's every move. Just as he was about to put it away in the pocket of his hood, the blue dot suddenly goes bigger and closer to the white dot that indicates the location of the person using the device.
He raises an eyebrow, as he looks up at the empty hallway, looking around for any signs of a living thing that the dreamon might have taken form, his fingertips tingling with magic.
"Am back" you say as you open the door of your dorm, changed into fresh clean hoodie and pants "good, you didn't move. I was worried that you might have- what are you doing?"
DreamXD places a finger up to his lips, signaling you to be quiet which you comply with. You feel as the thudding of your heart suddenly increases, feeling goosebumps as you feel that something bad is about to happen. And just on que, the door of the elevators open with a loud ding.
