The cold gentle breeze dances through the night, leaving chilling kisses everywhere it tenderly touches. The stars twinkling brighter and bigger, accompanied by the beautiful full celestial body of the full moon that gives a soft glow to the night sky. Puffs of white clouds escape past your lips to quickly vanish into the atmosphere.

You rub your hands together to form friction as a way to keep your hands warm from the freezing weather, slightly shaking with every passing wind. Sniffing once in the wild as your nose turns a slight pinkish color.

You turn your eyes towards DreamXD who walked next to you in the streets of Brighton, watching how he didn't react to the cold. Was it because he was so lost in thought? His eyebrows would furrow and he'd mumble something from time to time. He even almost walked towards a stop sign, despite looking directly at it.

He hasn't been the same since he came back earlier that morning.

After his nap earlier in the afternoon, you decided to wake him up and tell him about how the Dreamon detector was beeping, signaling that it had tracked down the nearest dreamon. You thought that by taking him out from the dorm and going dreamon hunting would get him out of his thoughts. You thought that the gray thundercloud that overshadowed him would go away and be replaced by the radiant sun that always seems to illuminate his features. You wished to see him smile again.

Yet, he was still lost in his own world.

You sigh before looking down at the dreamon detector, the small device rhythmically beeping. A small green dot on the screen that shows the dreamon was close and quickly moving to what seems to be a large building. Unfortunately from the low quality of the device, it was hard to see what type of building it was. But at least you knew the location of the dreamon.

"Hey, DreamXD" you say as you come to a halt. You watched as he still took a few steps forward before realizing that you had stopped walking, making him turn around in confusion to look at you. "I think we need to take a black cab. The walk towards the seaside of Brighton is still far and the fastest way to get there is by someone driving us there."

The god blinks. He turns to glance at the street before looking back at you. He doesn't say anything, he just nods before looking away to mumble something.

You couldn't help it but frown, feeling a sting at your heart as if someone was stabbing it. It truly hurt you how the god was ignoring you and not saying a word to you. It almost made you feel unwanted and sad. Was it selfish that you wanted to feel wanted and happy?

You looked around the empty streets, watching the occasional cars drive by, but none being the black cab you've been looking for. And the one that had to pass by had the light on the top unfortunately was turned off. Of course, what taxi driver would be driving at this time of day. It was almost midnight.
