"They need to die"

"What do you mean that the dreamon is all the way to Paris?!" You whisper yelled through your phone, trying not to freak out at the thought that you would have to travel to another country just to capture some dreamon. Especially in the middle of a lecture! You remember specifically making a deal with XD that the dreamon hunt wouldn't interfere with your studies. "Aren't there any other dreamon nearby?"
"Um, well. There's one in Mexico.."
You deeply inhale and exhale as you look around the hallway you stood, gazing at the door that leads to the lecture room. You bit your lower lip as you thought about skipping the rest of class. The professor is only reviewing for an upcoming exam, you can skip for today. Right?
"What am I thinking?" you groan to yourself. "Do you think the mission can wait for at least an hour? Class ends in like 43 minutes and it would take me a while for me to get back to the dorms"
"Well..." Hearing XD's voice go slightly high pitched made you realize that you're going to have to study extra hard for the next exam if you want to get a good grade. With another deep breath, you start to make your way back to the classroom where your belongings were.
"I'll be back at the dorms in 10 minutes minimum" You say as you hang up and enter the classroom, your classmates eyes turning to see who has entered before going back to paying attention to the professor. You awkwardly made your way towards your seat, trying not to distract anyone or get the professor's attention. Last thing you wanted was to be called out for interrupting his class. You didn't feel like being put on the spot today.
Successfully grabbing your things and dashing out the door, you sling your backpack on and speed walk through the campus as you navigate your way back to your temporary home. Fumbling with your keys to open the door to your dorm, a voice you don't recognize catches your attention. You furrow your eyebrows as you lean in towards your door to get a better hearing of who was inside. Did XD bring in someone? A friend perhaps?
It was hard to hear what was being spoken on the other side of the door. It was quite quiet and no matter how close you were to the door, you could barely make out a few spoken words. You knew that eavesdropping was bad, but you couldn't help yourself. Something told you that you should be listening to their discussion.
"Told them. Deal. Human?" You repeated the words to yourself. You tried to piece them together, trying to find a correlation, but nothing seems to be clicking. Huffing, you decided to stop shamefully eavesdropping and just walk in, besides, XD is probably still waiting for your arrival.
Unlocking the door, you open the door expecting to see two figures, but you only saw XD sitting by himself on the couch giving you a smile. You couldn't help but feel puzzled. You didn't need to see your own reflection to know that you were making a face.
"You're finally back!" XD exclaims as he stands up. "We must hurry! We don't want the dreamon roaming around and eating humans!"
Okay. Something was off. Way off. You didn't know what it was. But one thing for sure, XD is keeping secrets from you. Something you should know off that he's not going to easily just tell you. He first decided to give you the cold shoulder, then disappeared in the middle of a conversation, and now, he is giving off a weird vibe. And you swore there was someone else in your dorm, but where did they go to hide. What is XD exactly hiding from you?
"I um- yeah am back" you say as you drop your backpack next to the door "so Paris?"
"Ah yes! Let me get my sunglasses and mask and I'll teleport us there" XD says as he looks around the living room for his things.
You stood awkwardly waiting for him to get his things together, feeling a knot in your throat. You had the urge to ask him whether he was talking to someone before you walked in, but you didn't want to call yourself out for eavesdropping. Maybe he was on the phone with someone. Yeah that explains why he was the only one in your dorm, but at the same time, you swore the voice came from the living room. Were you just mishearing things?
"Am ready... Are you okay?"
You blacked, getting your mind back to reality before looking up to XD who had a concerned expression. You simply nodded, feeling slightly confused with your inner thought, not wanting to speak for the moment. You were still trying to recollect your thoughts. XD didn't seem to question your wordless answer.
He holds out his hands for you to hold on too. You close your eyes as you intertwine with his hands, embracing yourself for the stomach turning feeling that almost made you want to puke your guts out the other day. Gulping, you tighten your grip as you feel as if your insides are being moved around. Luckily, the unbearable went away quickly. Instead you were met with cold air hitting your face, making you open your eyes to see where you landed. As soon as you opened them, you immediately closed them as you gasped out in surprise as you launched yourself closer to XD as you bubbled up the courage to scream at him.
"Why the hell are we on the top of the fricking Eiffel Tower!
XD has teleported both of y'all to the highest level, where no person can spot you guys. The icing wind was strong, feeling as if you let go of XD you would tumble down to your death. Before you could scream at XD again, you saw a person sitting a few feet away. Purple swirls emitting from the 'person', making you realize that XD didn't teleport you up the tower to give you a heart attack, but because the dreamon was on the top swinging its feet without a care in the world.
This time, the dreamon took the form of a little girl with blond hair and pale skin. They wore a blue dress with matching shoes. If it weren't for the dreamon and purple, you would have totally thought about how endearing this little girl was. Too bad you had to slay it.
Looking at XD, you signal him that the dreamon has shaped into the little girl. XD nodded as he signaled you back to provoke it and make it transform back to its original form, which you hesitantly nodded. Taking a deep breath, you slowly made your way to the dreamon.
