Previously...
Stella perceived a flash of red from the corner of her eyes. A particularly large tentacle wizzed towards her. A sharp pain blinded her vision and she dropped the sword, rubbing her eyes. Within a matter of seconds, she felt impact as the tentacle swiped at her side, knocking her onto her back. As the back of her head hit the rock-hard bone, the world turned black.

A warm source of light caressed her cheek and the breeze carried the scent of fresh-cut grass. Stella's eyelids slowly flapped open, unaware of her surroundings. She gave out a sound of fatigue, "ugh," and sat up. A beam of sunlight had found its way through the dense foliage of the Weeping Willow.
Obliviousness clouded Stella; she had no idea where she was. She surveyed her surroundings and realised that she was in some sort of park.
She could hear laughs and giggles in the distance. Stella averted her gaze towards the ground; she was cushioned by soft grass.
"Found you!" A high pitched voice rang from behind her. Stella flinched.
She swivelled around to come face-to-face with a young boy, who she guessed was around seven. He had a triumphed expression on his face.
"Leo?" She recognised her brother, though he looked way younger.
"Come on Stella! Let's keep playing," he urged. "The others are waiting."
"O-oh okay," she stuttered, speechlessly.
Where am I? What's going on? Thought Stella.
Stella stood and dusted her clothes from the dirt. She realised that she was shorter than she'd remembered; her steps weren't as long as she'd thought. Wearily, she followed him to an open expanse of grass.
They were surrounded by a huge city; skyscrapers towered above them, some distance away. Advertisements were put up on huge billboards. The sea slowly lapped at the shore on the horizon-line. Florida.
Stella took in all of her surroundings, memories flashed before her eyes. Shaking them away, she caught up with Leo and came across a bunch of kids squealing and chasing each other, weaving through the trees. "Hi Stella!" One of them called. She had inky hair and dark-brown eyes.
"Uhh...hi!" She called back as the girl ran past her. She knew the girl from somewhere, but she felt like she had forgotten.
Adults and children rode bicycles down a nearby path, people sat on the numerous benches that dotted the park, while others walked their dogs across the greenery, robins chirped from the higher branches; this place seemed so alive.
She treaded with Leo towards a couple of families holding a picnic; two adults in particular caught her eye. A smart-looking man and woman stood, holding glasses of apple juice, chattering with a bunch of other adults.
The woman's auburn hair flowed gently in the summer breeze, her eyes...a sky blue. The man's familiar smile, spread across his face, his eyes shone a vibrant umber.
Stella felt a long-lost feeling returning, filling her heart with warmth and joy. The feeling that she'd forgotten for so long. Family. Tears stung her eyes as she ran towards her parents, the wind blowing the stray tears away. Everything around her was a blur. Memories flooded her mind. Memories of joy, laughter and happiness. Memories that she had forgotten. Memories of her past.
