{Chapter Twenty Three - Judas}
~ I'm just a holy fool, oh, baby, it's so cruel,
But I'm still in love with Judas, baby ~- Judas
Elora froze at the top of the stairwell when she caught sight of the scene before her. She nearly fainted as she recognised the voices of Cordelia, Madison and Myrtle. Everyone else at the Outpost was dead in the library, she could see their bodies scattered around. Coco, Mallory and Dinah were the only ones who stood with the three witches.
She felt anger bubbling up inside her at the sight of the witches, but also overwhelmed. "Michael!" She hissed as she transmuted quickly back into the room. "They're here."
The pair transmuted to the top of the stairs in unison, at the same time that Dinah was speaking. Ms Mead was not far behind them,
"You're on your own with that shit." Dinah scoffed, "I'm not here to defeat anyone."
"How can any of you defeat us... when we've already won?" Michael said, and all the witches turned at once.
"If it isn't Satan's son, and Judas." Madison sassed, her hands on her hips.
"Elora!" Cordelia yelled instinctively, her eyes wide. "What-" She started, before catching sight of her bump. Cordelia's nostrils flared, she could not believe Michael knocked her daughter up. "You haven't won." She hissed, directing her words at Michael.
"Perhaps you haven't noticed the state of the world." Elora scoffed, her anger was speaking for her.
"Almost as bad as that dress." Madison retorted, and Elora's frown deepened.
"But at least the world can be saved." Myrtle added.
"By you?" Michael smirked, amused.
"By all of us." Cordelia corrected.
"Hey. Get the wax out of your ears." Dinah spoke, "I'm here to watch."
"But I'm not." Coco walked to the front of the group, "Just don't let me die again, okay? It really sucked the first time." She said to Cordelia. So it was all part of their plan.
"When I'm done, you'll all wish you were still dead." Michael seethed, his gaze sweeping over the witches.
"I always thought the world would end with fire and ice, not witches and warlocks." Myrtle sighed.
"The seventh seal has been broken. Wormwood has fallen from the sky and turned the rivers to blood and fire. The bottomless pit has been opened and my swarms of locusts and scorpions have ravaged humanity. The world has been remade in my father's image."
"Darling... it seems Daddy didn't tell you the most important rule of bringing on the apocalypse. If you want to finish the job, the thing you have to do first is get rid of all the witches." Myrtle said with a smile.
"Big mistake." Coco added.
"We could annihilate all of you in a second and the world would go on without missing a beat." Elora retorted, staring at Cordelia with hard eyes. "You and all of your work will be forgotten in the rubble of the past."
"But we want to give you a future. Fall to your knees and accept us as your lord and savior, and we will bring you to the table as our obedient subjects." Michael added. None of the witches said anything.
"Imbeciles! Fall to your knees before the king and queen!" Ms Mead barked, "Hail Satan!"
"The only way we would sit at your table is if your decapitated head were the centerpiece." Cordelia spat. The sides of Elora's mouth curled up as she walked down a couple steps,
