I woke up perfectly happy like the world can't hold me anymore. Everything is back on track, all conflicts and misunderstandings were cleared between me and Jason; we're back together. Even though we can't see each other until later that week since both of us have work, I can't stop myself from smiling. Jason and I are like the perfect couple ever and we're so alike. I'd stay in bed all day, dreaming about our future together but duty first. Prince William and I became friends since we have to see each other every day, it's the right thing to do; later he revealed to be the black ghost that helped through my time back at the training center.
"You look super happy today, is there any special occasion I should know about?" asked me William once he exited his room.
"Well yesterday Jason and I got back together, it turned out I misunderstood the situation and gave him a second chance." I explained still having a love sick smile.
"Oh congratulations," he looked down himself but surprised me when he suggested to go celebrate. "Did you have breakfast?"
"Not yet, I wanted to escort you to your destination before heading to eat with the others." I should've eaten something now that I thought about it, maybe he needed me for a longer time that I expected.
"It's okay, let's head to the library," The room takes my breath away every time I see the amount of books inside of it.
"How about you choose a book for me while I choose yours for today?" I thought it was a great idea so I nodded and began searching for a really good one.
After an hour, give or take, we finally came up with the best books we could find. I ended giving him my favorite book to read. He chose this girl to be his partner not knowing that she was his enemy and was planning some evil stuff against him. After they become allies and friends, they fall in love with each other but he eventually knows that she betrayed him and become enemies again. When both of them face another problem, they have to work with each other to solve it- they mend and confess their true feelings, which leads them to become lovers again and live their happily ever after. He handed me an interesting book entitled "Rules and Roses", I'm very excited to read it and discover the world of this novel.
"I think we're done here. Ready to raid the kitchens?" he sniggered. I looked at him wide eyed, what is this boy thinking? He didn't even wait for my answer before taking my hand and ran outside in the corridors. I stumbled trying to catch his pace.
Everyone in the kitchens was busy, the maids and cooks worked extra every day since the royalties are living in the castle until the prince makes his decision. No one paid attention to us when we took a picnic basket and filled it all kinds of fruits, two croissants and many more tasty pastries. My mouth watered at the sight of all this food, I wonder how the cooks can stay here and not devour every last piece of goodies. I have a feeling that this is going to be a good day for me and the beginning of a better life. We passed by the utilities room and William handed me a small bag, without saying another word he walked toward the gardens.
"Told you we have to celebrate, my schedule is empty today and you're supposed to be with me all day so here we are, taking every bit of summer we can have. There's a blanket in the bag help me lay it down on the grass and bring the pillows so we can sit comfortably on the ground." He looked like a five year old entering the biggest candy store he has ever seen. After that we ate our breakfast and left a few pastries for lunch or if we ever got hungry.
"Happy reading!" I exclaimed then laid down and opened the book he chose for me. The small of the paper filled my head, it was like living in paradise. The lake-side air was pungent with the fragrance of jasmine. This was no natural basin filled with melt water, but the luxury addition to a formal garden; from six feet up the surface was an opaque green, but from just two it was clear enough to see the plants and life below the surface. They were huge and numerous, each about as long as my arm. I gazed across the wind-ruffed surface to the lily pads in bloom, their white or magenta petals catching the breeze. I inhaled slowly. Peace. My little piece of heaven. I dived into the world of my new book, a prince that fell in love with a common girl but since the rules insist that he has to marry a princess from another kingdom, he decided to break all the rules and even lose his title and crown just to be with the one he loves. It was the perfect romance every girl dreams about since she was a little girl, finding true love and living happily with her man. I found my gift with Jason and I'm thankful for him.
