Chapter 25

   Great just great. As we were about to go back to the castle, we heard a man's voice telling the others to seize the prince. My protecting instincts quickly woke up and I had stood in a defensive position in front of him, shielding him from that voice.

   "One more step and you can kiss your life goodbye." I snarled but he only laughed which caught me off guard.

   "Oh really little girl, you dare threaten us when we're clearly outnumbering you?" well I can't see anyone but him and us in this place. "Come on out boys let's show them who's the real master here." In a second about twenty to thirty other man showed up and circling us.

   I stood in the middle of them trying to cover the prince with every inch of my body which clearly wasn't that effective, if they attacked us I'm pretty sure we're both going down.

   "I'm not kidding either you're trying to attack the prince on his own land, I have every right to kill you all this instance." True except it's almost impossible to do so but at least I'm bluffing trying to win us some more time while I figure out a plan to outrun them.

   "Yeah, yeah little girl keep talking as much as you like but after we lock you up both."

   "Let's be political and talk in peace without anyone being tied out." William tried to reason with them, the leader of this 'pack' just laughed and turned away.

   Just like that everyone attacked us at the same time. I was the best knight during the competition and I was able to take down my trainer but how will I be able to do so with all these men.

   I jumped into action taking the sword in my hand and standing position ready for anyone who tries to attack me.

   "Run! Take Obsidian and go hide in the castle, they won't kill me once you're away." I tried pushing William away to safety but he didn't move.

   "If you go down then we go down together." This isn't really the time to play the all mighty hero. I didn't have time to argue. I ran toward the first group of rebels, I didn't want to do this but they won't listen either, I wish someone from town two would come and recognize me then order them to stop the fight and let us negotiate like normal mature human beings.

   I swung my sword at the first muscled man, he was a foot higher than me except I've faced worse. I was taken aback when he came up with a weapon for himself and blocked my attack. Let's hope none of them have a gun or else I'll be long gone.

   They have weapon but they don't have the fighting skills I own. I throw my sword at the first guy that came my way, it hit him in the stomach, he fell on his knees and passed out I guess.

   Another three came running my way, I ran toward them taking a bat from the fighting floor. I hit them hard with it, trying to disarm them from their daggers which fell on the floor with a small click. Their attack position wasn't that strategic as I kept shoving the two behind me against a wall, they must have built during their long stay here in the woods, while I kept hitting the other with the wooden bat.

   I turned around to keep one fighter behind me but received a fist in the face by one of them so I hit the first man that came in front of me on his head, he immediately fell to the ground unconscious. I give the guy behind me an elbow hit in the eye and ran to take the small knife from the third guy's hand, giving him a punch in the chest, taking away his breath.

   Someone tried to choke me from behind, I would say it was Luke my old training enemy but I knew better. Here is the move that I like to perform in every battle I have; I placed my arms between his to shove them away, then I put a leg behind his and I throw him on the ground like a useless bag of potatoes.
