I feel so tired after yesterday's events. The trip to the forest, the break from my relationship with William until we sort everything out and solve the drama, and our capture by the rebels except this one ended well. I don't know if I can get out of my warm bed to face the world and especially Jessica, my best friend, I want her to be happy with the prince. It's not her fault I fell in love with him. My train of thoughts were cut short by a soft knock on the door.

"Come in!" I said while getting up to great whoever it was.

"Hello girl! Don't tell you're still sleeping! I took permission from his highness so we can spend the entire day together alone. So change into some decent clothes and let's have fun, it's our reunion party after long several months!" Sometimes I worry about her lungs, I wonder how she can talk so much without taking a single breath.

"Alright! Wait here, I'll be prepared in five." I took my black dress from the closet and went to the bathroom to do my morning routine and change into my outfit for the day.

Either of us was hungry but we took a small cupcake from basket before we went for a walk in gardens to start our day with fresh air.

I just love the nature, whenever I felt sad it used to sooth me. However, I feel like lately when I solve a problem and things go back on track the way they should be, a catastrophe falls on my head, wrecking my life and mood upside down.

"I guess it's time to say congratulations on your engagement, you finally made it!" I tried sounding enthusiastic but it didn't sound very convincing, not even right to my ears.

"Thanks," neither of us actually sounded happy about the recent events, I'll ask her about it later. Now it's time to have fun together and catch up on everything we didn't get to talk about during the ball. "To be honest I have nothing planned for today so let's continue our walk and see where it will lead us." Typical Jessica, I'm glad time and training has changed nothing between us.

"Well why walk when you can run. The last person who arrives to that stone statue is a chicken nugget!" We readied ourselves next to each other. "On three! One! Two! Hey! Not fair." She began running before the signal, that's fine, I'm still the fastest runner.

We were both running between the benches, jumping over the flowers trying not to ruin any decoration or trip over a water hose. The place was filled with our laughter, I miss these crazy days with my best friends. I finally arrived seconds before her, we took a chance to recover our breaths then walked to sit under a tree and relax for the rest of the day.

"So what did you use to do during these days?" A good question to start a conversation.

"Other than following the prince around the castle, escorting him to his meetings or food breaks, nothing. And you? I bet your days were more exciting than mine."

"They trained the girls more seriously since one of us would handle the country in the future, the boys went for training into their specific jobs too. During our free time they gave us the liberty to do whatever we want but within our quarter of the castle, we had some instruments to play, a dance room to train for the ball, or just sit and pamper ourselves in the ladies room. The other girls knew each other quiet well so they just gossiped all day about the, what did they call us? Oh yes, 'the inferior losers'," she mocked them, motioning her fingers in a citation move. "I didn't talk to anyone beside," she cut herself before saying any name. She didn't feel comfortable talking about that part. "Yeah, this how my days went by."

I didn't get the chance to answer, we both turned toward the sound of foots on grass.

"Ah! Here are my two favorite girls, come on let's have a makeover together. I want to feel young again today, it's not like I'm not but you get the idea. Follow me dears!" I love the way the queen is always enthusiastic and treat us like her own daughters.
