LEAGUE OF SHADOWS HIDEOUT
1 YEAR AND 9 MONTHS AGO

Talia al Ghul was one of the most deadly women in the world. It was almost an honor to be killed by her.

Ra's Al Ghul did not find it honorable. In some ways, he had seen this coming. It was stupid to think he could do his little experiment and have no one find out. With the death of his son, Dusan he began thinking of his legacy.

Nyssa did not want children, Dusan had only been blessed with one child and Mara was hardly an ideal choice. That left Talia... and Damian.

Damian was the perfect soldier. The perfect choice. However, the detective had gotten in the way of everything.

A slice of Damian's DNA has been kept away from the moment he was born. Ra's was the only one who knew about it.

"Is it complete?" Ra's asked looking at the body.

"Well yes... are you sure about this. While he will have Damian's DNA you will have to train him from the ground up."

"I understand."

The doctors nodded. They pulled a lever and dropped the body into the Lazarus Pit. The cave was silent. Professor Ojo felt the back of his neck began to sweat.

Suddenly there was loud screaming. A man came up from the green waters and screeched. His vocal cords were scratchy and his voice hoarse.

He was grabbed and thrown out of the pit. His naked form twitched.

Ra's walked forward and lifted the man's chin.

"Hello, again Damian."

The man blinked and tilted his head to the side.

"I'm going to make you the man you were supposed to be."

He was taught every form of fighting possible. Lady Shiva trained him, and although she secretly felt uncomfortable with the idea Ra's assured her it would all pay off in the end.

While he knew how to fight he still spoke like a child. Simple sentences. Quick to the point. Ra's taught him the best he could. When he failed he was punished. Ra's punished him in the way he couldn't punish the real Damian.

His back quickly became full of scars. There was no compassion in his teachings.

Not like how Talia taught Damian to read.
