METROPOLIS 12:45 PM LOCAL TIME
Jon Kent scrolled on his phone while sitting in the Daily Planet lobby. His parents said they were gonna take him out for lunch since school ended early.
MARY ♡ i found a cat Superman costume today!! Should I Put Jin in it and send pictures to Damian to make him Annoyed?
He texted back: absolutely!
"Fucking manic piece of shit!" A voice yelled causing Jon to almost drop his phone.
"I don't think my demands are that complicated Eric!" Jimmy Olsen yelled following an 18-year-old boy through the lobby.
"You're a fascist man!"
"Okay, that's a bit dramatic which is a lot coming from me."
Jon watched the two argue before the boy, Eric, spit on the ground and walked out through the glass revolving door.
"Wow..." Jon said with a blink.
Jimmy turned to his surrogate nephew with his hands in his pockets.
"Oh hey, Jon what are you doing here?" Jimmy asked.
"My parents are supposed to be taking me to lunch. Supposed to be... been here for ten minutes."
"Come on I'll take you up."
Jon smiled and got up. Jimmy scanned his keycard and the elevator opened.
A couple of years ago thieves broke in and stole the news equipment and they were later found on the black market. Now everyone had to have key cards to even open the elevator.
"What was that about?" Jon asked referring to the argument he saw.
"He's my photographer, I gave him some slight criticism and he flipped out and ran off. Which isn't great cause everyone else is on duty right now and I have an interview in twenty minutes." Jimmy sighed and checked his watch.
"Oh, damn that sucks sorry." Jon nodded.
The elevator opened with a chime and they both walked out.
Jon could see his parents in the office if Perry White. He saw his mom pacing back and forth making big hand movements. His dad sat in a chair nodding with his hands on his lap.
His dad turned to look out the window, he said something to Perry White who got up.
