In the beginning, there was nothing. The abyss endless, and the stars Eternal. Through the collision of two stars, a realm was formed. Beautiful as it was, but empty nonetheless. The Gods took notice of the emptiness and utter beauty and took it upon themselves to inhabit the realm. Though some Gods made the decision to become mortal, others kept their immortality. After decades of peace, and prosperity, the Gods created the animals, insects, mortals, and Faeries. All creatures of beauty, different in shape, size, and power. This display of power did not go unnoticed, and other creatures of the universe became envious. Horrendous, evil creatures filled with hatred for the Gods and their beautiful creations. These creatures with sights into the realm from another dimension, wreaked havoc, possessing many Fae into using dark heinous spells in hopes they'll penetrate this beautiful realm.

While the Gods loved their new realm, not all adorned their power like before. The Gods retaining their immortality, decided against helping their brothers, and sisters defend their new home, and instead returned to the cosmos to live their immortality in peace. The remaining Fae, and Mortals took fate within their own hands to battle the infestation of the Renx. The loss was catastrophic, and many Gods took pity upon their creations. The Goddess of Moon and Water Valentina, The God of Sun and Flame Collosus, The God of Shadow and Wind Thesseus, The Goddess of Ice and Snow Kora, The Goddess of Earth and Growth Herana, all chose one warrior to bear their gifts in hopes of turning the tide.

Their sacrifices were not in vain, for the Faeries turned the tides of the War, and placed the spells of summoning into a book, known as the Enibulus, sealed it and hid it. These blessed Fae then split the realm and continents into kingdoms each of their own, dedicated to the Gods who sacrificed their power to save all. After a millennia passed, the Kingdoms still rein, each with an heir of the blessed on the throne. With each generation developing new gifts, and creating their own.  Though this peace, will soon end as the Renx are all the closer to their return.

"Kasdeya. Are you even listening to me?" A voice snaps, drawing my attention back to the present. A short brown haired girl glares at me, and I smile a small smile.

"Yes Lilith, I am listening to you." Lilith Lordanou, the one person I've found myself spending more and more time around, eyes me silently, her hands on her hips. Her and I meet in the same shop in the Fourth Quarter. One would think it is on purpose, or a hand at fate.

"I was talking about the impending death of the people who immigrate here and are denied basic necessities by the capital. They have a right to be provided for."

"The capital will never change Lilith. You and I both know this as well as anyone else. The people who come here have it as rough as anyone else." I glance up at the sky, then back at her once again. "It's a Prison without the visible bars here. Hardly anyone who comes here gets to leave." I look to the people on the cobblestone streets, wearing nothing but rags. Their ribs jutting out from beneath their barely present clothing. A frown deepens on my face thinking about the Capital stealing from the people. One woman glances my way and continues to stare; mumbling to her comrades, and they too glance my way. I lift the hood of my cloak higher on my hair and avoid eye contact.

"You aren't from around here are you?" Lilith asks me, subtly picking her nails. "I've noticed that about you from our frequent visits to the shops. You always move your darn hood higher on your head when people look at you." She then levels an assessing stare at me. "So where are you really from, Kasdeya?"

I look down to her once more and level a stare back at her. "I already told you, I'm from Hendrix. A small port North of Elandra. What more is there to talk about?" We continue walking down the streets, our boots scuffing on the stone. A few men stalk by, eyeing our cloaks and boots. They say nothing as they head into the Tavern ahead of us.

"You don't smell like the people from Ports usually do. I suppose it could be from all your travels. None the less, I came to this side of town to drink. If you're not coming in I suppose I'll see you around. Or you can stop being a stickler and come in and have some fun for once."

I laugh a light laugh and nudge her with an elbow. "I suppose I can come in and make sure you stay out of trouble. Maybe I'll have myself a drink to dampen this increasing headache."

"Well you're the only headache I know around here." She says as she nudges me back. "Welcome to the nastiest tavern you'll ever be in. The Trench." She steps ahead of me and swings the Tavern door open, stepping inside without a second glance. I follow her in quietly and take note of the people sitting in the booths to the right of us. My gaze travels to the left towards the bar, where a tall blonde man is passing out drinks. He glances to Lilith and begins to beam. His different colored eyes lock on me and he gives me a polite smile. One eye brown and the other blue. How interesting indeed. I smile back at him and follow Lilith to the bar.

"Welcome in Lilith. Glad to see you made it tonight, and you brought a friend." The blonde says, grinning at Lilith.

"A friend indeed, Jax this is Kasdeya. Kasdeya this is Jax my longtime childhood friend. Shame he has to work in a stinky Tavern with stinky men." Her nose crinkles as she eyes the men sitting at the opposite end of the bar. They seem to pay no mind to her though, they instead eye me with an intensity that sends my alarm bells ringing. Nothing like coming to a new town and your alarm is ringing.
