~Chapter 3~ Sakonji Urokodaki

                              ~Tanjiro's POV~
It was dark by now, so I let Nezuko out of her box so she could walk with me and Hoshi. I constantly found myself unconsciously taking peeks at Hoshi. Wow.. I just noticed how small he is. Not like I'm trying to be rude or anything. Is he just a child? He looks younger than Nezuko. "So... Hoshi." I said trying to start a conversation since he'd been quiet for the majority of the walk to the mountain. Hoshi looked at me signalling he was listening. "How old are you. I'm just curious that's all. You don't have to tell me of course!" Hoshi looked at me and gave me a small smile. I felt my face heat up. 'Wow.. he's really pretty' I thought to myself, suddenly noticing what I just had thought. I then got even redder. If he couldn't see my blush before he definitely could see it now. Hoshi stared at me before looking ahead and pointing. "We should probably catch up to Nezuko-san." Hoshi spoke as he pointed at Nezuko. I looked at where he was pointing and saw Nezuko a few feet away. "Right!" I said as I grabbed Hoshi's hand and pulled him to where Nezuko was. 'Hoshi's hand is soft..' I thought. 'Wait what?!?' I yelled in my head. I walked even faster towards Nezuko still pulling Hoshi.

When we caught up to Nezuko we continued walking up a path passing a small house. I thought we could ask her directions to get to the mountain the quickest way possible so I let go of Hoshi's hand, noticing we had been holding hands the whole time and went up to the lady that was standing outside her house while her son was playing. "Mount Sagiri?" The woman repeated. "Well if you really want to get there soon the fastest way is over that mountain." The kind lady continued as she pointed at a mountain not to far away, just beyond the tree line. "Just be careful you three, it's already dark and there's reports of people going missing on that mountain." The lady said concerned. I smiled as Hoshi went up to the little boy and knelt down to his level to give him a flower he had seen as we passed a field little bit ago. He smiled at the boy and gave him a head pat before walking back to me stopping beside me. I looked at him slightly letting out a small laugh at the height difference. Hoshi looked at me curiously for a few seconds then smiled with his eyes closed as he turned to face the path the lady had said to go on. "Come Tanjiro-san, let's go now so we can get there before morning arrives. We'll need sleep so we can be ready for whatever's to come." Hoshi said with his quiet soft voice. I thanked the lady as we continued walking. "13" Hoshi said randomly. "I'm sorry?" I said looked at Hoshi as he stared ahead. "My age. I'm 13." Hoshi repeated. I stared at him for a bit kind of suprised we were the same age then gave him a big warm smile as I looked back ahead.

                          ~Third Person POV~
As the three new found freinds walked along Hoshi suddenly stopped. Soon Tanjiro noticed and told Nezuko to wait then looked to face Hoshi. "What's wrong Hoshi-kun, if I can call you that." Tanjiro asked. Hoshi stood, his eyes wide as he felt terrible pressure. Then through the trees he could see a red mist like thing seeping through, and a big clump of white mist. It was the same thing he sensed and saw when he found his family. Thought the red was new to him. Suddenly a wave of dread washed over him and gave him a terrible feeling. "Tanjiro-kun... I have a bad feeling that somebody's in trouble.." Hoshi muttered. Suddenly Tanjiro got a whiff of an all too familiar scent. 'Blood' He thought. He then grabbed Nezuko's and Hoshi's hand and ran in the direction of the smell, while Hoshi let himself get pulled focusing on how the feeling of the aura like mist got stronger, like it was leading Hoshi to the disaster they were yet to encounter.
~Temple Home~
Once the three got to where Tanjiro smelt the blood they came across a temple home in the middle of the forest they were walking in. Hoshi immediately held his stomach like he was going to be sick. The pressure and eerie feeling from inside the house reminded him of his home and what he'd seen. "You two wait out here and stand away from the door while I go see if everybody is ok." Tanjiro instructed. Hoshi was skeptical. He knew that there was something bad in there, and he had a feeling that the red aura he had seen, belonged to a demon. Never the less he couldn't bring himself to warn Tanjiro. He just stood back while Nezuko nuzzled into his right shoulder. "Is everybody ok!!?!" Tanjiro yelled as he slammed open the shoji doors only to freeze and take in the sight. Two bloodied bodies lay lifeless on the ground and something.. no someone was feasting on them. "Hey! Go away! This is my turf!" The creature growled as it stood up from its squatted position and went to face Tanjiro. The creature was tall and muscular and had grey, almost white skin. It had rows of sharp teeth and wide eyes with mossy green hair that parted into curtain bangs in the middle of his forehead. "Wait a minute.. are you human?" The creature asked. Tanjiro stood frozen staring at this.. monster.
