Alfred grabbed his cotton sheets. They weren't that strong, but he had done this before.
Twisting the sheets around, Alfred started to add knots periodically. It was to keep the cloth from unrolling.
Just as he had finished his last knot, a sudden loud knock was heard.
"Fredka! Are you there?" An accented voice called out.
Alfred jumped and began to hurriedly put away the makeshift rope.
Alfred felt himself shiver a little. Why did the commie have to always be with him?
Without waiting for an answer Ivan barged in the room.
His violet eyes scanned the room. They stared a little at where Alfred's clothes were.
Freak.
The violet eyes moved left and met sky blue ones. The violet eyes almost seemed to light up.
"Fredka, I missed you so much."
Alfred felt his eye twitch. The Russian had been here yesterday and the day before that and the day before that. Couldn't he have some alone time?
"You we're here yesterday Ivan, don't you remember?" Alfred trie to keep the venom out of his voice, it wouldn't do any good to annoy a guard here.
"Yes, but it feels like forever when I am not with you Fredka!"
Alfred suppressed his need to gag. Creepy!
"Oh, uh, yeah sure."
Alfred tried to ignore the giant Russian. Hopefully he would get the hint and leave.
The blond inmate grabbed one of his books. It was about some weird alien race that wanted to take over Earth.
Alfred had gotten a couple pages in when Ivan cleared his throat. Alfred ignored that. Ivan did it again, a little louder. Alfred ignored that again. Finally, Ivan cleared his throat and tapped Alfred's arm.
Alfred shrugged off the offending arm. And tried to find his sentence in the book again.
"Fredka, are you ignoring me?" It was singsong, but obviously held a warning.
Snapping his book close, Alfred glared at Ivan.
"What do you want Ivan?" Alfred spit out.
The pale blond brightened at Alfred finally giving him some attention.
"Ah, little Fredka" Alfred bristled at being called little. "I was wondering if I could come see you this night?"
What?
Iva-he wasn't right?
There was no way.
This must be some joke.
Ye-e-eah, that had to be it! There was no way Ivan was asking for them to sleep together! Right? RIGHT? It was illegal and immoral.
Alfred started in shock at the guard. The guard didn't seem to notice the shell shocked expression on Alfred's face because after he asked Alfred the question, he moved closer to Alfred and quickly pressed their lips together.
"I'll be waiting little one!" With that cheerful declaration, Ivan darted out the door. Trying to avoid the blond's wrath.
"I hate you Ivan. I hope you get hit by a car and die!"
