You shared beautiful smiles between one another.
Playful pushes, subtle hand grazes, the occasional shy gazes and of course, those beautiful smiles that you graced upon him.
Jimin couldn't get enough of you.
Throughout the years you shared together as one, he had never seen you so radiant, so carefree, so angelic.
As beautiful as a butterfly.
Your hair gently swayed as the wind picked up every now and then, and you attempted to brush it back.
A soft laugh escaped you when he hugged you from behind, arms wrapped tightly around your waist, as he lifted you off of your feet.
You looked so free.
Free from everything going on. Free from your thoughts. Free from people, responsibilities.
Deep down, he knew you were struggling.
He knew. He was too.
-
Time was running out for the both of you though. There's only so far you can run before running out of breath - right?
After all, all wonderful things come to an end eventually.
But there was nothing more than he wished for right now, than time.
Some more time.
God what he would do for it.More time to gaze upon you. More time to admire the ethereal soulmate that he had been gifted with, graced with. More time to appreciate you with all that you were. His lover, his heart and soul, his whole being.
You meant the world to him; as he did to you.You gazed back at him and found him already staring at you with an unexplainable expression.
Hint of admiration maybe?
Love.
Sadness?
You tilted your head at him, but he simply smiled and shook his head lightly before he caught up with you as you both made your way towards the car.
Together, you had spent the hours of the evening on top of a cliff, staring out into the sunset whilst enjoying the peaceful moments you had together.
Nothing, and absolutely nothing, could ever beat this moment.
But it was ending too fast.
You received a message from your friend:
"They're coming. We all love you. Thank you bosses."
That was all it took.
You both sent a quick reply and turned your phones off. You shared looks between one another and went to sit inside the car. He switched the engine on and turned his body to face you, a graceful smile adorning his features, as you returned it in the same manner.
"I love you so much, my sunshine."
You whispered to him, extending your hand out and interlocking your fingers with his own gently. He tightened the grip."I love you more, my angel."
He said back, lifting his other hand to cup your cheek and brush his thumb against the soft surface.Your hearts ached for each other.
Blaring sirens were heard echoing across the cliffs, across the area. They were approaching quickly, way too quick.
"Thank you, Jimin."
You stroked some of his hair out of his face and turned to look out the front of the car and looked upon the sunset coming down.He moved the gearstick and allowed the car to slowly start rolling toward the edge, further down the road.
"For what?"
He whispered, biting his lip to avoid any tears from spilling. You shook your head in dismissal and held his hand again, tighter. They were right behind you.
You turned to each one last time and smiled as you both let the tears roll down your faces. He stepped on the pedal as you sped up toward the edge of the cliff, letting go of everything but each other.
'Thank you for being the hand that never let go.'
My butterfly.
