[Hello, just a little note, before I started this book, I didn't know that specific magic like, dragon slayer magic is non genetic, to it's not a hundred possible that future NaLu baby will be a fire dragon slayer - but I've written Nashi as a user of Fire magic that is trained by her dad, Natsu to use dragon slayer magic. Again, just a fanfic, happy reading!]

Nashi, 8 Years Old

"Nashi! bring this with you," Lucy was running after Nashi and Natsu, they are off to training today, their daughter usually go with her dad when it comes to training and learning magic, Lucy understands this well as they share the same magic.

Today is different, Nashi as just going to sit and watch but also her first official training. Nashi ran back to her mom and took the three bento box, Lucy kissed Nashi's forehead and whispered, "Have fun and be safe, love you."

Natsu, Happy and Nashi waved goodbye to Lucy and headed to the side of the forest they used as training ground, Lucy wanted to tag along with them but she knew that she got to trust Natsu with this one, above all Natsu wouldn't do anything that would hurt their princess. She then went to the guild to try and look for a job to go with Natsu and Happy for the next day.

"Alright student, what is your name?" Natsu is sitting on a large rock and Nashi is looking up at her dad very curious of what's happening.

"Im Nashi Heartfilia Dragneel!" she said with a huge smile on her face, "What is your magic, Nashi?" again Natsu asked formally.

"Fire magic, I will learn dragon slayer magic!" Nashi relied enthusiastically jumping up trying to climb the rock. Indeed she is born with fire magic, always have been fascinated with her dad's flames and was easily jealous when it comes to eating fire whenever she is hungry.

"Happy, bring that rock over here," Natsu commanded, Happy brings over a rock as large as his head, and drops it in front of Nashi, "If you can break this with your fire, your first task is over."

Natsu jump down the rock and ruffled his daughter's hair, "Good luck, princess." Nashi is very determined to crush the rock, she has never done it before, but she watched Natsu burn and destroy almost everything all her life, so she thought she would be able to do it!

Natsu and Happy agreed that they'd first observe what would Nashi do, Natsu fake started his exercise while Happy sat near Nashi to closely watch, they don't want Nashi to go home with any scratch or burn or else Lucy will happen.

Nashi started with her fire fist, but didn't have the heart to punch the rock, the thought to hurting her hand so much stops her from doing so. She repeatedly punch the air around the rock, trying to make a hard enough impact to make even a crack on the rock.

"Lunch time!" Happy announced, it was indeed lunch time and she saw nashis already sweating hard, "Come now Nashi, you need to eat," Happy approached Nashi with a towel. The little girl that was so determined is not frowning, "I can't do it Happy! I'd fail my first task!"

Natsu sat down beside them and get the towel off her little hands and used it to dry her back, "Did I hear you giving up already?" he then grab the lunch Lucy prepared for them and opened it in front of Nashi, "Eat first, and then later daddy will help you smash that rock." Natsu smiled widely.

After eating lunch, Nashi is now back to her task, how can her flames get powerful enough to smash a rock? She tried again but this time she did let her knuckles hit the rock, but to no avail the rock is still hard.

Nashi cried both from pain and frustration, Natsu and Happy came to her side and calmed her down, Natsu immediately inspect her hand and was relieved their is no blood but it was really red.

"Is that crying I hear?" Nashi ran to that voice and hugged the approaching lady, "you know, you could have chosen an easier task Natsu," said Lucy while comforting Nashi.

"I was just trying to see what will she do, she wasn't as careless as I thought, I would have punched the rock as soon as I was told, I'm proud she was able to hold out this long," Natsu defended himself, "and I was willing to help her in anyway, I was just waiting for her to ask me."

Natsu bent down in front of crying Nashi, clinging on her mother's leg, "that's Lesson 1 for you young lady, if you do not know how or what to do, you can always ask me or mommy."

Lucy smiled and said, "That's what we are here for baby, we are team and mommy and daddy will always be at your side."

Nashi nod her head and wiped her tears away, "so daddy, how do I break that rock?"

Lucy and Happy watched as Natsu teach Nashi her very first spell, it took a couple of tries before Nashi did it, but it was a proud moment to both Lucy, Natsu and even Happy to see their little princess learn to use her own magic.

Trust is very important, right? yes.

While writing this, I thought it will be very touching to someday see the Dragneel family in training together.
