Three days, it's been three days since that little freckle face nerd left Katsuki standing on the sidewalk without finishing the conversation they were having. Katsuki Bakugo does not get left on the sidewalk, he leaves shitty extras there, but that little fucker was managing to flip the tables on him lately in a lot of areas. The blonde was sitting outside at a picnic table with his math book open a pencil in his hand as he chewed the eraser end of it his eyes looking off into the distance, his thoughts on everything except the work in front of him.
In the three days that had followed that little misunderstanding that night he hadn't even really seen Izuku, classes had started, he had practices and when he didn't the greenett just seemed to keep hidden from view.
Izuku was coming up the path by the university, yellow backpack over one shoulder his camera in his hand snapping random pictures as he walked along the tree lined sidewalk. The autumn sun was shining making the deep fall colors of the leaves illuminate like neon lights of yellow, orange, and red.
The greenett was doing well, he loved his classes had made a few friends like Kirishima Sero and Denki, he'd even snagged a part time job at the schools university store where they sold text books, school apparel, pens, pencils, snacks etc. He would be starting that in a few days.
He raised his camera looking through the lens aiming it at a huge tree that was in full orange fall color when something else in the veiw finder caught his attention, he felt his heart rate pick up, he zoomed in seeing familiar blonde spikes sitting at a picnic table in a black and white University football jacket. He snapped a picture quickly.
He hasn't seen the firey blonde since the awkward encounter outside the dorm the night that Katsuki insisted he misunderstood what he had seen.
Just because the greenett hadn't seen the blonde doesn't mean his thoughts weren't on him, quite the opposite. It seemed fiery rubies took up alot of space in his mind, even if he didn't really know why.
He wondered since that night if what Shoto had said was true, if this firey blonde was nothing more than bad boy who shuffled through hearts like a deck of cards leaving a trail of pain and destruction in his wake. Izuku didn't know much about relationships but the way he was so easily drawn to Katsuki he knew he could definitely lose himself quickly in feelings that might land him a broken heart, something he didn't think he wanted to deal with or even know if he could, yet suddenly he realized his stupid feet had just carried him right twards this heart breaker and he was now looking over his shoulder at the math paper in front of the blonde.
' What the hell Izuku?! Weren't you just thinking it might be a bad thing to get near this hot ticking time bomb?!'
" You uh...you um ..have number eight w-wrong ...You need to reverse the top two numbers "
' stupid mouth'
Red rubies snapped to soft emeralds of a freckled face that was dominating his thoughts lately.
' Well, look who the fuck it is.'
" Freckles, you shouldn't sneak up on me like that, you never know what I might do" , Katsuki said with a smirk that made the greenett flush instantly.
" S-sorry"
Katsuki grinned.
" I didn't say I minded, and I got this problem wrong huh?"
The greenett looked at the math paper and nodded.
" Yes, and....this one, same thing as eight, you just have to reverse the numbers on the top" , Izuku said softly as he reached down pointing to the equation.
