The next morning Izuku was awake before the sun rose waiting ,waiting impatiently for his aunt to get there so he could get on the road and get back to campus.Honestly he hadn't slept a wink last night, he had tried to get a hold of his boyfriend several more times but each time his text was left unread or it went right to voicemail.
That feeling that something was terribly off was churning inside him still. A worried anxiety ridden mind had kept him awake and if he had a dollar for everytime he had touched, twisted or pulled at the bracelet around his wrist his student debt would be paid off.
His mother noticed her worried son. She eyed him from the sofa.
" Izuku, are you ok hunny?"
Her voice broke him from his thoughts as he turned emerald eyes from outside to his mother's concerned gaze.
He bite his cheek wondering if he should say anything. He knows it could be nothing, maybe Katsuki really had just drank too much and passed out it's, it's definitely possible, probable even but since he's been with the firey quarterback he's never seen him drink to that excess, he knows he has in the past before the two were together but not since. He's seen him tipsy yeah but the large blonde actually held his alcohol pretty well that's why this seemed to be such a worry.
" Uh yeah, I'm good, just a little worried about Kacchan. Our call ended abruptly and I haven't heard from him. He didn't sound right last night either, so I'm just a little anxious that's all. I'm sure it's nothing" , he said forcing a smile.
She gave him a reassuring smile.
" I'm sure everything is fine sweetheart. Don't let your imagination get the best of you", she told him gently.
But that's the thing, he was doing exactly that. He trust his firey blonde but he won't deny that some place in the back of his mind there were shadows dancing taunting him with thoughts and images of his quarterback getting drunk and being unfaithful lost in a drunken stupor.
He bit the thought back cursing himself for thinking it. Yes Katsuki had that kind of past but not with him, things were different, right?
Inko saw the worry in emerald eyes.
" Izuku, go on and head back, your aunt will be here in no more than thirty minutes, I'll be fine till then"
" Are you sure mom? I mean I can wait if you..."
" I insist, go on back to that boyfriend of yours"
Izuku smiled kissing her cheek quickly grabbing his bag that was already packed by the door.
He was on the road in minutes driving a black and orange Camaro way faster than he should have been.
The hour and a half drive took a little less than an hour. It's amazing what a fast car and a worried mind can do.
Izuku's feet carried him quickly inside as he rushed to the elevator. Once the door opened he made his way down the hall swiftly. It was still early on a Saturday morning, the dorm was quiet with most everyone still sleeping. He stopped at the blonde's door but as he did his eyes shifted down the hallway to his room and something sticking out from underneath his door caught emerald eyes.
He scrunched his face, fingertips sliding from the blonde's door handle as he walked down the hall. He bent down seeing a rather large white envelope sticking out from the door.
He picked it up flipping it over and over studying it. There was no name name on it.
Something inside his stomach twisted and he almost didn't even want to open it.
