Tedal's P. O. V.

When we got to Red Hood Elementary, Emily and I signed our little brothers in and let them run off to the playground. As I was about to fly out with Emily, I see a familiar face in the corner of my eye.

"Zaiah?!" I say happily.

I see him turn around surprised and smile.

"Tedal my man!" Zaiah said with all his enthusiasm. "Where you been?"

"Um, down the fleeway" I say jokingly. I haven't seen Zaiah since the fifth grade at Shared school. We were the best of friends, for a normal and an exoctic."I didn't know you had a little sib to drop off," I say questionably.

"Oh no I don't," He says defensively.

I looked at him with a cunfused face

"I volunteer as an assistant here." He said reassuringly.

"Cool, hey what school do you go to?" I say anticipatingly.

"Ohwuh, Lemony Snicket Middle," he stuttered.

"Lemony Snicket, " I beamed "like the author?"

"Yeah it's supposed to be a smart school, but it's not" he joked, I think.

There was an awkward silence.

"Hey listen, I gotta get to school. But i have a little prank i gotta do." He says Breaking the silence.

"Really! What you gonna do?" My grammar falls and grow with the environment.

"Somethin' simple" he says plainly "I just need you to help me with a get away"

"Sure!" I exclaimed "what's the plan?"

"When ya see a rock go flying, you go flying under the flee way road," he said deviously "then I'll jump on yo back"

The last part took me aback "Woah what kind-a get away you planning?"

"I don't have time to explain," he said quickly "just watch from that tree."

"Okay" I say excitedly.

Zaiah runs out of the sign in area and heads toward the flee way road. Meanwhile I get a raised eyebrow from Emily.

"What?" I say still feeling pumped

"You're really going through with this?" she says more as a warning than a question.

"Yeah!" I say "C'mon I gotta watch for the rock"
