Everyone from Matt's and my shift and their families showed up with gifts and food at 7:50 am. I got up at 5 am to feed the quadruplets, but Matt woke up at 7:30 am. The babies are changed since 7:15 am and they are in their rockers in the living room. I set up 8 tables in the back yard, so they can put their gifts at one, and food at a couple. Everyone is being loud, so I went into the house and grabbed the megaphone. I said, "What is going on?" Matt said, "Harley, you forgot about the Easter party didn't you."
I said, "Yes I did." All the kids are inside playing carefully with the babies and I left Lee Henry in charge. I said, "Kids, you need to stay inside for a little while." I went back outside to the garage and grabbed the Easter eggs. I said, "At least I had these done a week before it was Easter." Then everyone else showed up from my brothers shifts. I said to Matt, "I'm just glad we have a huge enough yard for these parties." Matt said, "I know." I said, "We need to hid the eggs everywhere because I have 3 big laundry baskets full of easter eggs. Can I have my two brother and their wife's go in the house?"
Erin and Jay are married. Natalie and Will are married, and they have my nephew Owen. I was the maid of honor for both weddings. We all went inside and I said, "There are 4 cases of 6 bottle of beer. Everyone gets one when they leave. Natalie and Will, Owen's easter basket is in the back bedroom if you want to go look."
They went to go look and they came back and said, "How did you know that he needed a new bike" I said, "When I watched Owen a couple weekends ago he pointed it out in the store, so I took a photo of it and sent it to Matt and when we left. Matt went into the store and bought it. It was Stella, Kelly, Sylvie, and Cruz watching the babies since I had to run to the store and get more of the formula, diapers, baby lotions, baby powder, and wipes."
Natalie said, "How much was it?" I said, "It was on sale for $50. The original price was $150." I grabbed the Hawaiian Punch drinks out of the garage fridge. I brought the cooler with the pops and ice out of the garage. I said, "Pops are in the cooler." I am going to the store to get fruit for breakfast because they had to come over at 7:50 am. I'm at the store and I got strawberries, blue berries, raspberries, black berries, and bananas. I checked out and headed out to the Camero. I finally got home and got the strawberries cut. I plated everything and brought it outside. They pigged out on the fruit. I went back in to check on the babies. They are getting fussy because they are hungry.
I yelled, "Matt, Jay, Erin, Natalie, and Will, I need help with the babies. Natalie can you grab the baby bottles out of the fridge and warm the up for 30 seconds please." They run in and Natalie got the 4 bottles out and warmed them up one by one so they would get warm. I got Parker, Will has Josh, Matt has Ryan, and Jay has Ava. Natalie got all the bottles warmed up and Erin brought them to us. Everyone else came in and I said, "Luckily I bought two big long couches for all the people."
Wallace said, "Harley, how do you feel that they will be 7 months soon." I said, "Don't remind me because I'm going to miss their first steps. Ava trying to say ma ma. Josh tried to say da da a few days ago." Matt said, "I heard it on the baby monitor." I kissed Parker on the head. I said, "Kids the baskets are in the kitchen go get a basket." All the kids and everyone who has a baby. I said, "On the count of 3. 1, 2, 3, go." All of the kids went outside to hunt for eggs. Us adults who have the babies have to burb them. I gave everyone a burb cloth. We went outside and laid the burb cloths in the laundry basket.
Ryan babbled loudly, "Da Da." I looked at Matt and then at Ryan. Everyone heard it and looked at Ryan. I walked up to Will and kissed Ryan head. I said to Ryan, "I love you sweet boy." I started to cry because my babies are starting to talk. All the adults hugged me to make me stop crying. All the kids found the eggs. The kids joined the hug and I started to laugh that everyone is hugging me. Then everyone let go because I was laughing. I went inside with Parker to go up to my bedroom to calm down. Jay handed off Ava to Erin.
Will handed off Ryan to Natalie. Jay and Will followed me. Jay said, "Are you okay?" I said, "I don't know because I been super busy with work and the babies. Matt and I barely get anytime for each other anymore." Matt over heard what I said to my brothers. Matt came in with Josh. Erin came in with Ava. Natalie came in with Ryan. I said, "I am fine. I just need time to relax, but that won't happen because of my cute quadruplets. I can't believe they are only 6 months because it has felt like a year has gone by, but it hasn't."
Matt said, "How about our next day off you and Stella have a girls day?" I said, "Then who is going to help you watch these cuties." Wallace came up to my bedroom and Matt said, "Wallace, Herman, Kelly and myself." I said, "Are you sure? They can be a handful." Matt said, "Yes." Wallace said, "I will do anything for my daughter."I went over to hug Wallace. Wallace hugged me tight. We all went back downstairs. Herman started cooking for me and I said, "You didn't have to do that Herman."
Herman said, "I know what you are going through with 4 babies." I said, "Thank you for taking over the food." Parker wanted uncle Kelly and I said, "Kelly, I guess Parker wants you to hold her." Kelly came and got Parker. People on Matt's and my shift at the fire house is the kids aunt's and uncle's because Matt and I want them to feel as much love from everyone in our group. Matt gave Josh off to Antonio. Matt came up behind me and put his arms around me.
I turned around and hugged him. I am looking up at Matt and he started kissing me. The kids walked by and said, "Ewe." I said, "Knock it off or I will take all of the candy back." They left Matt and I alone. Jay took a photo of Matt hugging me and sent it to me. Jay's lock screen is of me holding Parker, Matt holding Josh, Will holding Ryan, Jay holding Ava, Natalie and Owen, and Erin all in one photo and the photo was taken by Hank.
Jay's home screen is me and my kids. Jay loves me to death because I been a warrior ever since what happened to me. I grabbed 2 beer out of the fridge for me and Matt. I walked out and gave Matt a beer. I said, "Can I have everyone's attention for a few minutes?" Everyone stopped what they were doing. I said, "I want to say how great full I am for having a great support system through the hospital, the 21st district, and at fire house 51 because I been through a lot in my life with my brother's by my side every step of the way. Then when I was 13, my brother Will and Natalie got married, and I got a big sister what I always wanted. Then when I was 15, my brother Jay got married to Erin, so I got 2 older sisters, but I knew Erin way before Jay did because of Nadia. Then when I joined fire house 51 and I met the best people I could ask for as my family because they saw a skinny 16 year old walk into their fire house for the first time and I remember that Tony and Kelly were staring at me because of my looks, but Matt who got to me before they flirted with me. I was at the fire house for 2 years for the Secretary job and when I turned 18 I took on the firefighter classes. Then I fell in love with Matt Casey when I was 19, but he didn't know it at the time. Then when I was 22, I asked him out. I am a 25 year old who's married to the love of my life and who has quadruplets. I can't believe my life is perfect. I have the best 2 older brothers I could ever ask for. I love everyone of you as my own family because I barely had a family growing up, but my brothers."
Everyone said, "Here here." The kids ran up to me and hugged, but Lee Henry. I said, "Yo, Mr.Grumpy Pants what's a matter? No one should be a grump at my house on a holiday. Kids let go, so I can bring Lee Henry inside to talk." The kids let go and I said, "Inside now." Herman followed me and Lee Henry. Herman said, "Son, what's going on?" Lee Henry said, "Ever since the quadruplets came, I barely get to hang out with Harley." I said, "You can always have your dad call me and I would of took you out to do something Lee Henry. I could had Matt, Kelly, Stella and Wallace watch my kids for me so we could hang out."
Lee Henry said, "How about your next day off we could hang out?"I said, "You are lucky I have two days off coming up in a row. My first day off is a girls day with Stella. Then the next day I will hang out with you, okay." Lee Henry hugged me and went back outside. Herman said, "Thank you. He has been grumpy ever since you been constantly busy with work and the babies." I said, "I know. I was there when he was born and I was the first one to hold him after you and Cindy."
Herman hugged me and we headed back outside. Kelly handed Parker back to me because she is getting cranky. I said, "Thank you for giving me a cranky baby." I went inside with Parker and checked her diaper. It was Parker diaper because she has poop in it. I changed it and said, "You are fine now Parker." Parker and I went back outside and Antonio gave me Josh. I handed Antonio Parker. I went back inside with Josh. Josh needs his diaper changed. I changed his diaper and we headed back outside. I handed off Josh to Erin and she gave me Ava. Natalie gave me Ryan.
I said, "Geez. All the babies need a diaper change." Matt came in to help me to change the diapers. Matt changed Ava's diaper and I changed Ryan's diaper. We headed outside with the babies. Ryan started crying again because it's nap time. I said, "Antonio, Erin, and Matt it's time to put the babies down for a nap." We all went inside and headed upstairs. I got to the boys room and I sat down in the rocking chair and turned on the sound machine to low. Erin came in and sat down in the other rocking chair. Matt and Antonio went into the girls room. Matt turned on the sound machine to low. Antonio sat down in the rocking chair and same with Matt. Ryan is asleep and I got up to put him in his crib. Josh is asleep to so Erin put him in his crib.
We left and I shut the door quietly. I went to peek in the girls room and they are asleep. Matt and Antonio came out. Matt shut the door quietly. We all headed back downstairs and we got outside. I said, "No one be loud in the house because the babies are asleep. We need to keep it down out here to so the noice won't wake them up." Matt came up behind me and put his arms around me. Matt started kissing me neck.
Everyone is sitting by the pool having there feet in. I turned around and hugged Matt. Matt and I sat down at the deep end and put our feet in. My head is on Matt's shoulder. It's about dinner time and most of everyone has left, but my brothers and their families, Stella and Kelly are still here. I am hear the babies on the baby monitors that the babies are awake.
I said, "Matt, Jay and Will let's go get those babies because they are hungry."
Matt, Jay, Will and I headed inside and upstairs.
I said on the baby monitor, "Hey Natalie, can you warm of the baby bottles are in the fridge."
Natalie said, "Okay."
Natalie went into the kitchen and got the bottles warmed up. I got Parker because she is in a mood, Matt got Ryan, Jay got Ava, and Will got Josh. We all headed downstairs and sat on the couch. Natalie passed out the bottles to us. Everyone else came inside and sit in the living room with us while we feed the babies. Owen came to sit by me because he loves his baby cousins.
I said, "Will, can you go get Owen's easter present from the other room."
Will grabbed the bike and brought it out.
Owen got up and started jumping up and down.
I said, "Owen, do you like your Easter present?"
Owen said, "Yes."
Owen came up to me and kissed me on the cheek.
I said, "Uncle Matt bought it to."
Owen went to Matt and hugged them.
Owen said, "Thank you aunt Harley and uncle Matt."
We said, "You are so Welcome buddy."
The babies finished their bottles and Natalie has their burb cloth ready for me on the coffee table.
We gave the bottles to Natalie and I said, "Just put water in them because I will clean them later."
Natalie went into the kitchen and she just washed them because she felt like I have to much on my plate.
I got Parker to burb, so I hand her off to Matt and Matt handed me Ryan. It took me a while to burb Ryan, and got up to hand Ryan off to Will. Will gave me Josh and Josh was easy to burb. Then I finally handed Josh off to Jay and Jay handed me Ava. Ava took longer than Ryan did.
I said, "Geez Ava when are you going to burb."
Ava finally did and I put her in her rocker, so I can put the burb cloth in the babies laundry basket. I sat down in the laundry room to breathe because I suddenly got dizzy.
I put my head between my knees and Kelly came into the laundry room. Kelly sat down on the floor with me and he took my hand. Stella saw Kelly and I in the laundry room. Stella knows there isn't anything between us because Kelly is my best friend since I joined fire house 51. My head is on Kelly's shoulder.
I said, "I believe that my PTSD came back because of what showed up in my office."
Kelly said, "I know."
We got up from the floor and went back to the living room. I grabbed a beer before I went back into the living room, but I chugged it. I put the bottle in the trash and Erin came into the kitchen and saw me chug a beer.
I do have scarring from when I tried to committee suicide when I was 15 because I couldn't handle the PTSD, but when I joined the fire house it changed. The only 3 people I told that I tried to committee suicide was Wallace, Stella, and Kelly. I wiped my tears before everyone else saw. I went upstairs to take my makeup off. I got into my room and into my bathroom. I grabbed my makeup wipes. I grabbed one out and wiped all the makeup off my face.
I got it off and headed back downstairs.
I picked up Ava and said, "Hey Ava."
I sat down with Ava on the couch by Matt and Ryan. Matt put his hand on my thigh. I put my open hand on top of his. Matt flipped his hand over and he grabbed my hand. Matt kissed my hand. Kelly and Stella left, so it's just my brothers, their families, Matt, the babies and myself. Erin wanted to hold Ava, so I handed Ava over to her. I went to the backyard to sit out there by the pool. Matt, my brothers and their families, and the babies are up in the play room upstairs.
I fell asleep by the pool and Natalie look out the window. Natalie saw me asleep by the pool. I am lighter than Natalie by a few pounds. Natalie came down and brought me to the couch, and she covered me up. I did not have my shoes on. Matt put Ryan in his crib and turned the sound machine on low. Jay put Josh in his crib. Natalie already put Parker in her crib when she had to come get me. Erin just put Ava in her crib and turned the noise machine low.
My brothers and their families came down with Matt. My brothers kissed me on the forehead. They left and Matt sat down by my head. Matt turned on Netflix and he turned on NCIS without me.
I woke up and said, "You were seriously going to watch this without me."
Matt said, "No."
I said, "Liar."
I got up to lock the front door, and I shut the blinds. I came to sit back down. When I did sit back down Matt started kissing my neck, so I decided to sit on his lap facing him. Matt turned off the TV. I took off my shirt and my bra. Matt picked me up and took me to the downstairs guest bedroom.
I still had my shirt and bra still in my hand. We finally got to the bedroom and I threw my shirt and bra down. Matt shut the door and tossed me on the bed. Matt came over and I took his shirt off. Matt took off his pants and boxers. Matt took off my pants and underwear. I started giving Matt a blow job and he is staring at my ass. I feel that his dick is getting super hard fast. I'm on the birth control shot because I don't like having my period every month since I'm a Lieutenant Firefighter. It is only 8 o'clock at night and the babies are still sound asleep. Matt and I went upstairs to put pajamas on, but we ran upstairs naked. I got underwear on, pajama shorts and one of Matt's old shirts what he gave to me when I was pregnant.
I went back downstairs to grab our clothes to put them in the laundry room. I got dizzy when I came out of the laundry room and I carefully walked to the kitchen to sit down in a chair. Matt came down because he was wondering what was taking me forever. Matt saw me almost passed out at the table and he came into the kitchen to pick me up to carry me to bed. We finally got to our bedroom and Matt put me on my side of the bed.
Matt checked the video feed in the babies room's on his phone. Matt finally went to bed. We do have baby monitors everywhere in our house, but when we are upstairs we turn the ones downstairs off. I flipped around and slapped Matt in the face. Matt moved my hand back to my side of the bed. The babies usually sleep during the night, but we wake up at 4:30 every morning.
It is only 10 o'clock at night and I had to get up to pee. I walked to the bathroom and went to the bathroom. I washed my hands and then I came back to bed. I climbed back into bed. Matt came closer to me to cuddle. I couldn't go back to bed and I put pandora on to low volume. I started to fall asleep again. Now it is 11:30 at night and I'm sound asleep. I have to be up in 5 hours because that is the time the babies get up since they are hungry, so Matt and I both get up at that time. Matt is sound asleep and whispering something that I can't make out.
Now it is time to get up because the babies need to be feed. Matt and I both woke up around the same time. I went downstairs to get the bottles warmed up to room temperature since I had them made the day before. The bottles are warmed up and I brought them all up. I brought them to the girls room. I set 2 of them down and Matt came to get the boys bottles. I grabbed Ava first because she is the one who is awake.
My sweet Parker Kate is still asleep surprisingly because she is the first one to be awake and to cry. Ava is still drinking her bottle. Parker woke up and saw me in the chair with Ava. Parker is pumped up to that I was feeding them today. I said, "My sweet Parker is happy that I get to feed her."
Matt feed, burped, and changed them. Ava just finished and she finally burped without me patting her back. Matt put the boys in the play room on their stomach's. Matt came into the girls room. I said, "Ava needs her diaper changed. Parker wants me to feed her." Matt grabbed Ava from me and I put her bottle down. I got up and picked up Parker. Matt changed Ava's diaper. I grabbed her bottle and sat down with her. I started feeding her and Parker is staring up at me. I said, "I love you my sweet Parker." Parker wrapped her hands around the bottle. Matt is staring at me and Parker.
Matt said, "I love the way you take care of our babies. I love you Harley." I said, "I know you do. I love you too Matt." Matt grabbed Ava and brought her to the play room to be with her brothers. Parker just got done and I faced her towards me shoulder to burp her. Parker burped fast and I got up to bring her to the changing table to change her.
Parker is smiling up at me. I changed Parker's diaper and put her pajama pants back on. I picked her up and brought her to the play room. Matt took Parker. I said, "I'm going to the rooms to get the bottles to bring down to wash." I went to the girls room first and grabbed the bottles. Then I went to the boys room and grabbed their bottles.
I got downstairs with all the bottles and I heard a noise in the shed. I went into the storage closet and grabbed a softball bat. I put the bottles into the sink and opened the sliding door quietly. I had the bat ready to use and I looked in the shed. It was just my brother's looking for something. They looked back and saw I had a softball bat in my hands. I said, "What the hell are you doing in my shed at 6 o'clock in the morning?"
They said, "We needed a tool." I said, "The tools are in the garage. Nice try. What are you guys really doing here?" Jay said, "It was our turn to help out with the quadruplets this morning and the girls have the house key to your place. I knew where the sliding door key was in the shed."
I said, "All of the locks what go to the house is one key to make it easier on Matt and I. The sliding door has a thumb print scanner on the handle. It already has Matt, your guys, Erin, Natalie, Hank, Wallace, Kelly, Stella, Brett, and myself thumb print already in the system because it is way easier if they forget their keys or the want to be quieter on coming in." Jay said, "You are a genius for doing that." I said, "It was more of Kelly's and Matt's idea because I always leave my keys inside and Matt sometimes forget I go outside to the shed and locks the door." We all went inside.
