Chicago Fire: Family Edition

Lawsuit Day

       It is 6 am and I got up to get up. I slept in yesterday's clothes, but I'm changing them when I get to the fire house to get my fire fighter uniform on. I got a call from Matt's and my lawyer.
      I answered, "Hey Jen."  Jen said, "Looks like Christie dropped the lawsuit against you." I said, "How the hell? She hates me to death." Jen said, "She was arrested last night because she was trespassing on your property and she had a restraining order against you. She broke her own restraining order because she wanted to break into your house and hurt your kids." I said, "That is weird because my security system should of picked up movement in my front or back yard." I brought up the cameras on my tablet and saw that Christie slashed the van tires and my truck tires.
      I said, "Now I have to spend well over $1,000 to get my vehicles tires because that bitch slashed them. Luckily she did not get to my Camero because my brother's work and my work would fucking flip out since they are the ones who bought that car. That car was a present for passing my Lieutenant's test." Matt just got by Kelly and Stella. Matt came up stairs and said, "Get ready." I said, "The lawsuit is over because your sister dropped it. Now we have to get 8 new tires for both of our daily vehicles because your crazy sister slashed them. She got arrested to for trespassing on our property and breaking the restraining order that she had on us."
     Matt said, "How much are you talking about for new tires?" I said, "Probably well over $1,000, but we have one spare of each." Matt said, "I will buy the tires." I said, "With what money." Matt said, "We can use a little bit of the money what we got from my Aunt Ruth." I said, "Matt no. That's for the kids college and weddings. I think I have an emergency stash of cash in my Camero." I ran down the stairs and went into the garage. I opened the door to my Camero and grabbed the coffee can from under the drivers seat. I shut the Camero door and came in. I shut the garage door and ran back upstairs.
    Matt said, "You had a stash of cash in the Camero all this time." I said, "I found it when I got the car. It must me a present from the hospital, Hank's unit and his uniforms, the fire house, and the pass the boot around at. Molly's when I had my surgery I guess." Matt said, "How much is in it?" I said, "When I counted it, and it was a little over $5,000. I did not want to use it until we had to for the vehicles. That is why I did not tell you about it. I made sure that it was hidden the whole time that it was in the Camero." Matt said, "Still. Who all knew about that it was under the seat?"
     I said, "Kelly, I believe because that is who gave me the keys. I only found the money 2 weeks ago anyway." Matt said, "You had the Camero for almost a year now." I said, "Yes, but I haven't moved the seat when I got the Camero." Matt went downstairs and called Kelly. Kelly answered, "Hey Matt what do you need." Matt said, "I need help finding out what tires are on the minivan and Harley's Truck because my crazy sister slashed them last night." Kelly said, "That is why the vehicles were sitting funny."
   Matt said, "I did not notice until Harley told me." Kelly said, "I'm outside." Matt went to the front door and said, "Alexa turn off alarm system." That woke Jake up and Jake said, "When did you get home Matt?" Matt said, "This morning." Matt unlocked the door and opened the door. Kelly came in and saw Jake awake on the couch. Kelly said, "What is your stepdad sleeping on your couch?" Matt said, "He was watching the babies and he apparently was pasted out when Harley got home."
    Kelly came up to see how I was doing. Kelly came into Matt's and my bedroom, but I am in the girls room. Parker is awake so I grabbed her, and Kelly found us. Parker is smiling and put her arms around my neck, but before she removed her arms Kelly got a picture. I said, "Parker, you are the funny one." I looked over and saw Kelly. I said quietly, "What the hell are you doing here?" I went out in the hall and Kelly said, "I'm here to help Matt to figure out what tires you guys need." I said, "So my husband can not do a simple task by himself. Take Parker for a while."
    I handed off Parker and ran downstairs. I said, "Matthew Michael Casey!" Matt said, "What?" I said, "You know what I am mad about." Matt said, "I did not know how to find out what kind of tires they are." I grabbed the keys to the minivan and the truck. I said, "Follow me Matt." Matt followed me and I unlocked the minivan to get out the book. I said, "Go through this and find the tire page. Same goes with the truck. I handed him the keys and I went back in. Kelly came out and saw how pissed I was.
     Jake said, "I understand the anger towards Matt because I have tried to teach him how to change a tire and find out what tires you need." I said, "Don't. Where is my daughter?" Jake said, "Kelly has her." I went back out there to grab my daughter. I said, "She does not come out without a jacket and shoes." Kelly said, "Sorry." I brought Parker back in and handed her to grandpa. I said, "I hear the other babies starting to wake up." I ran upstairs and got on the baby holder, but Jake put Parker in her swing to come help me. I put one on backwards. Jake said, "What are you doing?"
    I said, "Just put Ryan back there please because he just lays his side of his face on my back. Then help me get Josh and put him in the front." Jake said, "Let me take these boys down for you." I said, "Ok." I took off the wrap and went to go get Ava. Ava is still asleep and we went downstairs. Josh and Ryan are in their swings. I put Ava in hers, but she did not want to be put down. I sat down on the couch with her and I felt her forehead, and she is burning up. I said, "Dad, can you get me the baby thermometer?"
     Kelly and Matt came back in and dad brought me the baby thermometer. I ran it across Ava's forehead. I said, "Damn it." Matt said, "What is it?" I said, "Ava has a low grade fever. I wonder how she got that boys." They all pointed fingers at each other. I said, "That's enough. Someone just get me a cold damp wash cloth, so I can get her temperature down, before I do anything." Dad said, "Are you sure about this?" I said, "Yes. I am a Lieutenant Firefighter and I have paramedic training." Matt said, "When did you take paramedic classes?"
    I said, "When I was off work for months because of that wreck we were in." Dad said, "You were in a wreck." I said, "The wreck happened because of his crazy lunatic ex wife caused, but luckily I killed her before she could kill me. I do have experience with guns, fire hoses, and medical equipment. I'm a mixture of my 2 brothers." Kelly got me that cold damp wash cloth and handed it to me. I folded it up so I can hold it better on Ava's forehead.
     I said, "Can you 3 feed the others please? There bottles should be prepared and in the fridge. Matt before you doing else, and check the other babies for a fever." Matt got the baby thermometer off the coffee table and started with Parker since they share a room. I am trying to keep Ava asleep so she won't be as fussy. Ava is still asleep and I fell asleep along with her. Matt, Dad and Kelly took the other babies up to the playroom for a while. It is now 1 pm and Matt came down and woke me up.  Matt said, "Harley, you have took a nap for 2 hours."
     I said, "I must have passed out with Ava in my arms since she has a fever." Matt checked my forehead and said, "You are burning up." I said, "I feel fine." Dad came down and said, "I over heard that Harley is burning up. I will put a baby play pin up in the guest bedroom down here so them won't give it to the rest of the house." Dad went to the extra room and grabbed the play pin and put it in the guest bedroom. Dad put the play pin up and ready for me. Matt put 8 diapers, a thing of wipes, extra clothes for both of us, 3 Fruit Punch Gatorades, and a baby monitor. Ava and I headed into the bedroom with her bottle.
     I said, "I hate you Matthew Michael."   Matt said, "What did I do?" I said, "For taking the babies out without the proper clothing. You are sleeping on the couch once I break this fever." Ava is eating her bottle and I sat on the bed after I shut the door. Matt went to the door because the tires have arrived. I said, "Those better be the tires Matthew Michael." Matt said, "They are because Herman, Tony, Cruz, and Capp brought them." Tony said, "I'm guessing the wife is pissed." I said, "You know I can still hear you Tony and yes I am pissed."
     Matt grabbed the keys to both vehicles. Matt shut the front door. Capp said, "What's with her?" Matt said, "Ava gave her whatever she has." They got the new tires on the 2 vehicles in the driveway. They came back inside and I brought up the cameras of the play room. That Kelly, dad and the babies weren't in there. I came out and said to Matt, "I just checked the cameras and I didn't see Kelly, dad or the babies anywhere." Matt said, "The babies are laying down and Kelly and dad had to get going."
       Capp went into the kitchen to look for food and I said, "Good luck finding anything Capp because I haven't been grocery shopping in a week." Capp headed back the other way. I checked my fever and it is down to a low grade one. I headed back into the bedroom. Ava is still up in the play pin and I smelled a dirty diaper. I said, "Geez Ava." I hurried and changed her. I said, "Matt, can you come get this diaper and throw it in the diaper trash can." Matt came in to grab the dirty diaper.
    It is the morning and my fever has broke same with Ava's, so we came out of the room. Ava is pumped up to see her sister because she missed waking up to her. I put Ava in her swing and started making the bottles. Matt heard me moving downstairs and Ava laughing. Matt grabbed Parker first and brought her down and Ava started screaming because she saw Parker. I put the gates up in the living room so the girls can be on the floor. Matt went back upstairs to get the boys. I sat down with the girls on the floor to feed them. Parker came up to me first because she missed her momma. I picked Parker up and started feeding her. Matt brought the boys down and put them in the living room. Ryan and Josh crawled to me fast and started climbing on me.
     I got done feeding Parker and Matt came and got her to burp her. I fed both boys at the same time because they wanted to hold their own bottle this morning. Ava got done burping and Matt put her down. Everyone one from Matt's and my shift is at the front door. Same with my brothers shifts. Matt got up to open the door. Everyone started to fill in and I said, "Go through the kitchen and outside because I have to keep the gates up since the babies are mobile."  Everyone is outside, but Matt, Jay and Will because they are helping me with the babies. Will picked up Josh and Jay picked up Ava. Matt picked up Ryan and I get my sweet Parker because she wanted me to hold her. We all walked outside with the babies after we changed their diapers. We finally got outside and everyone saw how cute the babies looked in their pajamas.
Parker wanted Kelly, so I gave him Parker.
     I went inside to take a shower, and Matt handed Ryan to Stella to sneak inside with me. I got upstairs to Matt's and my bedrooms bathroom and Matt hurried to get into the bathroom with me. I locked the door and Matt hasn't changed from his pajamas yet. Matt took off my clothes and I took his clothes off. We got into the shower and I turned it onto warm.
    Matt pushed me up against the wall and started kissing me deeply with Matt's hands on my face. I got down on my knees and started giving Matt a blow job. Matt is enjoying it and moaning softly. Matt pulled me up and got down on his knees and started. I squirm and moan softly. Then we started having sex doggy style with Matt kissing my neck and Matt finally cums.
      It only takes us 10 minutes to have sex because we have it down to 2 simple positions before Matt cums and those our me riding him and doggy style. We got finished in the shower and we got out of the shower. I grabbed a towel hurried to dry my hair because I had to get back to the babies. I hurried to dry off and Matt wrapped a towel around him. Matt grabbed my hair brush to brush my hair after I put on my bra and shirt. Matt got my hair brushed and gave me the hair brush to brush my hair in a ponytail to make a bun.
     I got my hair done and halfway dressed. I ran to the bedroom to grab my underwear, pants, socks and shoes to put on. I got everything on and slid down the railing of the stairs. I got to the bottom of the stairs and I heard one of the babies crying. I ran outside and it was just Otis because he was in a headlock by my brother Jay. I said, "No more wrestling at my house because I thought one of the babies were crying."
     They said, "Aw man." I said, "Next time you would think not to wrestle around the babies." Ava wanted me so Wallace handed me her. I started bouncing Ava because she loved being bounced on my knee. Ava is smiling and Kelly took a photo of me and Ava. I hugged Ava because I just love her as much as her 3 other siblings. I kissed Ava's cheek and she smiled big. Matt wanted Ava, so I gave Ava to him. Stella gave me Ryan because he wanted some mommy time. Ryan sat on my lap clinging to my shirt trying to stand up.
     Everyone is looking at Ryan trying to stand. I have my arms on Ryan's sides to make sure he doesn't fall. Ryan stood up on his own on my lap and Jay got it on video. I kissed Ryan's cheek and said to him, "My strong little man." I gave Ryan to Maggie because Maggie wanted to hold him. I went inside to grabbed a glass of milk because I needed to drink some since my calcium level is low. I grabbed an orange to eat to. Matt came in and said, "Are you okay because you aren't as social as you have before?"
    I said, "It is just them showing up early without telling us and I did not go to the store yet." Matt said, "They actually told me and I forgot to tell you." I said, "Seriously. When did they text you?" Matt said, "Two days ago." I said, "Seriously Matthew Michael Casey!" I finished my orange and went up to the attic and worked out. Everyone is getting hungry, so Matt decided to run to the store to get food. I got done working out and came down to see that the babies are in their swings by themselves with no on watching them.
    I went outside and yelled, "Who's responsible for leaving the babies unattended in their swings?!" Everyone saw how red my face got because I'm so angry. I went back inside and the gates are still up, so I decided to put the babies on the floor to play. They all crawled to me and climbed on me. I smiled at all of them and said, "You guys make me keep fighting for because every morning I get up at 4:30 to take care of you and it makes me smile."   
      Matt, Kelly, Stella, Tony, and Herman overheard me talking to the babies. They went back outside. Matt said, "We just overheard Harley talking to the babies. She is only keep going for the babies because she feels overwhelmed with by doing everything herself. I say we help her out more because she works her butt off for us and the babies everyday. Who is with me?"
     Everyone said, "I." I laid down and the babies got up onto of me. The babies and I fell asleep on the floor. Everyone came in and started taking photos of me and the babies who are asleep. They just left us there for hours and I started to smell dirty diapers. I yelled, "Matt, Wallace, Jay, and Will. I need help getting these babies off of me because I smell a dirty diapers since I am face down towards the floor." They came running in and got over the fence. They got the babies off of me and I got up. Jay gave me Ava because he did not want to change a diaper since it stunk so bad.
      We all headed up to the babies rooms, but Wallace and Matt went to the boys room to clean them up. Then Will and I headed to girls room to get them cleaned up. We got the babies cleaned up. Owen and Natalie came up because Owen wanted to see his baby cousins to give them a kiss on their foreheads. They went to the boys room first. Matt said, "What are you doing up here without anyone?" Natalie said, "I'm across the hall Matt." Owen said, "I want to give my baby cousins a kiss on the forehead." Owen is only 3 and wanted to give his baby cousins a kiss. Owen kissed Ryan's forehead, then Josh's forehead, and came running over to the girls room.
    Owen said, "Parker!" Owen had a special bond with Parker because everytime, he visited me when I was pregnant he talked to Parker. Owen kissed Ava's forehead and then Parker's forehead. I said, "How sweet of you Owen? Soon you will be able to run and play with your cousins." Owen screamed, "YAY!" Natalie took Owen back downstairs. I have baby slopper all over the back of my shirt and I don't care because these babies wear me out. Ava's head is on Will's shoulder.
    Will said, "I'm guessing someone is tired." I said, "She is just fooling you. She does that all the time to me because she just wants to be held. She knows it is about to be nap time after we eat after."
The babies are 7 months old now and they are eating soft foods now. The time flies fast with quadruplets, a child as a husband, and I deal with his child best friend named Kelly because they always do stupid shit together. One night when I was pregnant and at Kelly's apartment and I got a call from Stella at the bar saying that my husband and her husband were drunk out of their minds, so I had to walk 7 blocks to Molly's since my husband had my truck keys.
     The adults who have the babies in our arms headed downstairs. I barely get a break from the babies or take a break from everything else in my life. I pulled Matt to the side and said, "Hey tomorrow you are going to deal with the babies for a couple of hours because I'm going to the gym." Will overheard me and said, "I would love to help Matt tomorrow." Natalie said, "I would too." Maggie said, "I would too." Ben said, "I go where Maggie goes." Erin said, "Jay and I would do it." I said, "Thank you guys, but Matt needs to spend with the babies." They said, "We all can knock out a baby." 
    I said, "Jay and Erin you get Ryan tomorrow. Maggie and Ben you get Parker tomorrow because my little miss Parker loves her auntie Maggie and her uncle Ben. Ava gets her daddy because she is a daddy's girl. Then Will and Natalie you get Josh tomorrow." I have Parker in my arms and Lee Henry said, "Can I hold her?" I said, "Let's go sit inside because I don't want her to get hurt out here."
    Lee Henry, Parker, and I went inside. We sat on the couch and I said, "Lee Henry have your hands around her back so she won't fall back." I gave him Parker. Parker started laughing and Lee Henry is smiling because he sees how happy these babies make me. Matt came in behind me and hugged me and kissed my neck. I said, "Matt." Matt said, "Yes." I said, "Go back outside with those babies because I do not want to fall and hit there head or drown in the pool."
   Matt went back outside since he knows I don't like it when neither of us aren't with the babies. Lee Henry handed me back Parker because he wanted to go outside. I stayed inside with Parker and played on the floor. Parker and I played so hard that we crashed with her on my chest on the floor. I am completely laid out on the floor. Brett came to check my pulse because she saw me on the floor not moving with Parker on top of me.
I punched Brett in the stomach because I thought it was Matt or one of the guys. 
    I said, "That is why you never put your hands on me when I have one of my babies on me because my momma instincts never turn off when I have my kids around me and at work." Brett is on the floor completely and Cindy came in to help Brett out because Cindy knows not to wake a sleeping momma bear with one of her cubs on her and Cindy learned before when she helped me with the babies. I wrapped my arms around Parker and took her outside to hand her off to Erin. Erin started dancing with Parker. I turned on appropriate kid music for everyone to start dancing. I went inside and get some fluids inside of me because I am dehydrated since I was playing with the babies all day. Matt came up behind me and hugged me. I kissed Matt on his cheek. I sat on the counter and Matt leaned up against the counter.
    Everyone is dancing and I pulled the camera up on my tablet. I smiled and Matt smiled at me. I said, "This is what I wanted to see people who we care about having fun." Herman came in and said, "Come on you two we are having fun without you guys." Herman grabbed both of our arms and I hop down for the counter. Jay turned it to my song what I gave birth to the quadruplets to. I said, "How did you find that song? I thought I deleted it from my phone. That is the song I played everyday for them when they were inside my stomach."
     The song is called She Somebody's Daughter by Drew Baldridge. The babies are looking at me and I said, "It's your guys favorite song. The song was Matt and my first dance together ever." Jay said, "It was in your archives." I said, "Thank you for getting that song back for me." I look at all my babies and I see them extremely happy because they love that song. Matt said, "I forgot that was the first song we danced to." I said, "I didn't forget because it was at Molly's and I turned it on through the speakers after closing hours. You said we were going to get the cops called on us, but we didn't. That was a month after we started dating."
     Matt grabbed my hand and we started dancing. I put my other hand on Matt's shoulder and we started slow dancing then we picked the pace up. Matt spinned me and I came back into a hug. Then I did a cart wheel while Matt made sure I didn't fall. We did a lot of dance moves to recreate our first dance.
The song got over and Matt put me down. The most of the guys had surprised looks on their faces when I did my cart wheel. I said, "I forgot to tell you I was in gymnastics when I was little. Jay, Will, Erin, Natalie, and Stella knew that I was and I still kept doing gymnastics after the incident happened because it kept my mind off of it. That is why I can fit into small spaces when we are on calls because I'm flexible and short."
     Wallace said, "That is why I see you do that on calls." I said, "No dip. I usually take off my tank and put it outside then grab it and put it back on while I still had my face mask on. I was at the top of my class at the fire academy because I do not let anything bother me. I broke some of the guys records to." Wallace said, "Whose records did you break?" I said, "Lieutenant Kelly Severide and Captain Matthew Casey."
     They looked at each other with confused faces. Matt looked at me and said, "You beat our records." I said, "Yes."  Kelly said, "The initials on the board said H Halstead." I said, "I told them to do that because I didn't want you guys to find out. There was another H Halstead at the academy at the same time. His name was Hunter Halstead. My cousin. I told him to take the fire academy course with me because we were always had the same interest. He works out of fire house 25."
     Will and Jay said, "We had a cousin named Hunter?" I said, "Aunt Elizabeth and uncle Nick kid Hunter. Who you guys saw me with at every family get together because we were unbreakable back when we were kids. He is still my best friend today." I heard Hunter's truck pulled up. I ran inside and opened the door to see Hunter. Hunter said, "There is my bestie." I ran into Hunter's arms.
    I said, "There are people I want you to meet. You already met my husband Matt at the wedding. You have 4 second cousins to meet from me and 1 second cousin from Will." Hunter said, "I have 5 second cousins." I said, "I sent you a photo of my 4 to you when they were first born." Hunter said, "I forgot. It's my wallpaper of my phone." We headed to the backyard through the house. Matt said, "It is nice to see you again Hunter." Matt and Hunter hugged because the became good friends, since Hunter and I used to hang out every weekend we could.
   Jay hugged Hunter and said, "It's good to see you man." Hunter said, "Same Jay." Will hugged Hunter and said, "Nice you see you Hunter."  Hunter said, "You too. Where are my 4 baby cousins?"  Erin, Natalie, Maggie, and Wallace brought the babies to the front, so Hunter could meet them all. I said and went up to each baby, "This one is Parker. She is a momma's girl sometimes a daddy's girl when momma isn't home. Ava is a total daddy's girl. Ryan is totally a momma's boy and Josh is a daddy's boy."
      The babies smiled at Hunter because they haven't done stuff to him yet. I said, "Where is the little man Owen?" Owen came running to me and I picked him up. I said, "This is Will's and Natalie's kid Owen. Owen is 3 about to be 4." Owen fist bumped Hunter. I said, "Owen likes you, Hunter." Maggie handed over Parker to Hunter to see how she would react to him. Parker was a little hesitant at first, but she got used to Hunter. I said, "My sweet little Parker loves her cousin Hunter."
     I took a photo of Hunter and Parker. I sent the photo to Hunter. Then Maggie took Parker back, so Hunter can hold Ava.  I said, "Miss Ava is a little wild thing just like her daddy." Matt said, "Hey?!" I said, "It was a compliment Matt." I took a photo of Ava and Hunter, and I sent it to Hunter. Matt took Ava back all mad at me. Natalie gave Ryan to Hunter. I took a photo of them and said, "Ryan sure does love his momma because everytime I get him from his crib, he is giggling." Natalie got Ryan back and Erin gave Josh to Hunter. I said, "Josh is more of a laid back baby because he just wants to take in the scenery."
     I took a photo of them and sent the last 3 photos to Hunter. Hunter handed Josh to me.  I said, "How do you like holding the babies?"
