Chicago Fire: Family Edition

Station

     I'm the only one here at the station right now. I saw something in my office and it was from someone. I walked into my office and saw who it was. It was my brother Will. I said, "What are you doing here?" Will said, "Well it's uncle Fred who is back in town." I said, "I remember what he put me through." Will said, "What?" I said, "He raped me when you went off to college and Jay was off in the army or something. I was staying with Jay's friend's parents and they let him in.  They left to go get the food and that is when he did it. I didn't tell anyone because I knew that people would say she is a white and she wanted it."
    Will said, "You could of called me." I said, "To tell you what Will. That I was just raped by our uncle. I only told Stella and she kept her mouth shut. I was answering phones at the firehouse because I wasn't old enough to be on the trucks yet. I haven't even told my husband yet." Will said, "Well Uncle Fred wants to see all of us together." I said, "No I'm not going near him ever again and he is never going near my kids ever. I am not have him do what he did to me to them." Will said, "I can't believe you told someone out of our family first." I said, "You and Jay were away, and we had no one that I trusted more than Stella. Get out of my office."
      Will left and I sat down in the corner of my office and rocked back and forth. Kelly came in the sleeping lounge area and saw me in my office shaken. Kelly came in and sat down by me to side hug me. I put my head on his shoulder and started to ball my eyes out. Kelly said, "Let it out." I said, "I was raped when I was only 9 years old. It was my uncle Fred who raped me and I didn't tell anyone not even Jay's best friend's parents who I was staying with at that time." Kelly said, "Who did you tell?" I said, "I told Stella when I first got onto the fire department, so 6 or 7 years ago. I finally told my brother Will. He didn't take it well."
     Kelly saw Stella come into the sleeping lounge. Kelly throw something to get her attention. Stella saw my boot out infront of my office. Stella came in with my boot and said, "What happened to her?" Kelly said, "Her uncle Fred is back in town." Stella sat down by me and Stella let Kelly leave, so Kelly put my head on Stella's shoulder. Everyone got to the station, but Matt because he is waiting on the nannies to get to the house. I texted Jay, "Did Will talk to you yet today?" Jay texted, "Yes why."
     I texted, "When did you us talk to each other." Jay texted, "Like an hour ago. He told me what happened to you from uncle Fred." I texted, "I am going to kill Will." Jay texted, "You should have told someone when it happened." I texted, "I went to the hospital later that night when it happened and I didn't shower or anything to wash away any evidence." Jay texted, "Talk to you later because Uncle Fred just walked in." 
     I texted, "Don't do anything stupid."   No answer back so I called Erin. Erin answered and I said, "Make sure Jay doesn't do anything stupid right now because he is talking to his and my uncle Fred who raped me when I was 9 years old. I texted my friend to have her sister take me to the hospital that night to get a rape kit done, but I never went through with the charges." Erin said, "I will handle the bastard myself because no one hurts my younger sister."
    I said, "Erin don't." Erin hung up before I said it. Erin said, "Fred why don't I show you to an interview room." Erin took him to an interview room. Erin went to Voight's office and said, "Antonio get in here please." Hank was already in his office and Antonio got into the office. Erin shut the door and said, "Harley was raped when she was only 9 years old and her rapist got through the gate to get up here. Harley's rapist is her own Uncle Fred."
     Hank said, "The Fred Halstead. I know him from back in the day. He did that to her." Antonio said, "I'm going to kill him. Where is he?" Erin said, "In interrogation room 1." Antonio and Hank runs to the interrogation room 1. Fred just looked at Hank, but Hank slapped him across the face. Fred said, "What was that for?" Hank said, "You know what you did to your niece." Fred said, "I don't know what you are talking about."
     Hank said, "Well she went to the hospital that night you raped her and got a rape kit done and we got the DNA match to you, so you are going down for rape." Erin called me, "Hey Harley, I need you to come down to the district to take a statement and you can bring Kelly if you want." I said, "I will be there in 15." I went to find Kelly and I found him. I said, "What are you doing Severide?" Kelly said, "I had a present for you. I just found it in my car yesterday and I didn't want to bother yesterday so I thought I would give it to you today."
     Kelly gave me the present and it was a custom made turquoise t-shirt with white lettering what said, "World's best mom,  friend, Firefighter, sister, daughter and wife." I started to cry and said, "Thanks for the shirt Kelly, but can you go down to the district with me to get my statement taken."
      Kelly said, "Of course. Just let me tell Chief we are going to be out for a while." Kelly told chief and came back.
      I said, "Who vehicle are we taking?" Kelly said, "Mine." I said, "Don't drive like my brother Jay." Kelly kissed me on the forehead and said, "It's going to be fine. They finally caught him." We got to the district and we went in. Trudy saw us come in and said, "Hey Harley, if you need anything let me know." I said, "Thanks Trudy. Can you buzz us up I'm here to see Erin?" Trudy buzzed us up. We got up there and Kim ran to me and tightly hugged me. I said, "Kim, I can't breathe." Kim let go, then Adam hugged me, then Kevin, then Jay, then Al and then Erin.
     I said, "I'm sorry that I didn't come forward then because he told me if I did that he would come back and kill Jay's best friends parents. I wasn't risking the only people who cared for me to die. It was them to live or me getting justice. I chose them because they treated me like their own damn kid. They bought me, my first ever car. So I chose them." Jay said, "But you are doing the right thing now because your case limit is about up in 5 years because there is only a 20 year limit on cases if they are related to any military, doctor, cop or firefighter."
      I said, "Lucky enough my oldest brother was in the military and now a detective, my 2nd older brother is a ER doctor, and I'm a firefighter, so I like I'm good." Erin took me into Hanks office and she let me sit in Hanks spot because she knew he wouldn't care. Erin said, "Can you tell me from the beginning of what happened of the day you were attacked?"
      I said, "Of the morning I was attacked I was getting ready for the day because we were going on a hike that day, but it rained instead so we decided to go buy a couple movies and movie stuff. Then we came home and watched all the movies. It was about 6 pm when my uncle Fred found where I was and he told Jay's best friend's parents that he was my uncle. They let him in. I was shocked that he found me. I knew I was going to get hurt. Then they went to go get the Chinese food from the restaurant what they ordered. Then shortly after they left, he attacked me, he said, "If you tell anyone I will come back and kill them." then left. I didn't tell them when they got home. I told them 'I am not hungry right now and that I am going to a friend's.' My friend sister came to pick me up and I said, 'Can we stop by a hospital because I was just raped by my uncle?' They said, 'Yes.' The took me to the hospital and I told the rape charge nurse who did the rape kit to put it has a Jane Doe because I didn't want any nurses or doctors or anyone to know it was me. The only people I told after it happened was my best friend and her sister. Then years later I told Stella. Then now Will, Will told Jay, I told you and Kelly."
     Kelly had his hands on my shoulders trying to relax me. Hank and Antonio came into Hanks office. I stand up and Antonio squeezed by Hank and Kelly to hug me. Antonio said, "I'm so sorry that this happened to you kid." I said, "I am doing the right thing to protect my kids from that monster. My kids grandfather is Wallace, Hank, and Matt's step dad." Antonio let go and Hank came to hug me. I said, "I am getting so many hugs today. I haven't even told my husband yet about the rape so who wants to help me tell him." Kelly said, "I will help you. We need to be heading back to the firehouse."    
    We headed out of Hanks office and I said, "I am having a get together this weekend and after the trial if there is one. I got to go. If any questions message me or call me." We got back to the firehouse and Boden saw us come in. I radioed, "Can everyone in the firehouse please come to the longue because I need to say something?" Everyone got to the longue, but Matt and he finally showed. I said, "When I was 9 years old, I was raped by my Uncle Fred on my dad's side and I had a rape kit done the night it happened and I just reported it since my case had a 20 year limit because of my family since we are firefighter, detective and an ER doctor."
    Matt said, "When were you going to tell me." I said, "I was scared that you weren't going to love me anymore, but Kelly help me realize that you love me no matter what." Matt ran up to me and picked me up and kissed me. Everyone was cheering. I said, "You guys need to grow up." I went to my office and saw a gift from my Uncle Fred. I went back out and got Tony, Herman, Capp, Kelly, Matt, Cruz, and Boden.
     I said, "Who put that in my office?" Cruz said, "Chloe from girls on fire who works in the pit." I said, "Just get it out of my office." They all went in and saw the outfit from when I was raped on my bed. Kelly grabbed it and ran it out to the dumpster. I'm up on the roof hitting baseballs into people's yards again. Kelly saw baseballs flying around into yards and he knew I was up on the roof again. Kelly climbed the ladder with a bottle of beer. Kelly said, "I have talked to the Chief and he said you can have the rest of the day off and you can spend it up here and drink this beer or you can spend it in the building and drink unlimited because Herman ran to the bar and brought back 2 6 packs of beer for you to drink."
    I put the bat down and grabbed the beer. Kelly gave the all clear for Matt and Chief to come up. I sat down and said, "I just hid it for so long that I thought it didn't happen, but when Will told me that he was back in town, I flipped shit." Kelly said, "I know. There are people here to see you downstairs." Matt said, "Guess who is waiting downstairs for you? They are getting restless to see you." 
     I chugged my beer and slid down the ladder and I saw the minivan. I ran in with a happy face. I said, "My babies look so adorable. Who gave us those clothes? I don't remember having those at home?" Matt's step dad said, "Matt told me that you are having a horrible day so I decided to buy them a new outfit to surprise you." I said, "It did work Dad." Matt's step dad name is Jake.
    Dad hugged me and I said, "Thank you." Dad said, "You know I would do anything for this grandbabies of mine and their beautiful Wonderful harding working women they have as a mother. I wanted to say thank you for giving me these grandbabies." I grabbed Parker and she is pumped up to see mommy because she sensed that I was having a bad day. I started to laugh because all of them were pumped up to see me. I said, "This has helped me get back into a better mood." Boden has Ava, Kelly has Josh and Stella has Ryan and I have my sweet Parker.
     Dad said, "How about everyone gets by each other, so I can get a photo of my son and daughter work family for my background of my phone." We got by each other and he took the photo. Our shift ends in 3 hours. I said, "Dad, I think it's time to bring the babies home." Dad said, "Okay." I said, "It's passed their bed time."
     I went into my office and cleaned it from top to bottom since that outfit was in it. Everyone from shift saw me going crazy in my office. I took my bedding to my bed to throw out the blanket and wash everything else. We only have less than 2 hours left of shift. I grabbed new sheets and Matt brought in my blanket from his office to mine. I am going to have flash backs of that day for a while, but I just need to lean on the people who love me.
    Chief came into my office and said, "Hey Harley, you can leave now because you had a rough day." I said, "Can Matt leave because I'm his ride?" Chief said, "Yes." I finished putting the bedding on and packed my laptop/charger, iphone charger, and camera. I headed to the locker room, but Matt already is at my locker getting my bag. I walked in and said, "You ready to deal with the flashbacks what I will have during the night." Matt said, "Yes because I will comfort you back to sleep."
    I kissed Matt and we headed out. We got into the Mustang, and we put our bags in the back seat. Matt is driving to a fast food restaurant because we haven't eaten yet. Matt ordered us subway. I fell asleep in the passenger seat. We finally got home and Matt woke me up. I grabbed all 3 bags and headed in through the garage. Dad's asleep on the couch so I put a blanket on him. We went into the kitchen to eat our sandwiches. I put the clothes in the laundry basket in our room. I got into the shower to wash off the memories what came back today. I finally got finished scrubbing myself. I got out and dried off and got dressed in a big shirt, underwear, and shorts.
      Matt came into bathroom to see what I was doing. I sat on the counter in the bathroom and Matt walked up to me and I put my arms around his neck and my legs around him. Matt kissed me deeply and carried me to the bed to have sex.
