Hunter is staying in the guest bedroom downstairs. Hunter is going to help out with the babies while he is staying with us. Hunter is in the boys nursery playing games with the boys. I heard the girls crying so I got up out of bed because the girls heard Hunter playing games with the boys and not them.
Matt didn't feel and woke up and saw I wasn't in bed, so he heard me on the baby monitor from the girls room because Matt had the girls baby monitor on his bed side table and I have the boys baby monitor on my bed side table. Sometimes I put the 2 play pins up in our room so the babies can share and be in the same room as us. Matt put up the play pins up on the far side of our room.
Matt put air into the air mattress in our closet for Hunter to sleep on tonight because we are having a family sleepover in our room tonight. Matt came to the boys room to see what Hunter is doing with the boys. I have the girls on the floor in the play room. The girls are playing with their toys. Matt and Hunter brought the boys downstairs to get breakfast in their stomachs. I grabbed the girls and went downstairs, so the girls can eat breakfast with her brothers.
Matt started breakfast for the babies. Matt got the eggs out and cracked 8 eggs to scramble to make scrambled eggs for the babies to eat. I grabbed the bread to make toast for the babies. I got the butter out for the toast. The eggs just got done for the babies and the toast just popped up. I buttered the toast and cut them into triangles for the babies. The babies started giggling because they saw that breakfast was done. I said, "Matt, can you get the sippy cups filled with milk please?" Matt got the sippy cups filled with milk. I got the babies food on the high chair trays and they started eating soon as I put the food on them. Hunter saw the babies eating their food.
I said, "They love their eggs and toast." Hunter took a photo of all of the babies to take in the memories of the babies. Matt came up behind me and hugged me. I said, "What is this for Matt?" Matt said, "Because I love you, you are amazing with the babies all the time, working while handling me and the babies, and handling a social life." I turned around and kissed Matt deeply. Matt smiled from ear to ear because he loves me so much. I looked at the babies and saw how happy they are because cousin Hunter is making silly faces at them.
I said, "They adore you, Hunter." Hunter said, "I know." Hunter picked up Ryan because he is done after he got wiped off by me. I put Ryan's high chair tray in the sink to wash. Matt saw that Josh just got done and wiped him off. I grabbed Josh's tray and put it in the sink. I saw Parker got done and cleaned her up after I took her tray off her highchair. Parker is pumped up to be in her favorite person's arms again. I am Parker's favorite, but sometimes she goes to her daddy for cuddles. I heard a knock on the door. I still have breast milk in the freezer just in case one of the babies gets really sick that is the only reason I breast pumped for since I had quadruplets.
Parker is babbling on and on. I am smiling at Parker because she loves her momma so much. Parker put her arms around my neck trying to hug me. I hugged Parker and Hunter took a photo of it because he thinks it adorable that Parker is trying to hug me. Hunter got several photos of Parker and I. I put Parker with her other siblings and I went outside to get fresh air. Hunter came out and said, "Are you okay?"
I said, "Yes. I just needed fresh air from the inside." Hunter hugged me from the side and brought me back in because all of my team arrived to help with the babies since it's my day to spend with Lee Henry. Lee Henry is so pumped to hang out with me today because I see it on his face. Lee Henry ran to me to hug me, but almost knocked me down, luckily Herman was behind me to catch me. Herman said, "Lee Henry be careful because she has 4 little ones." Lee Henry said, "I'm sorry aunt Harley."
I said, "Just be careful okay. I don't need to get hurt." Lee Henry and I got into my camero. Lee Henry said, "Can we go to meet the Chicago Cubs?" I said, "They do have a game today. One of the players owes me for a meet in greet." Lee Henry said, "Who owes you the favor?" I said, "Clint Frazier because I saved his life one day when I was running and his dog got away from him, so I ran after the dog and caught the dog." Lee Henry said, "That is my favorite player." I said, "Siri call Clint Frazier." Siri said, "Calling Clint Frazier."
Clint answered and said, "Hey Harley!" I said, "Since you are playing today and I wanted to bring someone by before the game to meet all the players."
Clint said, "Okay. How far are you?" I said, "I just actually parked by your truck now. Can you come meet us at the front entrance?" Clint said, "I will be right there." Clint grabbed on the field passes for Lee Henry and I. Clint saw us and let us in. Lee Henry started freaking out because he saw his hero. I said, "Breathe Lee Henry." Clint put his hand out to Lee Henry to shake. I moved Lee Henry's arm. Lee Henry shook his hand. Clint hugged me.
Clint said, "How are those quadruplets of yours?" I said, "Getting bigger by the day. Do you want to see a photo of them?" Clint said, "Yes." I unlocked my phone and showed him my wallpaper. I said, "That was yesterday when they were all over me. Matt captured a beautiful picture because it shows how crazy my life is." We walked in and my favorite MLB team is the St Louis Cardinals and Matt knows that. The Cardinals and Cubs have a game today. We got onto the field. Lee Henry face is shocked.
I said, "Snap out of it Lee Henry." Lee Henry snapped out of it. Clint said, "Do you want to go into the dug out Lee Henry?" Lee Henry said, "Yes." Nico Hoerner saw me and came up to me because we knew each other before I became a firefighter. Nico hugged me and said, "Nice to see you again Harley." I said, "You too Nico. How long has it been?" Nico said, "About 10 years." I said, "More like 3 because I was at a baseball game 3 years ago and I was up in the announcers box." Nico said, "Why were you in the announcers box last time?" I said, "I had to help out with the books." Nico said, "Who's kid is that? I know he ain't yours because you have quadruplets."
I said, "One of my firefighter friends kid. I am his god mother. Same with his 4 other siblings. Fun for me if both of his parents dies." The St Louis Cardinals team is staring at me because I'm talking to a player of the Cubs team. The rest of the Chicago Cubs team came and hugged me. I said, "You guys are lucky my husband is not here to see this because he will beat of butt for hugging on his lady so much." The head coach David Ross said, "Who is your husband?"
I said, "The one and only Matt Casey." David said, "Alderman Casey." I said, "He was alderman, but he gave it to his alderman assistant because he was focusing on being a Captain, a husband, and a father to quadruplets." David said, "How is your husband anyways Harley?" I said, "A pain like always." David said, "How?" I said, "He is a big baby and I have 4 other babies to take care of." David said, "I'm glad to see you out here today." I said, "I actually brought my mentors kid/god son out because he is a huge fan of the Cubs, so that is why I am here right now."
One of the St Louis Cardinals players came up to me. It is Yadier Molina, but his team are chatting among themselves about how I am a firefighter. They saw I had a Cardinal hat on as well. Molina said, "Hi. My team and I over heard that you are a firefighter and you are a mother to quadruplets. I know a Cardinal fan when I see one. The team and I packed souvenirs like jerseys with no number, and we all signed them and our numbers as well."
I said, "I will take 2 larges please." Molina yelled, "Harrison I need 2 large jerseys." Harrison grabbed 2 large jerseys and ran them to Molina. Molina handed them to me. I went into the dug out and changed shirts. I came out with my shirt what I had on and one jersey in my hand. Everyone starred at me because they think I look like a goddess. I said, "Can I hit a ball?" Molina said, "Sure. I will pitch." David handed me a bat and I swung a couple of times. I went up to the plate and tapped the bat. Molina threw the ball and the ball came towards me. I swung and I got a home run. Both teams looked at me and had a shocked look on their faces.
I said, "I used to play softball/baseball." Lee Henry recorded me hitting a home run and sent it to the group chat. My phone vibrated and I said, "Lee Henry! Did you seriously take a video of that." Lee Henry hid behind Nico, but Molina ran to me so I wouldn't do anything stupid. Molina picked me up over his shoulder and Lee Henry took a photo of it. Nico took Lee Henry's phone and deleted the photo. Nico didn't give Lee Henry back his phone. Molina put me down. Herman got let in and said, "Lee Henry!"
Lee Henry is scared because Herman is pissed at him of what he did. Herman got to Lee Henry and slapped the back of his head. Herman said, "You never film a lady unless she says it's ok." I grabbed my shirts and left the stadium. I got into my mustang and drove to the beach. I got to the beach and luckily I had sun screen in the trunk. I parked and started walking on the beach. Jay and Will found me. Jay said, "What the hell are you doing here at the beach instead of being home?" I said, "Didn't you get the video in the group chat."
Will said, "I did. Who took the video? Why were you at Wrigley field anyways?" I said, "I was hanging out with my god son." Jay and Will looked at each other. I said, "Herman's oldest. All of Herman's kids are my god sons and daughters." Jay said, "When were you going to tell us this?" I said, "When Herman and Cindy died."
Will hugged me, so did Jay. Erin is with us and took a photos of me and my knucklehead brothers on my phone. I love my idiot brothers, but I am the badass one out of all of us because I run into burning building for a living. For one photo, my brothers kissed my cheeks. I have my lieutenants jacket on because it is kind of windy. The guys went back to the truck so Erin and I could talk.
Erin said, "How are you?" I said, "I'm okay." Erin said, "I know it's stressful handling 4 babies and a grown adult child. Matt acts like a baby when he is sick and I don't know why." Erin hugged me and I didn't let go. I said, "I just want a weekend by myself to do whatever I want with my sister in laws." Erin said, "We do need a weekend together with Natalie. Then Will, Jay, and Matt can watch all 5 kids."
I said, "Yes we do." Erin and I headed back to the sidewalk. We got back to the vehicles and left to go back to my house. I kind of sped back to the house with my fire lights on, but Jay and Erin didn't care. I got home and my babies were squealing for me. They were in the living room and I sat down.
They came crawling to me. I hugged all of my babies and Matt sat by me. The quadruplets are 2 sets of identical twins. The boys have brown hair. The girls have blonde hair like Matt and I. The boys have green eyes like Matt. The girls have blue eyes like me. Hunter said, "Harley, I'm glad that I came to visit because I missed hanging out with you and your brothers."
I said, "I can't believe that everyone at my firehouse thought it was you that beat Matt's and Kelly's times, but it was actually me since I am super skinny and fast at rescuing people. They didn't think I could lift more than my body weight, but I proved them wrong by dragging Capp and Tony at the same time when I was 2 months along with full gear on and face mask on as well. Then I dragged Wallace my first official shift on at firehouse 51."
Matt said, "You still bragging at beating Kelly's and my time." I said, "Do you want a rematch at the fire academy today with Kelly?" Matt said, "Yes. Whoever wins doesn't have to watch the quadruplets for 3 days and 2 nights." I said, "Deal. I will call everyone from our shift to go to the fire academy now. Then pack the diaper bag with lots of diapers and a pack of wipes."
I called everyone from Matt's and my shift to meet us at the fire academy for Matt's, Kelly's, and my race. I got the diaper bag ready. I got the quadruplets dressed and in the mini van. I got my drinks packed in the cooler and put that in the trunk. I had Wallace grab my fire gear from the firehouse along with my tank. Kelly grabbed his and Matt's stuff from the fire house. Hunter is already in the van in the back seat with the quadruplets. Matt will meet us there because he has to do a work thing for his construction company.
Hunter said, "I can not believe that you are doing this Harley." I said, "I want to prove myself to them that I was the one who beat their times when we were at the fire academy." Hunter said, "Still, I don't want to lose you." I said, "You won't because I have these little ones to come home to."
We got to the fire academy and Matt's and my dad met us there as well to help watch the babies. I got suited up in my gear first because they were slow. My babies saw how fast I put on my firefighter gear and they got scared because they didn't know what has happening. I said, "It is okay babies." I went into the smoke room. The guys are still getting their gear on. I made it through the whole thing before they got in there. I came down the stairs and told them, "I told you so."
Everyone had a shocked look on their faces. I took off my face gear and my helmet, so I can see my babies better. My babies are so happy to see me. I took off my gloves and put my hands on each one of my babies faces and kissing each of their cheeks. Matt came up to me and dipped me with my leg by his leg to deeply kiss me while we were both in our gear, and dad, Wallace, Kelly, and Hunter got a photo of it before Matt stopped.
I said, "You have to realize my brother is ex military and a cop. The other one is a ER doctor. I know have to get in and out of tight places easily even though I have on all this equipment. I have training as an Paramedic in charge and a well trained lieutenant firefighter. I do have bad childhood, but I don't let that show because I don't want to relive that over again and let my children see me suffering from PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addiction to pills because once I go down that rabbit to get addicted to pills is when I hit rock bottom."
Hunter helped me out of my gear. I'm still in my firefighter pants and boots, and dad put on my first dance song with Matt on our wedding night. I started to cry, but Matt grabbed my hand and I put my other hand on his shoulder. We started to dance to our first dance as a married couple song. I wrote Matt a song and recorded it for his first Father's and Matt doesn't know. Matt's and my first dance song as a married couple is She Somebody's Daughter by Drew Baldridge. Matt spun me around. I kissed Matt once I turned back to him. Kelly is out of his fire gear because he wanted to hold one of the babies. The babies see how happy these people make me. Everyone else from our shift arrived at the academy. I said, "Who called the rest of the shift?" Wallace said, "I did princess."
I ran to Wallace and hugged him because he knows it has been tough for me for these past couple of weeks. Matt came up behind me and hugged me while we are still in are bottom gear. I kissed Matt's check and he smiled from ear to ear. I still have my firefighter pants on along with the boots. Herman said, "Why do you guys have your gear on?" I said, "Think about that for 5 minutes Herman then get back with me."
Herman said, "You guys were doing the race thing." I said, "There you go." Matt came up behind me and hugged me. Stella got a photo of us. I grinded my ass on Matt and he is getting hard. Matt kissed my cheek. Everyone from my brothers shifts showed up to the fire academy. I said, "How did you find us?" Jay said, "Your life360." I said, "I forgot we all had it linked together because of me getting hurt all the time. I wasn't hurt, so why did you come here to the academy."
Jay said, "You caught us. We have a surprise to give to you, Matt, and the babies." I said, "Jay, you are making me have a panic attack because you know I hate surprises since the day he did that to me." Jay said, "Uncle Fred is dead. He got shived by an inmate because they found out what he did to you. A guard told an inmate who hates pedophiles who rapes in their own family."
My heart got relief from the news. I fell to my knees crying happy tears that monster is dead. Then I started laughing. Everyone said, "Why are you crying and laughing?" I said, "Karma is a bitch. Karma hit Fred hard." Jay's best friends parents showed up and ran to me. Jay and I looked confused at each other. I said, "How did they know where we were? I know they aren't on the life360. Jay did you tell them." Jay said, "No." Erin said, "I did."
I said, "You told them what happened to me when I was in their care didn't you. I'm going to kill you because it did not happen to you. You do not have to live with PTSD from that day. You did not try to commit suicide. Well I have tried several times because of the horrible pain I have to live through when someone touches me the wrong way. Luckily my husband knows where not to touch when we are doing it because it would throw me in a panic state where I do not want to come out of. You don't have to live with the shame and guilt from hiding it from your own two brothers and the people who took me in. You do not understand the way people look at me when I tell them what happened to me at age 10."
Matt, Wallace, Will, and Hank had to hold me back from killing Erin for what she did. I am like a bulldozer when someone tells my deepest darkest secrets. Everyone saw short fused I was about that because it is not theirs to tell about. I walked away and took the babies with me in the stoller and had their big diaper bag in on of the seats. I took them on a 5 mile walk away from the academy to my favorite place in Chicago and that is the Navy Pier because of all the scenery.
I forgot I still had on the bottom part of my gear. People are staring at me because of it. I turned off my life360 before I even made it the first few blocks. Only Matt knows my favorite place is to calm down is, but he won't tell anyone because that means breaking the trust in each other. Kim is at the Pier with Makayla. Kim saw me and came up to me with Makayla.
Kim said, "Aren't you supposed to be at the fire academy?" I said, "I was, but Erin happened." Kim said, "She told your secret didn't she to Jay's friends parents who raised you." I said, "How did you get that right?" Kim said, "Adam because he texted to be on the look out for you and the quadruplets." I said, "Matt knows where the babies and I are." Kim said, "Okay." Matt showed up with Wallace, Hank, and dad. The reason Wallace and Hank showed up is because they are like my biological father since they both known me since a young age.
Matt knows my favorite spot on Navy Pier because that's when we first I love you to each together that spot will always be my favorite in Navy Pier. They got to Kim, Makayla, the babies and I. I said, "You guys were followed. Turn around. Thanks guys. I wanted alone time to think." I took the babies inside and snuck out the other side and no one saw me leaving out the other side, but my husband because I hurried up and bought a shirt to put over my shirt, plus I took my hair down.
I walked all the way back to the fire house to put my bottom part of my gear back in my spot. I grabbed my spare shoes out of my locker to put on. I came out of the locker room and saw my aunt who was married to my uncle Fred touching my babies. I raised my voice, "Bitch get your nasty hands off my children now before I beat the crap out of you. You should never shown your face in my place of work." Matt and the crew walked in and heard me yelling at the lady. I grabbed a knife from the counter and said, "Get out now! Before we both do something we will regret." She left and Matt came to get the knife from my hand because he knows who that was.
I broke down crying and fell to my knees and I sat down rocking back and forth. Matt brought me the babies closer to me so they can help me, but they didn't. Will and Jay ran in and said, "Why the hell was our uncle Fred wife here?" I said, "She must have followed me from Navy Pier." I am still rocking back and forth. Jay and Will just found me and Jay said, "How long has she been like this?" Matt said, "3 minutes before you guys came into the building, so about 10."
Jay ran to his truck and grabbed one of my childhood stuffed animals what he got me. Jay got back with it and tossed it to Matt. Jay said, "Give it to her. It calms her down." Matt handed me the stuff bear what has a voice thing in it with mom's voice. I hugged it and it said, "Hi sweetie. I know you are probably all grown now with a husband and kids. I am so sorry that I'm not there with you, but I'm watching over you and your brothers. I will always bee in your heart. I know life can be hard at times, but I know that your brothers will take care of you for me. If you ever need any thing, I'm always listening. I love you my little angel."
Jay got on the floor with me and hugged me. Everyone else got on the floor to put the babies in the middle to get me feeling myself again. Third shift came back from a call and decided that second shift could have the longue. We all just sat here for hours. I fell asleep and same with the babies. Matt woke me and said, "How about you and the babies go home and get some sleep? Dad will take you and the babies home." Matt kissed my forehead and helped me up. We got up and got the babies in the stroller. Matt walked us out the the van and helped me get the babies into the van.
We got all the babies loaded in van and I got in the passenger seat and dad is driving and Hunter is riding with Matt. Dad got the babies and I home and dad help unload the babies. I got the the girls out. Dad got the boys out and I pressed my thumb on the door handle and it unlocked. Dad said, "When did you get that installed?" I said, "When I had the day off because of the panic attack what I had a work." Dad took the babies up to their rooms while I passed out in the guest bedroom with my shoes on still. Dad found me passed out in the guest bedroom and came in to take my shoes off, and said, "Sweet dreams my sweet angel."
I'm like Jake's (dad) daughter that's why he calls me his angel. Matt got home with Hunter and Matt said, "Where's Harley?" Matt heard my snore and said, "Nevermind." I developed the snore from carrying quadruplets and when I have a rough day my snoring is that bad. On my good days I do not snore for some reason. Matt came in the guest bedroom to kiss me on the forehead. I slept through dinner. Matt just put my food into my container to have for tomorrow.
Matt came into the guest room and laid down on the bed after he took his shoes off. Dad is sleeping in our bedroom tonight. Matt fell asleep when he got into bed. I kicked Matt in the leg several times, but I don't know why I did. Kelly walked into our house since he is our new neighbor to see if he can help with anything, but dad saw Kelly on the cameras. Dad came down and said, "You did not have to come over because I got them down." Kelly said, "Where is the old married couple?" Dad said, "Follow me and I will show you."
Dad walked Kelly to the guest bedroom and Kelly said, "Why are they down here and not up in their room?" Dad said, "Harley passed out down here and Matt did not want me to go without a bed so that's why he stayed down here with her, so I can have their bed because I will be taking care of the babies tomorrow morning since Matt wants to do something nice for Harley for breakfast."
Kelly left to go back home and it's only 9 pm. I woke up and saw that we were in the guest bedroom. I went to the kitchen and grabbed my cran-grape juice and just drank out of the bottle since no one else drinks it that I know of. I grabbed out of the fridge was 2 day old pizza what we got and ate it cold so I would not wake up anyone. I went outside to the pool and put my feet in. Dad saw me because he couldn't sleep either. Dad came out and said, "I thought you were asleep." I said, "I couldn't really stay asleep because I couldn't stop thinking." Dad helped me up to get back inside before I get sick.
Dad got me to the couch. I crashed when I hit the couch. Dad covered me up, so I won't cold. It's 6:30 in the morning, Matt, the babies, and dad are awake, but me. I hear babies in the kitchen crying. I woke up and went into the kitchen. I said, "What time is it?" Matt said, "6:30." I said, "Why are they crying this early?" Matt said, "They are hungry." I said, "Feed them cereal."
Matt said, "What kind?" I said, "Cheerios." Matt can tell I am getting really pissed because they didn't feed the babies until I came out here to tell them what to feed them. I grabbed my cold ice coffee from the fridge what I made in a big pitcher with creamer. Matt got the cereal on the high chair trays and the babies stopped crying. I said, "See Matt. That was their hungry cry."
