Two days have passed since Sin had claimed Inari as his Familiar and considering that he would soon be having to return to battle class and he wouldn't have enough time to study his chosen path as much as he wanted; Sin felt that he had to use the remainder of his time going on the hunt for his next steps within the Summoning discipline.

To find the answers that he was searching for, Sin found himself heading in the direction of the library that was home to thousands of books that anyone had permission to read if they were members of the Academy.

Sin has also come to learn that Kanerra's library was also home to hundreds of magical relics that Archivists like Sierra Ranam spent their time procuring for students and faculty of Kanerra to study.

Pushing his way through the large doors that adorned the library, Sin found that he wasn't the only one within the Academy walls that have decided to spend their time studying within the rows of books. Considering that many of those that he sighted were unknown to him; Sin assumed that they were older students that he had yet to become acquainted with. Sin made his way towards the shelves of books that were dedicated to Black Magic in hopes that he could find a book on Summoning that would shed light upon where he should take his next step in his discipline; while he was doing this, Sin spotted Nohki sitting at one of the tables within the library studying.

Once spotting the older human that was studying under the same Mage as he was; Sin quickly found himself stopping his movements. For a moment, Sin wished to go forward and say hello to the dark-skinned male though from the way that Nohki looked infatuated with the words that were written upon the pages of the tome he was reading; Sin decided against this.

Shaking Nohki from his thoughts, Sin found himself walking towards his original destination once more. Once he arrived, he immediately threw his gaze across the shelves as he searched for the knowledge he sought. From doing this, Sin eventually spotted two books that caught his interest.

The first book that Sin plucked from the shelves was the one he had originally learned about when he was trying to find answers on which path that he should take; this tome was titled Into the Faelands. Next was a book that Sin could see was titled A Summoner's Guide to Transference.

Considering that this was the first time that Sin had heard about Transference, he immediately brought the tome away from the shelves.

Now that Sin held both tomes within his hands, he found himself wishing to jump right into the knowledge that was written within them and as such; he found himself making his way towards one of the empty tables that were within the library. Once Sin was seated at the table, he had trouble figuring out which book that he should look inside of first though he eventually settled upon the book that was designed to shed light into the mysterious realm known as the Faelands.

Cracking open the tome, Sin immediately started to read the words that were written upon the pages. While much of the first parts of the book was just background information upon the Faelands, none of it seemed like it was really anything that Sin needed to focus on. Eventually as Sin was reading, he found a section of the book that contained information that he thought was important and with this thought; Sin focused upon the words that were written upon the page.

Over a thousand years ago, the people of Everia and the Fae of the Faelands weren't forced apart by the boundary that is set up today. During the time when the boundary wasn't put in place; the world was ravaged by the powerful creatures that were known as Fae which made life in those times extremely unbearable and frightening for the citizens of the world considering that they never knew when one of the creatures would appear and end their existence.

Wishing to put a stop to the terror that plagued their existence, great Mages from every race within Everia gathered to find a way to keep the Fae from entering are world unless they were called upon.

After months of discussion and experiments, these Mages settled upon the plan to keep the Fae placed behind a barrier that was set up between the two realms. Though over time we have discovered that Fae who are extremely powerful were still able to force their way past the barrier; these occurrences are rare at the most and isn't something that causes too much worry for those of Everia.

As Sin concluded with the words that were written in the section that he found to be the more important ones within the book; his mind started to formulate scenarios of what the world would be like if the barrier between the two realms weren't keeping them separated. "If we were still under the threat of the Fae on an everyday basis, would the races of this world be more inclined to the presence of the other?" Sin contemplated as he flipped the page within the tome and though he was inching upon another section he could read, his mind decided to ask one more question. "Would those born of two races finally have a place within this world?"

Not wanting to get lost within the hope that the question caused to burn within him, Sin moved his mind back to the words upon the pages of the tome and once again he found himself reading a section that he didn't have any need to focus on.

As time continued to pass by him, Sin found himself in the section of the book that was invented to document the information that the Mage who wrote this tome had on the individual species of Fae and though Sin wished to devour every bit of the information that was contained within this section; he decided that he should focus on the section that spoke out the Fae that he had claimed as his Familiar.

The Kitsune is a creature that over time will grow more tails depending on the age and power that the creature has developed. From our studies into this Fae, we have come to understand that every five years if the Kitsune has met certain markers of control over its abilities that they will sprout another tail which symbolizes that power that the creature has contained within its vulpine body.

This Fae is known as an Elemental Fae due to its abilities to wield the elements of the world like the Elemental Mages that we train within our Academies. A sure-fire way to determine the element that the Fae wields is to examine the color of its eyes. These colors range from red, brown, white, yellow, and blue.

Each color represents a different element. Red indicates that the Fae can wield the element known as fire, brown indicates that they are an earth Kitsune, white allows us to know that they wield the element of ice, yellow indicates that they have control over the element of air as well as lightning while blue indicates that they are water Kitsune.

While we have done plenty of research to help determine how they develop the ability to control which element; we have yet to come to a complete understanding of this though many believe that it has to do with the weather or location of where the Kitsune was born.

Besides the coloring of their eyes, the fur coloring of the Fae can vary greatly though it doesn't seem to determine any placement of the element that they control since I have seen crimson colored Kitsune that have control over water and ice as well as darker colored Kitsune that control the earth as well as fire. This aspect of their beings seems to be genetic and based of the coloring that their parents pass down to them.

As Sin came to the end of the words that were written in the section that detailed the Kitsune; he was astounded to learn that this Fae had so many differently possibilities and though he was intrigued by the possibility of finding other Kitsune that varied from his own, he was still quite thankful that he had found Inari during his first and only trip so far into the Faelands.
