AND THUS IT BEGAN

CHAPTER 14

Narrator :

      Quite some time later Marco and Sophie had done a whole lot of bonding and catching up, the father and daughter had talked about basically everything conversable yet it wasn't enough hence the reason he decided that since he had a meeting that afternoon he might as well take Sophie along and probably spend the day out.

  "Uncle Luca, do you also work with daddy?"
Sophie asked Luca who was helping her fix her hair although it was terrible. Marco had no idea how Luca did it with Luciana.

  "Yes princess, I do and guess who will be waiting at the company today"
Marco heard him ask.

   "I don't like guesses uncle Luca, mommy says it's pointless"
Okay, at least his favorite women agreed with  him on that one, Marco just never understood the point of guessing if you were still going to say it anyways.

   "hey everyone"
Adriana greeted before ascending the last flight of stairs.

   "Hey, HI Mama"
Were the general responds.

  "What are you doing to my daughter's hair Luca?"
She asked though her voice was laced with amusement.

  Luca groaned before loosing Sophie's braids and running his hand through it to help straighten it.
Arabella smiled then looked over at Marco who hadn't stopped staring at her, if only she could ignore her brain and just listen to her heart, she would have walk over to him and sat on his strong laps, but she wouldn't, a part of her was still hurting and she had no plans of just letting it go.

"Mama, uncle Luca and papa have agreed to take me to their work, can I go?"
Sophie asked with hopeful eyes.

   "Actually why don't you come with us too Adriana, I'm sure you wouldn't want to stay back here alone"
Luca offered.

Adriana was about to turn down that offer cause there were a million reasons why she shouldn't and besides she still had a diner to run but then again if they were going to be a part of each other's lives it seemed perfectly reasonable that she goes along.

   "Alright, but I'll need to stop by the house to change my clothes"
She replied, she wasn't going to ask how they changed Sophie's clothes.

   "It's settled then, Let's go"
Marco who couldn't hide his excitement basically squealed.

It's not that he had anything special going on at his office Building, it's just that taking His daughter and hopefully his woman to his work place just felt different and he was beyond proud.
Who wouldn't be proud to have a daughter so beautiful, smart, mature, kind and amazing, then Catherina or Adriana as she now goes by on the hand was by far the most beautiful woman on earth, she mesmerized him and the mere sight of her since the beginning always cause a flutter in his stomach, an excitement he could never hide no matter how much he tried to.

Some hours later they had arrived at Marco's office Building, it was a beautiful all glass sky scrapper, tiled light black In places that couldn't be covered with glasses with sophisticated looking people loitering the premises.

Right now Adriana thanked her stars for listening to her inner bitch who kept asking her to dress professional, classy and sexy at the same time, a look like that was hard to imagine till she found a black leather jumpsuit she had painstakingly purchased a few months back, it was so expensive She wondered what possessed her to buy it, then she topped the look with a sleeveless jacket and a Christian loubotine stiletto heel and her Chanel bag.

Rarely did she ever dress this good but somehow her instinct kicked in last minute and advised her to dress to impress today, so now that she was here she couldn't be more happier for her choice, at  least with the way the men were gawking and the women glaring enviously at her, she knew she was looking just the way she imagined.

Soon enough they reached The last floor and walked in, and without further notice  Luca took his niece and disappeared to go find his daughter so he could introduce her to her new cousin.

Back in the office Adriana looked impressively at the modern yet homely space Marco worked in, it didn't have all that stupid excess fancy her father's office had, this was just classy but homey, modern yet Comfy.

All in all it was beautiful.

  "Do you like it?"
Marco asked, disrupting her line of thoughts, he was worried that he didn't do enough, maybe the office wasn't good enough for her tastes?  Was it too fancy or too boring? Was it too spacious? Did he over do it or under do it?
Wait what if she thou-

"It's perfect Marco, if I consider having an office I hope you will be available to help me with interior decorations cause I love what you did here"
She replied, skimming her arms through the mini book shelve in the corner.

   She heard him exhale loudly before he spoke again
"Thanks Catherina, I guess I decided on this design because you always talked abo-"

   "Hey Marco, I didn't hear you come in"
An overly chirpy voice interrupted him.

   "Nessa this is my office, never make the mistake of barging in here like that"
Marco warned before looking at Adriana who hadn't spoken yet.

   "Nessa meet Adriana, the mother of my child and girlfriend, babe meet Nessa my personal assistant"
Marco introduced both women.

  "Nice to meet you Nessa"
Adriana tried to act civil although one hand was itching closer to the gun in her bag, bitches like this only learnt when they had a bullet in the knee cap.

  "Marco you can't  bring just anyone  into the office, this is our space remember?"
She whined like a child.

It's a good thing they weren't together cause Adriana imagined shit like this happening and worst of all in her presence.

  "Get. Out"
Marco seethed, he had never had any form of intimate relationship with her so he had no idea where this was coming from.

   "But Marco-"

"It's Mr Romano to you, and if you ever make the mistake of touching him again I promise you that your hands will no longer be yours again"
Adriana warned before pulling Marco closer to her and kissing his cheek.

  "Get out and preferably get me a cup of coffee, two sugar and three spoons of milk, get to it"
Adriana ordered the Assistant who could pass out from anger but still got to work anyways.

She now turned to Marco who had a really strained look, Adriana knew that Marco had nothing with the assistant chick but she wasn't about to make life easier for him.
