AND THUS IT BEGAN

CHAPTER 16

ADRIANA :

    It's been over a month now since I agreed to take Marco back into my life and I know I would be lying if I said it hasn't been the happiest moments of my life.

I officially opened a new branch of the business somewhere in the city, I guess it was one of the pecks of having a famous man by your side, I couldn't particularly say I was at the top yet compared to the top restaurants in the city but I had faith that I was headed there.

Today we had agreed to spend the day together, a little private  rendezvous as he called it, I was looking excitedly forward to it so that brought about me currently sitting in my room and sorting through the endless rolls of clothes Marco had bought even way before I accepted to take him back.

There were so many options and I couldn't find anything so I called my babies so I could get their opinions, I had noticed that Sophie had eyes for elegant clothes, while Luciana had eyes for sexy things so with their ideas combined I was dressed in an off the shoulder knee length black dress, honestly I didn't know where the idea came from but it seemed to be working.

I'd been so excited that I practically skipped down the step till I was stopped in my tracks by the sound of multiple gun shots followed by chaos in the vicinity.

   "What's going on"
I screamed at no one in particular.

Realizing that I wasn't going to get any response I turned right back and ran back to the kids room, thankfully they were smart enough to hide under the bed.

   "Come on kids"
I screamed before holding them tight in their wrists and rushing to my room to pick up my favorite toy and changed into comfy clothes.

   "Mummy whats going on"
Luciana's scared voice rang through my ears.

I stooped low enough to look them in the eyes. "I don't know what's going on, but I Promise You That today is not the day I loose either of you, now we are going to walk nice and slow to the safe room and you are going to be good girls while you are there, Si' ?"
I asked to which they nodded frantically.

In the moment I couldn't be any more happier for all the training I gave Sophie, of course she was terrified but she was doing a good job by comforting Luciana as much as she could.

Slowly I opened the door and peeped through the hallway and thankfully there was no one in sight, I prayed that Marco and Luca were alright cause I couldn't bear to loose anyone.

I stopped and placed Luciana hands on the waistband of the sweatpants I changed into while Sophie in turn held tightly to Luciana's Waistband then we began to walk in a slow straight line.

I would be a terrible liar if I said I wasn't scared shitless but above that I was scared that I was bound to shoot someone in the presence of Luciana, I didn't want to scar her but it was the only way to stay alive right now.

Slowly we had walked through to the safe but not before I gunned down three men, it was easy cause they seemed to have missed their way in the Maze looking house hence they were more confused but then again that had resulted in more men coming towards us and as a result we ended up running To the safe room.

Once inside I pulled out the glock I had from my back and handed it to Sophie and honest to God I hoped she didn't have to use it.

   "I know this is not what I had in mind when I promised you rainbows and unicorn so I'm sorry baby-"
I apologized as quickly as possible cause I needed to go find my man and brother.

  "And I also know that we always talked about us against the world, but right now it's no longer just the both of us baby, it's now a larg-" "

  "What are you doing giving a child a gun"
Someone basically screeched causing both Sophie and I to turn in the direction with our gun in the air ready blow some fuckers head off.

Guess who it was?

The poor excuse for a human being Marco had for a personal assistant, I wish I remembered the name again.
Sweet Lord I wasn't about to ask what she was doing here cause Marco swore his legal business stayed at the company, I smelled trouble whenever that woman was around but today wasn't the day.

  "Mama Il suo seno è troppo grande, è malata?"
Sophie whispered, or she thought she did cause the hoes face was red from anger and embarrassment so my best bet was that she heard her.
 
    (Mama Her breast are too big, Is she sick?)
Well you heard it here first, Sophie honestly has a mouth on her.

   "Sophie, anyone walks through those doors that isn't me or your papa or uncle you know what to do"
She nodded firmly, I was weeping in my heart cause God knows I never wanted her to live this life but I would be damn if I let her grow like a princess when she was living in the midst of hell.

  "You can't just do this, she shouldn't even know what a gun is"
The  PA screeched again.

   "My daughter is stronger than you can ever imagine to be and do not be mistaken cause I will put a bullet through you and you will be counted as one of the casualties"

With those words I kissed my babies head, nodded at the household staff and rushed out of the room with my AK47 firmly in my hands.

I didn't know where Marco was but I was going to search through hell to find him, five years was enough absence for me and I sure as hell have no interest in anymore distance between us.
