I popped my head out of the curtain. Amazed, by the huge number of people at the Ninjago Talent Night. My first moment of leading my Royal Blacksmiths to the Blade Cup.
When we were called out, we stepped on stage, being cheered by the whole crowd, my father and my brother Mark. In the past, there were many generations of the Royal Blacksmiths and this was my first time dancing for competition and glory. The public were expecting a lot from us.
We performed better than I was hoping for. But the best part was our victory - winning the Blade Cup. I grasped it around me, and for the first time ever, my brother was proud of me, even though he never got the chance of winning the cup himself. Women threw flowers, men took pictures, my father simply clapped and Mark went on stage and shook my hand. There was someone though that caught my eye. A young girl surrounded by nobody, her black silky hair tied up in a ponytail, holding a handkerchief in her hands.

I looked at everyone at the afterparty. Couples holding hands and dancing together. And I, just have won the Blade Cup was still without a partner.
"Try gelling your hair - you'll look more attractive. I also do it for good luck."
I jumped to see my brother Mark standing next to me, with a glass of water in his hands.
Bored being alone, I quickly dipped my fingers into Mark's glass and spread the drops of water, smoothing out my hair, trying to grab any girl's attention. There she was - the same girl I saw at the Ninjago Talent Night. I stepped up to her.
"Care for a dance?" I asked.
She took my hand and we danced, flirted. We didn't care about who was staring, who was pointing, who whispered behind our backs. I didn't care what she was wearing. She was beautiful in my eyes. She may seemed shy but she had pure talent on the dance floor. I didn't care if she wasn't as rich like my family. I wasn't alone, that's what mattered. I was with the girl of my dreams and till this day, I always gel my hair for good luck.
