"Aw, thanks - "

Ray stopped talking.  A woman screamed.  And then the boom.  We both froze on that park bench in Ninjago.  We knew what we had to do.  But we were both speechless.  We stayed put.  Why?  Why couldn't we get up?  Why did we stay there?

Were we afraid?

Another boom.  And another.

"Let's get goin'," I choked, trying to get us back into our senses.

Ray nodded slightly.  We transformed into our ninja gi and ran to Ninjago City - the city with all the major crimes.  Everyone was still living their normal lives - no panicking, no screaming, did they even hear the noises?  At least the foggy alley gave us a little clue.

There was no time to call the rest.  We raced to the alley and turned across.  Ray started coughing with all the smoke.  I barely saw two black figures in the distance.

"Not.... so... fast!" shouted Ray.  I patted his back.

We were looking at two people in black hoods.  They had nothing in their hands.  Both of their eyes seemed familiar.  However, they both had a symbol printed on their clothes.  A circle with two lines.

"Really, is that all you've got... Ray?" said one of them.

The voice was familiar too.  The fog vanished and the symbol was now much easier and clear.  The two lines were hands and the circle became a clock.  The two people were twins.  The hands of time have been found again.

"Where have you two been?" I asked the pair.

We couldn't see their faces but we weren't fools to realize that they were smirking.

"You never gave us much credit, George," said the other.  His voice was deep and rusty, "and neither you Ray or anyone.  We've got a lesson to teach you - "

"Will you mind telling Wu and Garmadon too?" snapped the first.

"Oh yeah, sure.  Let's imagine this moment never happened.  Ready?"

"Ready."

The twins held their hands together and created this giant energy ball, with radiant colours of red, green, blue and yellow.

"Control time.... control everything!" they said in unison as they blasted the ball into the air.

My mind was spinning.  I felt myself travelling into time, seeing all these bright funky colours, a never ending tune ringing in my ears.  What was happening?  Where was Ray?  Where was I?

And then the bright light... it seemed like a whirlpool... the drop...

I remember myself closing and opening my eyes in a few seconds.  I was on a park bench in Ninjago.  I heard a cough - Ray must have been beside me.

"Ray?"

"George!"

We hugged each other hard, as if we haven't seen ourselves in 5 years.

"Do you remember... or was it just a dream?" I asked.

"The time twins may have changed time, but they cannot change memories.  Though it's great to have you back, buddy."
