'You know, I thought you harassed me into coming here with you so we could talk, not so you could continually stare at me.'

Calum blinked and quickly looked down at the ceramic mug clutched in his hands.

'Sorry,' he mumbled.

She scoffed and leaned back in her chair, tucking up both of her legs underneath her.

'You said you thought you knew me? How does that work?' she asked, picking up her coffee, a caramel latte, and taking a dainty sip.

Calum finally looked up at her.

'You're not going to believe me.'

'Obviously you think otherwise, why else would you bring me here if you didn't think I would believe you?'

He blinked at her because hey she actually has a point.

When Calum didn't instantly reply, she leaned foward and narrowed her eyes.

'Try me,' she said simply.

Calum shook his head.

'You're gonna freak out-'

'For gods sake whatever it is I promise I won't freak out!' she hissed.

'Fine then,' Calum took a deep breath before continuing.

'I've been dreaming about you my entire life.'

She blinked dumbly at him, apparently at a loss for words.

'That's impossible, we only met an hour ago.'

'Told you that you wouldn't believe me.'

'Yes, because I thought you were going to say something rational like you've been stalking me or that you're secretly an Edward Cullen that has been also stalking me-'

'Please don't compare me to a sparkly vampire, I like to think I'm more of the rugged, werewolf type.'

She giggled and Calum thought he would melt into his seat in a pile of ohmygodthatwassuchabeautifulsound.

She looked up at him and smiled, and it felt so familiar yet so different it literally made Calum's chest hurt.

'Can I at least know the name of the 'rugged werewolf' that's been tormenting me all afternoon?'

Calum completely blanched, for a moment thrown back to his final dream of this girl.

'Can I at least know the name of the girl that's been tormenting me my entire life?'

She giggled and shook her head.

'No, no I don't think you can. I've got a reputation to keep.'

Calum shook his head as he was thrown back into reality, he must have zoned out for a moment judging by the weird look the girl across from him was sending his way.

'It's uh, it's Calum,' he replied, blinking away the weird haziness that had appeared in front of his eyes.

'I'm Abby,' she said simply, looking down at her coffee before taking another sip.

And yes, Calum knew it had to be the right girl, the initials on the bubble pipe had been A.A.S.

'So you're not...... You're not freaked out?' Calum asked cautiously.

'Oh, I'm mildly freaked out,' Abby scoffed in reply.

Calum slunk down in his chair.

This is going horribly

'But highly intrigued also. If you've even 'dreaming about me' then surely you must know stuff about me.'

Abby grinned at Calum and Calum's heart felt like it was going to burst out if his chest.

'Well um........ I know that you have a bubble pipe?' Calum started but was quickly cut off by a snort.

'But that one's obvious, tell me something that isn't obvious, something only a good friend would know.'

Calum knew what she was doing. She was testing him, seeing if he was lying to her about the whole thing.

Calum swallowed nervously and fidgeted in his chair.

'You know how to make flower crowns and you can make paper cranes. Sometimes you swear in I think it's either French or Italian. You've always loved playing hide and seek but you hate playing charades because you can never think of anything to act out. You also like to stargaze and can pick out and name nearly every constellation.'

Abby was staring at him, her expression unreadable. Her fingers, which had previously been drumming a nervous beat on the tabletop had finally stilled.

'How did you know all that?' she whispered, her face devoid of any emotion. Her lack of emotion was starting to make Calum uncomfortable, afraid she might be about to bolt out of the shop.

'Like I said, I've been dreaming about you quite a lot throughout my life. Spend enough time with someone and you'll eventually notice their habits.'

Abby blinked at him, something changing about her face. Calum couldn't quite decipher what her expression was, but it looked like a mixture of terror, bewilderment and mild interest. He didn't know how anyone could fit that many emotions into one facial expression, but Abby sure was managing it.

'You like spongebob,' she murmured, her blue eyes clashing with Calum's deep browns.

'What?' Calum exclaimed, 'How did you know that?!'

Abby shrugged.

'You told me.'

'No I didnt, I never told you that.'

'Well you implied it. You took one look at my bubble pipe and said 'that's just like in Spongebob.'

Calum froze because no, no he didn't tell her that. Not while he was awake.

'But that happened in a dream, the first one in fact.'

Abby's eyebrows knitted together.

'No, you told me while we were at the field.'

'In that particular dream we were in that field.'

'Stop fucking with me,' Abby hissed, her face scrunching up.

'I swear I'm not, I told you that in a dream!'

Abby shook her head and stood up.

'Thankyou for the coffee, Calum. But I'm leaving before this gets any weirder, have a lovely day.'

'No, wait-'

Abby was gone before he could finish his sentence.
