New Beginnings (Hawk x Moon)

You lied

(Takes place at the end of summer break)

Moon POV

I've been pregnant for at least 3 and a half months. Other than some morning sickness and nausea, everything has been normal. I haven't really changed other than some minor weight gain, but I look the same as I always do. Hawk has been around a lot lately. Usually, he's got karate or hanging out with his friends. But ever since I told him I was pregnant, he's been around almost everyday. He drives me places to either get food, get baby supplies, or going to the doctor. I have an ultrasound scheduled next week so me and Hawk get to see our baby. 

One of the downsides of being pregnant, I had to stay home over the summer. Usually, my parents would take me and some of my friends to a tropical island somewhere. So other than a few trips to the beach, I've been mostly stuck at home. I just felt like getting out and doing something. This didn't happen often for me, being tired all the time was literally my whole summer. I didn't know what to do and wished that there was something to do.

At that moment, Eli came in.

"Hey, how's my baby mama?" He says with grin.

"Wanting to get out of this house and do something." I said in a monotone voice.

"Great, Yasmine is hosting a end of summer party tonight, we could go there." 

A party would be great. Yasmine was the only other person who knows I'm pregnant, so I wouldn't worry about going hungry or thirsty.

"What time's the party?" I asked interested.

Time Skip to Party (7:00)

We arrived right before the party started. The original time was 7:30, but I wanted to get there early so I could find out what foods wouldn't make me vomit and find a comfy place to sit. Some of Hawk's friends like Demetri, Miguel, Mitch, and the rest of his dojo was already here. They were helping Yasmine set up drinking games like beer pong. The party finally got started around 7:45. The smell of alcohol filled the air, almost making me gag. I put some ointment under my nose before the party started to keep me from smelling any nauseating smells and throwing up. 

I went to the kitchen to refill on my water. As I was leaving, I bumped into Piper accidently. I spilt my water on her and she spilt her beer on me. It took all my willpower not throw up from the smell of alcohol. She didn't realize who it was until she looked at me.

"Moon, I'm so sorry!" Piper immediately apologized.

"Don't worry about. The beer only landed on my jacket." I said as I took off my jacket. 

"Why aren't you drinking beer?" She asked, realizing my drink was just water.

I racked my brain and found the perfect excuse. "I'm on a cleanse, so no alcohol for me."

Piper seems to buy it. I realized how much better at lying I'm getting. When Piper and I were dating, she could always tell I was lying. I left the kitchen back to the party while Piper went out back to refill her beer from the kegs. I found Eli sitting in my seat eating some chips and drinking, so I kicked him out and sat down. I was about to steal one of his chips when I felt a little kick.
