"So, we need to gather demons before we do anything else." Grimm said.

"Other than train Phoenix to fight." Von said. Scarlet and I were just sitting there, watching Grimm and Von plan this for us.

"Well, this is interesting." Scarlet said, sarcasm dripping from her voice.

"Oh, yeah, totally. The most interesting conversation I've ever had with NOBODY." I responded. I looked around the room and spotted Magenta. I got up, and picked up the black cat. "Are you bored out of your mind too?" I sat down next to Scarlet and her cat jump onto her lap. I looked up at the ceiling, and laid down on the bed. Searching around the room for something to admire, I saw a couple movie and band posters on the wall to my right. Misfits, Motley Crüe, Metallica, Black Sabbath... A lot of older bands.

"Hey, Phoenix? Are you listening?" I heard Grimm ask.

"What?" I responded, trying to make it obvious that I wasn't.

"Fuck, okay. Well, the fight needs to be spontaneous, and soon enough that Satan doesn't have time to prepare for it." Grimm explained.

"Well, I kind of figured." I said, continuing to admire the posters on the wall.

"Alright, I guess we are the ones planning this for you. GREAT." Grimm said, rolling his eyes and leaning back in his chair.

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I want sleep. I might be part demon but I'm also human so..." Scarlet said, and then laid down on the bed next to me.

"Alright, I'll take Phoenix back to my place. Are you sure that Satan won't find out that Scarlet is here?" Von asked.

"It's very unlikely." Grimm said. I got up from the bed and stood next to Von.

"Ready?" Von asked, looking down at me.

"Yep." I replied. He gently took my hand in his, once again, gloved one. I felt the weight in my body leave and come back. This was becoming very normal to me, despite the fact that this was all new to me. When Von and I were back in his room, Von let go of my hand and I looked around the destroyed room. The walls were mildly cracked, the bed frame was broken, the pillows were ripped apart, the bookcase knocked down and the books that were on it were everywhere, and the tv that was across from the bed had cords sticking out of it and the screen was shattered.

"I would call Pandora to see if you could stay with her, but she's not strong enough to fight off Raphael. So, I guess we can stay in a condo until I fix my house..." Von said, and then sighed and pushed his hair back. His eyes were the bright red, like they were when I was bleeding. Which reminded me about the wound, which was just a bruise now. What the hell?! Why isn't the wound there anymore?! You healed yourself. You're still healing, it's just taking longer because you're doing it subconsciously. Can you please stay out my thoughts?! Uh, I kind of don't have a choice... So, I'm just going to have to get used to it? Guess so. Damn it. I'm already damned. How much more damned can you get when you're already in hell? Can we stop having this conversation in my head? We're basically just standing here in a destroyed room, and I'm scared that the ceiling could fall down on me at any second. If the ceiling were to fall, I'd save you from being crushed. I thought you'd know that by now. Nope. How can I trust you anyways? Uh, well you should probably just continue reading my notebook.

"Ugh, let's just go to the fucking condo." I finally said, after having a long, creepy conversation with Von in my head. Von reached one his gloved hands out to me, and I placed my hand in his. We reappeared in a lobby, but unlike the stereotypical bright, cheery, fancy lobbies at most hotels and such, this one was dark and gothic. It was definitely fancy, sure, but it had a creepy feel to it. The only thing that wasn't black or crimson was the beautiful gold chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
