"There's only one answer to all those questions... And I can't tell you what it is." Von said. He ran his hands through his hair, giving me butterflies in my stomach. Wait... Butterflies?! Wow. I'm low.

"Why not?" I asked. Von bit his lip as if to prevent himself from saying or doing something.

"Because I can't." Von said. "You don't deserve it." Von turned back to one of the windows and looked outside.

"What don't I deserve?" I asked. Von looked as though he really wanted to say something. "Ok, what do you want to say?! You look like you could explode from temptation!" I walked over to him but I stopped at a meter away.

"... I..." Von started saying, his facial expression was something I couldn't read. He turned to me and took a step closer.

"Von, I don't know what you're doing, but if you take a step closer you won't like what you see in the mirror tomorrow." I said, warning him.

"Take my notebook, you'll find the answers to your questions in there. That notebook is also part of what keeps me alive. Every demon that was born in hell has one. If you want to kill me for good... That's what you destroy." Von explained. He took his notebook out of his pocket and handed it to me. I took it and opened it, revealing everything about demons, angels, gods, and goddesses. One thing in particular stood out. Something that happens every one hundred thousand years. We heard someone outside the room in the abandoned building we were in and I closed the book.

"... I think they may have reappeared in here." We heard them say. My breathing stopped and the door started opening.

"You come in here and you're already dead." Von growled. He grew back his wings and looked at the door.

"We're here to help." The door opened fully and we saw an angel and a demon.

"I thought angels were extinct besides me..." I whispered to Von.

"Remember, I told you that there was one left. I didn't explain why because I don't know why." Von reminded me. The angel and demon walked up to us, but not too close that we would hurt them.

"She's glowing, how long has she been glowing for?" The angel asked. "You know angels only glow around their-" Von ran over to him and covered his mouth. I raised a brow.

"She doesn't know yet." Von said. The angel went wide eyed. Von let his hand drop. "Anyways why should we trust you?"

"Because I'm one of the only angels left." The angel said. The demon just stood there and examined me.

"Excuse me, who are you?" I asked the demon. They just went wide eyed and rushed behind the angel.

"My god, you're such a coward." The angel said. He stepped to the side, revealing the demon again. "His name is Raven, and mine is Raphael." Raphael... Why is that name so familiar?

"Thanks for clarifying that." I thanked him. He just nodded.

"Now, what are you planning on doing to help?" Von growled. "I'm not going to trust you just because you're an angel. For all I know you could've been on my fathers side this whole time." Raphael just laughed at Von's assumption.

"I can tell that you don't like me. I tend to give people the creeps, but I can't help it. You're right, angels aren't trustworthy a lot of the time. But, you're a demon so, you're supposed to not exactly like me anyways. Phoenix on the other hand..." Raphael said, and gestured to me. I was hiding Von's notebook behind me, thinking that if demons don't like angels naturally, then it must be the same for angels. "She should have recognized me by now. I am her set guardian AND arranged husband after all."
