"Thanks, for staying, like, at Go Go Motel!" The girl behind the counter said, and flirtatiously waved her hand at Von. Von grabbed my hand, and dragged me out of the check in/out room, not wanting any kind of attention from the bubblegum popping girl.

"I swear, if that girl said 'like' one more time." Von said, obviously irritated with the girl's behaviour.

"Well, like, I totally loved how her bra was, like, showing through her shirt!" I said, immitating the girl, adding in her Italian accent. Von glared at me, and I stuck my tongue out at him; and he did the same, making us both laugh. The rain started getting heavier, and my dress and hair became completely soaked. Good thing my makeup was waterproof. "Speaking of clothing, I should probably get at least one different outfit. One that doesn't look like I'm going to a club or something; and you should too. Got enough money for that?" I didn't quite know how much money Von got from this "friend", but I was assuming that it was enough to at least go to a charity store or something and get a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, some shoes, and a sweater.

"Well, I've got enough to travel around the world five times. That enough?" Von asked, smirking.

"You know if it's enough. Come on, let's go get some different clothes." I said, and dragged Von through the somewhat empty parking lot to the sidewalk.

"You don't have to keep holding my hand, you know." Von said, and I brought my hand to my chest almost immediately, forgetting that we were still holding hands.

"Yep." I said, feeling embarrassed.

"Okay..." Von replied, walking beside me. We continued walking down the street, walking past a few markets; and finally spotted a clothing store.

"Ugh, finally." I said, relieved. By this time, Von and I were drenched and my dress felt like it was so soaked that it was heavy enough to fall off my body. We walked into the store, and we were almost instantly greeted with a gasp.

"Oh my god, you're soaked!" A girl with her hair in a bun and glasses that could cover her whole forehead said with a rich Italian accent.

"Uh, yeah. Do you guys sell men's casual wear by any chance?" I asked, looking around and only seeing women's clothing.

"Oh, yes, but it's at the back." The girl said, and lead Von and I to the back where, thankfully, there was men's clothing.

"Thank you. We'll be out of your hair in no time." I said, not wanting to be a burden to the nice girl.

"Take all the time you need. When you do leave though, we have umbrellas that we hand out to our customers who don't have them already on days like this, so make sure to take one!" The girl said, before she when back to the front of the store. Fortunately, the store was empty except for a few girls at the front talking about which shoes to buy.

"Why are you so quiet?" I asked Von, who was completely silent the whole time.

"You seemed to be handling it, so I just stood back and let you do what you were doing." Von explained, and then went searching through some of the racks. "So what's your definition of casual?"

"Well, jeans and a tee shirt I guess. Without all the chains and stuff you wear." I said, emphasizing the last sentence.

"Alright, I think I'll just stick to black clothing. You go pick whatever you want." Von said, obviously focusing on something that wasn't anywhere related to the situation.

"Okay..." I walked back to the front of the store, already seeing the ripped skinny jeans that I knew I was going to pick out. I walked over, tempted to check the price, but just grabbed a size medium of the pair of jeans. I ended up grabbing black skater shoes, black socks, a white tee shirt, a baggy grey sweater, and the jeans that I had chosen before hand.
