Chapter 14: SHADOW

Yoongi's POV:

As soon as Yoongi entered the long corridor after the class ended, he received a text from Hoseok.

Come to the xxx cafe with the others.

He frowned in confusion.

Did he return already? No one told me he's coming.

20 minutes later, all the boys gathered and went to the cafe Hoseok mentioned. Jin stated that Hoseok informed the eldest that he was coming back, but didn't mention that it was today. When they entered the cafe, they found him already standing at the door, waiting for his brother with the signature heartwarming smile on his face. Without any precautions, the youngest 3 boys ran and threw themselves on the slender man who was now struggling to breathe. Smilingly, he patted the youngers' heads and greeted the elder 3, earning a smack in his head by the eldest for not telling him clearly about his arrival.

They all sat at a huge table and chatted for hours, bickering and teasing each other. To Yoongi, it felt like heaven whenever he was with his 6 brothers. He doesn't talk much, neither he expresses his love towards them. But they never fail to understand him and make him feel comfortable, feel home.
After their long chatting session, Jungkook requested to have a welcome party for Hoseok and all of them agreed at once. Yoongi offered to have it in their house since it was big enough to have a party, earning a relaxing and grateful smile from Hoseok. Though it was arranged by Hoseok, none of them uttered anything about holding the party at his house. His house was also as big as Jungkook and Yoongi's, but it wasn't unknown to any of them that it'd never be comfortable for him. He had always preferred to stay anywhere but his own house. His brothers knew him too well to not bring up that.
"Jungkook, why don't you call Y/N and tell her to come over. We've heard a lot about her but never really met", Yoongi snapped his head at Jin who leaned back on the chair.
"Really hyung??Can I???!!!", Jungkook's eyes lit up.
"Of course. Besides, It's Hobi's welcome party and she's his childhood best friend. She deserves to join us!", Namjoon said.
" That's so nice of you, guys. But I don't think she would want to come", Hoseok stated, Yoongi noticed him shifting uncomfortably in his seat.

"why do you think that?", Namjoon frowned.

"She has never been to a party before. she doesn't have many friends.in fact, I'm the only friend she has. we were used to having our own mini party, only two of us", Hoseok explained.

"But she didn't seem like the introvert type. She's so friendly and affectionate towards us", Jimin stated. Jungkook and Taehyung nodded in approval.

"It's not like that. She treated you like her little brothers but it isn't the same for everyone. All people are not the same. Let's say she didn't get much chance to be friends with people and she was afraid to do so. She..she has some issues ", Hoseok sighed.

"Okay, you don't need to tell us. There's something about her that we don't know and we respect her privacy. But the thing is, don't you want her to get attached to more people? It's not good for her if she insists on stay alone, shutting herself down from everyone around her. You know we can help her. She's doing so much for Kook and even for Jimin and Tae as well. We were worried for Kook since we couldn't give him enough company but she managed to do that so perfectly! I've never seen him this much happy with someone other than us. So we owe her. We really want to help her and make her one of us. She'll open up once we make her feel comfortable around us", Jin said convincingly like he always does as the eldest one.

"You're right,hyung. I guess I'm being too paranoid. At least we should give it a try", Hoseok sighed.

"You're not being paranoid, Hobi. We know how much she means to you. You care for her like her own brother and we really appreciate it", Namjoon patted his back, earning a small smile from him.
