The days of my recovery came quickly. I was able to remove the bandage around my arm and chest, showing the damage I did to myself as I looked into the mirror. I traced the still fresh scars, going down my arm to almost my wrist. I bit away my tears again and put on some fresh bandaids on the deeper parts of my wounds, then my clothes and got out for the first time in days. I strolled through the village and met some people, asking me how I was feeling. I forced myself a smile, telling them I was ok. After walking some more, I bumped into Dagur who looked less like a beaten up bag of potatoes and more like himself. He hopped over to me.
"Yeah...better" I lied to him as he asked me the same question as the others did. "Mom told me I could get out as long as I don't get into a fight with......"
"Vela!"
"....Ansson" i finished my sentence with a groan as that redhead came up to me. "How ya doing?" "Good" I muttered, looking away. "hey, i was thinking, maybe wanna hang out later?" "Got other plans" "like what?" "She basically said: 'piss off dude'' Dagur intervened, growling at Ansson who snorted back. "I asked her, not you. Dang Vela, must have been a hard hit on your slender body...." He put his arm around me, touching my neck with his other hand, trailing the fresh scars on there. I snapped, grabbing his wrist and growling "do NOT touch me!" I hissed at him and he suddenly flinched back, letting out a yelp as energy shot through my hand. I flinched back myself, holding the hand I just held him with. "Ow! What the hell?!?" Ansson yelled at me as I stared at my hand. Dagur started wheezing "carefully dude! She's still full of lightning!" Dagur jokes. My hand sparked up and I started to panic as I didn't do it on purpose. "Vela? Yo veeeellllaaaaa?" I hear Dagur talking to me. I closed my hand into a fist. "I-i gotta go...." Dagur opened his mouth, but I already ran away through the village, back to the cave I found Elektra. I fell to my knees, looking at my reflection into the river. The mark under my eye continued to glow as I reached up to touch it.
Why isn't it stopping?
I don't want this!
My heart thumped louder into my chest and slowly, my entire body got filled with the lightning, sparks shooting out of my body. I started crying not knowing what to do.
I had to get someone ......
Elektra.....
I got up and ran again, deeper into the forest and towards the cave she lived. I reached the cave within a few minutes, running up the path, crying out my dragons name: "ELEKTRA!!". I saw her head pop out of the cave, yawning. "i took a naaaaappp, what happe......HOLY LIGHTNING!?" she gasped as she saw me. My body felt like it was on fire. It was hot, the lightning shooting out of my body. I ran up to my dragon, crying hysterically: "I-I-I don't know what to do! I can't stop it! H-help me, please!!!" I begged her. She got closer. "Vela, vela listen to me. You need to calm down!" "WHAT DO YOU THINK IM TRYING?!?" i shrieked. The sparks grew stronger and quicker, making me even more scared. Elektra jumped into the storm i created, nudging me "hug me! Just hug me!" She tried, wrapping her wings around me as I wrapped my arms around her neck. I squeezed her tightly, her wings brushing against my body as I was shaking. "Listen to my voice Vela! You can do it! Take a breath!". I sobbed, trying to get myself to calm down. I closed my eyes focusing on my breath. As Elektra continued to whisper some more calm words into my ear, my heart beated slower, the lightning around me calmed down. I sat down, still holding my dragon tightly. "See?" Elektra joked as the power stopped. I let go of her, looking up as she smiled down at me. "D-did i hurt you?" "Vela, relax! You only have me a heart attack, but I'm fine, your lightning doesn't affect me" she nudged me again, reassuring me she was ok. "But those black eyes scared me!" "B-black eyes?" "Yeah. The white around your iris, it was black when you came here! It's normal now though...." She looked up at me, licking my cheek. I petted her snout as my thoughts went wild again, my hands turning into fists as I bit my lip again, frustrated by my own thoughts

The night after that wasn't pleasing either. The night of the attack played in front of my own eyes, the dead people's eyes staring into my own as Dagur disappeared as soon as lightning struck him, a giant dragon figure looming over them and roaring as I sat up in my bed, gasping for air. The sweat was running down my forehead as I tried to calm down again.
But even days after this, the nightmares came back, stealing my sleep. Taraji meant it was just the thought of killing these bounty hunters that was stressing me out, but she didn't know. She didn't understand…. No one did…......
Except one...
