Convincing Caesy that I was alright and was just going out for some fresh air to give  myself some alone time was the toughest job I had done in a while. I couldn't tell her that I was going to Ian to ask him for help. She wouldn't let me.

The moment I stepped out of the room , I remembered how huge this entire place was and how I didn't know my way around here.

I was having second thoughts now. I didn't know where to find Ian and should I be roaming around in a palace full of Vampires?

No.

But that didn't matter I was too determined on finding my locket.

I kept walking corridors after corridors until I heard a distant sound. I couldn't identity whether it was Ian or not but following it was the only option I had.

I kept walking in the direction of the sound , and it grew louder and louder with every step of mine .

I finally found it's source. It was coming from behind a huge door adorned with a number of gemstones. This entire place was dripping of royalty.

As I kept staring at the door, I realised something. Those gemstones were conveying a message, more like a story.

These gemstones were not everywhere,  but they were adorned on some people , as if indicating their supremacy over the others.
I was just trying to decrypt the hidden message when suddenly the doors flew open.

It was almost as my heart sunk deep into the underwaters at that moment. In front of me stood a large man inspecting me with a rather dense look. He then smiled , but that smile didn't bring me peace rather it sent chills down my entire body.

He stepped closer , " Its been a long time since I've heard the rush of human blood through their veins. " He said in a monotonous tone.

"Father , she's our guest " came a voice from behind him , that startled me.

Ian again.

He really was helping me around a lot now though I hoped it was out of goodwill and not some hidden agenda.

He stepped in front of me as if trying to block me from his father's line of view.

"I'm aware son , and she should of course receive the hospitality we Sebatiani's offer to each one of our guests." said his father.

"Father can we talk about this later. I have an explanation." said Ian and he sounded nervous for the first time since I'd met him. But I didn't blame him , anyone would be terrified in front of the huge man his father was but he was still trying to act calm and composed.

"I sure am eager to hear it son " his father replied and returned back into the room and the huge doors shut close.

Ian turned back and was giving me a deadly stare now and I stared right back , I wasn't scared of him. If he wanted me dead I'd be dead by now.

"WHAT . ARE. YOU. DOING. ROAMING. AROUND . HERE . ?" He said through his clenched teeth.

"I was trying to find you" I replied.

"Why were you trying to find me?" He asked, his voice softening.

" I have this locket that I always wear and is very very important to me and after all that happened in the room its nowhere to be found. I need you to find it for me , please." I said , definitely sounding desperate.

"And why do you think I'm interested in playing this little game of treasure hunt with you?" He replied,  the cockiness returning.

Why did he have to be such an asshole.

"I know you need me for reasons still unknown to me and if you help me I promise to help you as well willingly. " I said to him . This was all that I could offer to him at the moment and I hoped it was enough.

"Alright , I'll find it for you , but first you do a little something for me." He said to me.

And now was the moment I regretted the deal I had just made.
