One night pt. 3

EVENING

Ayanokouji’s POV

I was in the kitchen, cooking my dinner when my phone rang. It's been several times that it keeps notifying me that someone wanted to get in touch, but I only ignored it.

“Mmm.. these taste great..”

I got the idea on who the caller was, it's either Horikita or the Ayanokouji Group. They might be having wind of my meeting with Ryuenn this early morning. Aside from Kie and Ryuenn’s lackeys, no one in the campus knows about my connection with him, so it's understandable that they wanted to get in touch with me, to ask if Ryuenn is bothering me or something.

Speaking of Kie, there's also a small chance that it's her. Considering that Ryuenn knows about her past, she might thought that Ryuenn wanted to do a suicide attack by exposing all that happened in the rooftop incident, as a farewell gift. Then I, having the wind of it, confronted him in the restaurant.

“The fact that Ryuenn almost made a scene there, makes our meeting a hot topic throughout the campus.” I paused, 

“It’s done.”

Turning off the stove, I then prepared the table for one of the people that will visit. It's still early in the evening and I'm pretty sure that she hasn't had her dinner yet.

Ding dong

The time my doorbell rang, I then quickly headed there to welcome the visitor. 

Clank

Turning the lock, I then swung the door open and saw the person that was waiting outside.

She's wearing a white V-neck t-shirt and a short blue skirt. There's also the strong fragrance of citrus perfume present in the air, meaning Ichinose applies them tonight as well.

‘Somehow this reminds me of the other night.’

Before my imagination goes wild, I then stop thinking about it and focus on the current situation that will occur any moment by now.

“Get inside.”

I then opened the door wide open.

Ichinose averted her gaze and says,

“A-h I’m sorry for arriving late, my legs still hurt.”

I saw her blushed the time she blurted out those words.

“It’s fine.” I responded.

She messaged me that she'll be here at 6:45 but she arrived at 6:55, so she's 10 minutes late.

But those things are irrelevant, as long as she arrives that's fine.

Ichinose then walked past me and went straight inside.

Door closed

Upon entering inside, Ichinose was surprised by what she saw. 

“Hm.. what is this?”

Seeing that the small table was set for two people, she asked.

“I invited you for dinner, what else?”

Ichinose didn't see all of this coming. After all, I didn't even mention anything in the message. Only telling her that I need to meet her tonight as soon as possible.

Since what happened yesternight, I noticed that Ichinose has been avoiding my gaze.

‘She’s not comfortable with me, huh.’
