Ayanokouji's POV

Being soaked in the rain, me and Ichinose takes shelter in a cave that I found, located in the upper region on the island.

It is the eight day of the two weeks special exam held on this uninhabited island, which makes it 6 days left for it to end.

Since the start of the first day of the second week, I decided to change my gear. I fasten my pace from moving to one block to another, gaining the early bird points then grabbing first place in all events I took part of.

After breaking Nanase's spirit and giving her new purpose in life, she then left me and go back to her group.

Before she left, I then asked her to investigate something for me in the first year, so that our partnership will start, and I will have the knowledge on the way of how she will operate, for me to used her full potential.

In this afternoon, on my way to the assigned blocked, I crossed a thick bushes in the jungle since I'm taking the detour.

Arriving at an area where I'm already out of the thick grass, I then heard footsteps behind, it was too loud like a person that is running in a fast pace.

I turned around while preparing a defensive stance, in case if this is some sort of attack from my enemy.

I observe the grass moving, as the person is going straight to me, twigs breaking, meaning he/she have step on it.

As the mystery person comes closer to me, a strand of a long pink hair then reflects in the sun rays, there's only a few students I know that has this type of hair.

After stepping out of the multi layered wilderness, I then saw a sweaty and exhausted Ichinose.

She placed her hands into her knees while lowering her upper body, grasping for air.

She is sweating hard that her PE t-shirt is soaking wet, revealing the color of the bra she is wearing.

‘Wait there's no time thinking about those stuff.’

I must know her reason on why she goes in this particular place since it's too hard to passed through.

I didn't felt the presence of her big group behind, which means Ichinose comes alone in this place.

Before I can ask her.

Ichinose then raised her head and found me.

I was gonna greet but Ichinose quickly runs towards me and then hug me, burying her face into my chest.

Why is she acting like this?

“Ichinose what's wrong?” I asked.

After a few minutes, she then raised her head and look at me.

Her eyes are full of horror, it's not the same eyes that I witness the time she goes into my room, this is on a different scale of fear.

Something must have happened to Ichinose for her to act like this, don't tell me her whole group suffer from the same fate Shinohara's group have.
Since her eyes pleads me to be safe as much as possible, does it mean that I'm the next target?

I then shake Ichinose by grabbing both of her shoulder, bringing her back to sanity.

“Ichinose want happened?”

Ichinose opened her mouth, but before she released the words she quicky collapse due to exhaustion.

Good thing that I'm holding her shoulder, preventing her to fall to the floor.

“She must be physically drain in this exam.”

I then place my one arm in her back to support her body while I bent my legs and reach her lower body.

When Ichinose is already in a comfortable position, I then hoist her and find a place to put the unconscious Ichinose.

But suddenly dark clouds covered the azure sky, I looked up and saw it's tears dropping one be one. Some also landed into my face.

“Of all freaking time, why right now?”

Then the rain started to pour, I then walked the place slowly, to find a shelter for us to shed from this dreadful rain, while making sure that I won't drop her.

After a few trips, I found a certain spot that is safe, it is a cave. I then head there with a muddy shoe and soaked shirt. Ichinose is also soaking wet that gives me a clear view on her skin behind her clothes.

Arriving there, I then carefully put Ichinose in the ground, I also place my backpack behind her head making it a pillow.

I was going to put my other jersey into her body, to warm her from the cold, but hesitate since her clothes is already wet, meaning it won't even matter.

But I still put it on her, since there's no way I will change her clothes right?

After that I lean behind the rock waiting for Ichinose to wake up.

Feeling sleepy, I almost fall asleep, but I hold myself since I can't afford to leave an unconscious girl unguarded.

Then Ichinose started to talked while sleeping.

She must be dreaming.

“Ayanokouji-kun .....”

Wait is Ichinose dreaming about me?

“You .... ..must ... be care....ful.”

I then stop reacting and listen to her words carefully.

“White ...”

What the?

“Room ..”

How did she know?

I then stared at her laying body, pondering on how she know of its existence? And methods to force her to not say a single soul about it.

‘What should I do?’
