Nicole has to drag me out of bed for me to get up and get me ready. I ended up waking up with hobbit hair, so I "stole" Nicole's straightener to get it all straightened out.
We started walking to our high school and I'm getting enrolled in most of the same classes as Nicole so I can keep an eye on her. As soon as I get my schedule we figure out that we have almost every class at the same exact time except second and sixth period. I know these halls just as well as she does. It's not a big school but it's big enough to get lost in. We get to her- I mean our first period, which is history and I basically know everything. Class is over and I don't think the teacher likes me, she called me peasant, and I'm not very pleased. I'm try to talk to her after class, but before I get a chance to walk up to her desk Nicole drags me away and says I don't have time have to get to class. My second period is algebra 2 and it's mostly girls, and as I walk in it's like all their jaws drop to the floor, which I think is pretty weird. I get seated next to a little brown haired girl with hello kitty glasses and pink lipgloss that doesn't look right on her face.
"Hello, I'm Dan." I smile wearily.
Her eyes widen as she exclaims with a huge smile "Hello I'm Stacey!"
Right after the lesion with complex algebraic problems we get our assignment and right before I got to put my pen to my paper Stacey says with a flirty tone "So Dan, where did you come from?"
"Um," I began to think of city in England "Manchester, England." I blurt out.
"Ooo, how exciting." her eyes light up.
"Yeah." I say trying to do my work to avoid any more conversation.
"Dan, do you happen to have a girlfriend?" She begins to pester.
"No." I mumble staring at my paper.
"Hum."
I keep trying to avoid conversation with this girl but she won't leave me alone.
"So, why did you leave England?"
"My mum and dad died." I say bluntly.
"Oh that's terrible!" She exclaims throwing her arms around me.
It's a little uncomfortable with her arms around my shoulders and her hair tickling my neck, and I'm trying not to karate chop her but I just can't help it ,so I pat her arm letting her know she can get off but she won't.
"Um your hair is tickling my neck." I say nervously.
"Oh, sorry." She says turning a bit red in the cheeks.
I was hoping she would leave me alone, but no she kept trying to flirt with me. I was about to say 'Um sorry Stacey I'm gay' when the bell rang. 'Thank god!' I think walking to third period, which was French, where I would see Nicole again. I walk in and greet the teacher, sadly he didn't seat me with Nicole, I get seated with another really perky, flirty girl that won't leave me alone. As this chick is talking my ear off I watch Nicole flirting with this tall jock with pale blue eyes and light brown hair who's named, hilariously Dan too. I can feel a bit of jealousy boiling in me and I can't help staring, she turns to me with a what the fuck face, and I know I need to stop. I can tell this is going to be the longest day of my life.
We walk to our fifth period, which is speech, in silence until she speaks.
"Why were you staring at me?"
"Um, uh," I stutter "I'm not sure."
She rolls her eyes at my remark and starts walking faster I chase after her so I can talk to her, but the bell rings and I have to go straight to my teacher so I can get to my seat. Luckily my seat is next to Nicole.
"Hey, I'm sorry," I said and she just looked away "I guess I'm going to have to get used to you flirting with other guys than me." I look down at my hands and she finally looks at me.
"Its fine." She sighs.
"Are we good?" I ask hopefully.
"Why not?" She says wearily.
"Amazing!"
