Nicole walks in and sees me crying "What's wrong?" She asks in a sweet tone.
"Uh, its nothing, I was just," I pick up The Fault In Our Stars "I was just reading."
"Oh." She giggles and leaves.
I sigh, laying in bed, thinking about life.

Before I tell her I spoil her with gifts, anything she says she wants, I find a way to get them for her. I make her have fun, I make her see the point in living. For the first time she's legitimately happy, and she stays that way. I seemed to have pulled her out of her depression, and that makes me happier than can be. Schools out and next year she's supposed to graduate, key word supposed. The council wants us to go asap, and its killing me, I want her to live.
We have had the time of our lives these couple of weeks; we've gotten the chance to act like teenagers. Most of all, I've gotten to fall in love with her all over again. Her mom was talking about legally adopting me, but she thinks I'm too old and it would be weird, which is true.
I want to make her birthday party extra special, so me, Crystal and Beth all get together to plan. To keep from making Nicole suspicious, I tell her I'm going to work an hour before I actually have to go. Her seventeenth birthday will be magical.

I walk into her room with a blue raspberry cupcake in hand, her favorite, it has a purple trick candle stuck right in the center. "Nicole." I say lightly in attempt to wake her "Nicole." I repeat lightly shaking her. Her beautiful ocean eyes flutter open."Hmm?" She whines as she sits up, stretching her arms out, letting out a small yawn. "Ooh, cupcake." She smiles a tired smile. She attempts to blow it out once, she fails "Huh?" She gives it a confused look. She tries to blow it out again, she tries two more times before she figures it out. "You cunt salad, you used trick candles." She says to me. I laugh and put it out, letting her eat her sweet.
"Now don't go near your closet, I've got something for you." I say running off to my room.
"You, bastardo!" She calls to me. I simply laugh and grab the box with a rainbow ribbon on it.
"Here you go." I say handing it to her, she gives me a reluctant glare and takes the box out of my hands. She opens it, her eyes widen.
"You asshole." She gasps, taking a pair of doc martins out of the box, along with a Peter Pan tank top and black skinnies.
"You're welcome." I say, she throws the items down on her bed and jumps up, giving me a tight hug.
"I love you so much!" She squeals.
"I love you too," I say kissing her cheek. "Now get dressed, I'm taking you somewhere." Her eyes widen again and I leave the room without another word.
With her keys in hand I wait for her to come out. She walks out looking beautiful as ever, but she's wearing a hoodie. "What's with the hoodie, its summer time."
"I just have some many scars." She says looking down.
"That doesn't matter." I say.
"But people will stare, and-"
"So what, they have nothing on you." I interrupt her. She looks up at me and smiles, taking off her hoodie.
"Ready?" I ask.
"Ready." She nods. I begin walking out the door when she entwines her fingers with mine. We get in the car and she asks: "Where we going?"
"You'll see." I say starting up the car. She huffs and sits back in her seat. We drive for a good fourth five minutes before we get there, Disney land. I figured since she hasn't been there since she was eight, I'd take her.
