Angel Wings

chapter 4

She tells her mom we're going to the mall to buy clothes and she calls Crystal, since she's the only one who has a car, to come pick us up.
We get in the car and automatically I'm getting weird looks from both Crystal and Inu.
"Hey Crystal this is my friend Dan from London and his parents died, so he's uh staying with me." She smiles kindly at Crystal.
"Hello Crystal." I smile and wave awkwardly to greet her.
"Um hi Dan." She returns the awkward smile.
We sit in silence the whole car ride as i try to figure out a way to explain this to Inu, Phil, and the rest of my friends what happened. We finally arrive at the mall and meet Beth, along with Phil, near the food court. 'I have to find a way to tell them what happened to me.' I think to myself.
"Nicole can I borrow your phone?" I ask urgently.
She gives me a weird look before handing it to me. I gladly take it and pretend to dial a number.
"Phil, Inu," I say hoping they understand my plan "Ah, yeah, I know. Im living in America now. Yep." They finally understand and come over to me.
"Hey Nicole I'm going to talk to them over here you go ahead I'll be there in a minute, you guys go on without me." She nods her head in agreement and walks off with Beth and Crystal.
"Okay guys, she was going to commit suicide and I couldn't just stand there and watch her commit suicide again. So well I hugged her."
"You bloody idiot." Phil retorted.
"Have you lost your damn mind?" Inu replied with annoyance in his tone.
"No," I responded "I just- I don't know what came over me." I put my free hand over my face full of regret.
"Its find we'll explain why you're a human to everyone, alright?" Phil says making me feel a little better.
"Alright." I agree, turning off the phone and walking into Hot Topic with Nicole and her friends.
They go around picking out various articles of clothing for me and themselves before we go to Spenser's and do the same thing. They run around joking and laughing as I stand they're awkwardly while Nicole makes me follow them holding they're things like a pack mule. We go to the food court and they are all over the tea bar flirting with the emo guy behind the counter. When they're done getting their teas and flirting we all leave, but before we do Nicole hands me some tea "I didn't know what you liked so I got you some tea." She gave me a little half smile.
"Oh, um thank you." I said taking the tea from her.
We got home around eight thirty and her mom was already in bed asleep so we had to be quiet getting to our rooms. I got into the pajamas they got for me but they were really uncomfortable so I slept in my underwear.
Nicole came into my room to wake me up and I could see why she wasn't a morning person, sleep is amazing! I didn't want to wake up, I've never been more relaxed in my whole entire "life" (I guess that's what you could call it).
