Chapter 7

Annabeth stared at her phone's wallpaper.It was a picture of two teenagers cuddled and the boy planted a sweet kiss on her cheek.The girl laughed happily and tried to duck his kiss.But it ended up with the girl's cheek extremely red due to the hotness of weather and maybe because of the boy.She smiled widely when the past swam in her mind.

This picture was taken unaware of this two teenagers.Sally was the one who captured.Annabeth could still remember the time Sally offered this picture for them to see,she commented on how cute they are to be together.Annabeth laughed with a pink cheek but felt warmly inward.She did think that they were meant to be together.Only in the past.

She deeped in her thought so much she didn't realize a tear ran down her cheek.She used her finger to get rid of it quickly before anyone noticed.Annabeth forced herself to focus on washing the plates rather than kept thinking of someone who was unworthy that will crack her heart.

"Hey."Thalia called her from behind.Annabeth turned her head a little bit too quickly towards the source which send her a little dizzy and saw Thalia leaned against the wall with her arms crossed,intense blue eyes sending her a silent question.

"What?"Annabeth gave her a small smile and returned to her work."Where is Jas?"

"Sleeping.She said she was sleepy after the movie ends.And please remind me again why she is so obsessed against the "Nemo"."

Annabeth stiff.Thalia seemed to notice and felt guilty."Sorry.I didn't mean to--"

"No.It's okay."Annabeth cut her off."I mean you know this is probably because of him.And it's nothing that cannot be talked about.It is genetic,right?Like I hate to wear dress so does Jas.And she also like blue pancakes , ocean and marine creatures just like her father.And---"Annabeth stopped abruptly,cursed herself mentally."Why was I rambling.Sorry if---"

Thalia cut her off this time."No.Annie,don't be sorry.There's nothing to be sorry for.You know what,it's really cool that Jassy was like the clone of you two.The sweet combination ever."

Annabeth glared at her for the nickname."It's weird to say so but.."She shrugged and smiled defeatedly."Yeah.I think it is a sweet and adorable combination."

Thalia grinned but dropped it fastly as if she had something came in mind.She hesitated before splited out."I'm not sure whether it's the right to tell you or not but you know that Jassy maybe--"

Annabeth's heart stopped for a moment because she couldn't breather suddenly.She knew exactly what Thalia came up with.But she decided not to talk for now.She didn't want to talk about it.Only for now.

"Hey.You did promise Jas not to tell me,don't you?Not scare that you're breaking promise against the River Styx and maybe you'll be ripped out after the words came out from your mouth?"Annabeth chuckled to lighten the atmosphere.

"Oh my gods!"Thalia widened her eyes as if she just remembered the promises she made.But then she narrowed her eyes at Annabeth."You eardropping us?So-so you know about this at all?Like you really know?And you still pretend like knowing nothing?!"

Thalia stared at her unbelievable.Annabeth rolled her eyes."I didn't eardropping you,I think.I mean not technically.I just want to call you and Jas come down for lunch.That's it.And I would very appreciate that if you kind-heartedly not to bring this up for now."Annabeth sent her a silent plead.

Thalia sighed and nodded."Fine.I won't.But not only after you agreed to let me get a free tour under your daughter's accompany this Monday."She gave Annabeth a huge innocent smile.

Annabeth snorted."My girl only 3 years old big for god sake.Where can she bring you to?She can hardly take you for a lunch.She can barely recognize the road sign."
