Chapter 10

Annabeth's heart clenched in her chest.Her tears kept running down her face.Stupid tears.Just stop.It'll only made things worst.What that man said just now were slashing her heart bit by bit.She could alomst thought her heart was bleeding.She doesn't deserve this.Not anyone.

No matter how hard she tried to deep breathe,her body still trembling violently and her eyes were watering.Not sure that whether it's emotional issue or because of drunk she eagerly hoped and imagined Percy was here to hold her.She will always be stronger if he was at her side.

Annabeth shook her head continuously untik she felt dizzy to get rid of that thought.He will no longer be here for her.He will no longer care for her like he used to.Even worst he will no longer love her anymore like he'd promise.He had had that girl...She placed the beer aside and buried her face in her arms ,cried silently.

Annabeth felt relieved that she had texted Thalia ealier to help her look after the three kids.Thalia agreed without hesitation and asked her what's wrong.She only texted her back with a 'I need some private space'.Thalia seemed concern but she did not argue.Annabeth thanked for her best friend understanding.

The truth was she hoped that someone would be here for her.Anyone that could tell her what to do,gave her advices and lead her.But mostly she hoped that person could be Percy.

Instead,Annabeth drank the beer a big mouthful.She almost choked her lungs out.She didn't aware how late it's until someone was patted her shoulder politely, asking her to leave.It's closing time.Annabeth mumbled a 'sorry' then walked out the bar swaying.

She steadied herself at a bench that near a park.Her mind was so blank and her head was throbbing.She didn't know what to think in that moment.Her action seemed to be taken out automatically.She took her Iphone out from her pocket and press a group of similar numbers that she'll never ever forget.She did her best to remain conscious and waited for the person to answer.

When it finally picked up and before that person could answer,Annabeth frowned and pouted."What took you so long?You aren't sleep yet don't you?Don't try to fool me,you moron.Idiot Seaweed Brain.."

Percy breathe heavily when he noticed that the caller was her.Wise girl.

He was so stunned at the moment and could not decided what to reply.It's her.It's really her.Percy could not figure out what feeling he was right now.

Suprise?Yeah.Confused?Yes.Happy?Absolutely.Wonder?Maybe.Frightened?A lot.Relieve?A bit.Proud?Very. (as he decided not to change his old phone number,just in case she will contact him for his luck.Like now)And most of all,content.Just hearing her voice made him a better person,and maybe even more.He felt like he own the world.

Annabeth fumed."Perseus Jackson.Can you please answer me as if I was an idiot talking to myself?"

Percy knitted his eyebrows together.What's the matter with her?Why she get so angry and upset?Did he done something wrong?Just as he was confusing and before he able to answer,he heard a faintly sob across the phone.

Percy panicked in all of the sudden.He always this helpless when Annabeth cried.He hated to see her cry.Because seeing that kill him.

"Hey,don't cry.Just pull yourself together,okay?What had happened?"Annabeth's tears broke out more as she heard his soft and gentle voice.She immediately close her mouth to silent the sob.She didn't want him to hear it.

"Seaweed brain,I-I.."Annabeth half-hiccuped and half-sobbed.Percy smacked his head mentally.Of cause she was drunk,if not she probably wouldn't made this call.But why dis she call him anyways?
