Chapter 7: Giving In

You totally rock... && I know that the group have been having back to back problems but they will have a break from all this killing and craziness soon... Also I don't see any comments... Chapter 7

Maxwell was still shackled in chains, but instead of staying in the chair, he was moved to a table and placed on it.

" So how does this go ? Sacrifice a virgin bargain with a demon and get your greatest desire?" Maxwell said, slightly annoyed.

" No, but of you are a virgin it would make this loads easier. Are you?" Xander told him.

Maxwell huffed. He didn't want to admit it, but he never had sex before. He flirted and played a lot of games but when it came down to actually doing 'it' he always found a way out. He just felt that that was another part of him and if he gave it away it would have to be with the person he felt connected to, and the scary part was... He felt connected to Blake.

" I take your silence as a yes then ?"

It had slipped his mind that Xander had even asked him that.

" It doesn't matter, you have me here anyway."

Jacob walked into the room, and poured some sort of ash onto Maxwells chest.

" Why do you even want a gift from a demon? It never ends up good on your end. I mean you are what you are, and I bet if you practice more you could cast spells. I mean you all did seal my magic with the symbols, who needs anything extra?" Maxwell said, trying to change their minds.

" Who would want little spells when you can have the power to break someone's neck with a thought?" Lily said.

" That shows why you don't have any gifts to begin with." Maxwell replied.

Right after he spoke candles lit up the room, and the three of them stood around Maxwell.

" Let us begin the ritual." Jacob said. They all began chanting around him, and he listened in on what they were saying. They were sacrificing him to a pretty powerful demon. He had read about it in his families grimoire. How did these kids come across magic like that ? He then began to feel his body temperature rise as the ritual began.

Outside, Raven Erick, and Sean suddenly covered their ears.

" There's something going on inside." They all said.

Daniela and Mike ran towards the house. Once Daniela touched the door, she was thrown back. She skidded across the ground, and rubbed her butt.

Mike ran to the door, and it opened for him. Raven and the others were hot on his tail, but when they tried to enter the door, they were repelled. Sean tried to call after Mike but couldn't.

Inside, Mike saw complete darkness. Usually his eyes would adjust to it, but it seemed like someone was making it dark. He steadied his breathing, and closed his eyes. He was trying to feel around the wall to walk, and his hand crossed over a spiderweb. He almost screamed out, but covered his mouth. He was terrified of spiders, but he knew that if he didn't suck it up his friend could die. He managed to make his way over to a door, slowly opening it he found a candle lit room and three people standing around a table.

Trying to see closer, he saw that Maxwell was on the table. The people around him seemed to be lost in a trance, but were chanting. Mike slipped into the room, and it felt like a force was pulling his body down. Maxwell spotted him, and shock was all over his face.
