I Like You - Chapter 31

I was fidgety the entire lecture. Anna asked me twice if I wanted to go visit the washroom. I could not sit still for the life of me. I looked at Lee but he did not spare me even a single glance.
Ring - Ring...
I darted out of my seat but Lee was quick to get a hold of me. Anna looked at us weirdly. "Guys is everything okay ?" She looked at me and then at Lee.
"I'll tell you laters Anna." Even though I wanted her to be with me for some sort of moral support but I knew Lee wouldn't appreciate it.
Anna threw me a glance over the shoulder which meant 'You-Better-Give-Me-Every-Single-detail-Laters.' and left me to face an angry Lee alone.
We walk outside in complete silence. I kind of regretting coming to College today.
"Lee ?" I asked meekly.
Silence.
"Leeee??" I try again.
Silence.
"What the hell Lee why won't you talk to me ? If you didn't want to talk then why did you bring me out here ?" I asked getting furious.
It simply didn't make any sense. If he didn't want to talk to me and keep on brooding then why did he bring me here ?
"Get in the car Ria I need to talk to you alone without anyone listening to us." He said without looking at me.
Seriously ? But what could I do I had to follow him like a lost puppy.
So I got inside his car and off we went to some place which is unknown to me.
"Lee where are we going ?" I asked curiously.
"For Lunch ?" He said or asked.
"Yeah anyways I am hungry." I replied patting my stomach.
He chuckled but then all of a sudden as if recalling the real reason why we were out he stopped smiling and started brooding again.
Oh double toast cheese sandwiches this is not going to be easy.
We stopped at Mc Donalds and grabbed a quick take-out.
"I thought we were going to eat out." I said plopping three fries in my mouth.
I'm hungry okay so Don't judge me.
"Slow down Ria we wouldn't want you to get food poisoning now do we ?"
"Shutup Lee I said through a mouthful."
He stared at me as if trying to solve a difficult mathematics equation.
"Stop staring Lee you are creeping me out." I chuckled awkwardly.
"Since when Ria ?" He asked. His jaw locked in place.
I think I feel sorry for his jaw but I must say he has an impressive jawline.
"Since when what Lee ?" I tried playing dumb.
Well I obviously was dumb.
"Ria since when is all this going on ?" He asked more calmly but I knew this was the calm before the storm.
"Since the start of college. Somewhat like from two weeks." I stared at the uneaten food in my hands. All of a sudden I didn't feel as hungry as before.
"Does Cole know about this ?" He asked getting angry. I don't know if he was angry at me or Cole.
"No he does not." I answered without looking at him. I don't know what he would think about me.
He asked again "Who all know about it?"
I answered "Anna and I well now even you do except the people doing this." Still not looking at him.
"Why didn't you tell Cole?" He asked trying to contain his anger.
I don't even know why was he getting this angry. I know he is my friend and all but isn't this just getting a little too much ?
"Look Lee I don't want to harass Cole with petty things. I hope you would understand me and not tell Cole anything about all this." I said clutching his hands because I was desperate to have him to agree with me.
Cole should not know about all this.
"Ria you don't understand. Cole needs to know that Diana is not as he thinks she is." He sighed looking defeated.
"I will tell him Lee but please it's not the right time."
Well Lee does not needs to know that the right time would be fifty years later.
"Ria if things get out of hand you have to come tell me or Cole. Understand ?"
Feeling irritated all of a sudden I snapped "Lee I am not that weak I can fend for myself."
As soon as I said that I regretted it. The look on Lee's face told me he was hurt. "I'm sorry Lee it's just that I have so much on my plate right now. I didn't mean it."
"It's Okay Ria I understand really." He smiled. "But are you sure those hate notes don't bother you?"
I froze but then before Lee could catch on I replied "Why would I let the hate notes get to me Lee ?"
"Actually I read a few of them and they were pretty harsh."
"It's not something that I cannot handle." I smiled at his concern.
"I just want to tell you one thing Ria you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen so dont ever doubt that. I like you just the way you are." I froze once again.
Lee likes me ?

I know it's a very small chapter but hey at least I updated.
