❛prologue : the invitation❜

THE CLEAR WALL mirror showed the reflection of a relatively worn-out girl who was panting and huffing a breath. the girl was slumped against the wall with sweat accumulating around her forehead and down her neck.

you looked at yourself, cringing at your face before shifting your attention towards the brunette female to your right who was too busy on her phone to notice that someone was looking at her.

the moment you and shion had finished practicing dance, and the moment you slumped onto the floor to take a small break, your best friend immediately started using her phone.

you didn't want to intrude on your best friend's privacy but you were curious as to why she gave more attention to a phone than her own pretty bestfriend. you frowned a little.

"yah, who the fuck are you texting?" you asked, huskily while fixing your messy ponytail using the mirror.

"jay." shion answered, casually as if it wasn't a big deal.

"who's that?" you furrowed your eyebrows. "are you replacing me? is this where our friendship ends? because of a boy?" you said in a joking way, crossing your arms.

"don't be stupid, bestie. jay is a trainee here too, kinda unusual that you don't know him since he's been here longer than us." shion explained, not taking her eyes off her phone.

"you know almost everyone here, miss congeniality. you won't expect that from me though." you threw her a blank look even though she wouldn't see since she was looking at her phone.

"i know. everyone's too scared to approach you."

you scoffed, "i'm literally not scary, look at my face and tell me i'm not scary." you forced her to turn her head towards you.

you weren't lying though, you weren't a scary person. you're just not social so you tend to not speak and just observe. but you were a pretty chill person. plus, you didn't know that much male trainees since they practice on the other side of the building so it was rare to pass by each other. and plus, you haven't talked to a single male trainee, only females.

shion has male trainee friends because she's a social butterfly or whatever.

shion snorted loudly, "you're really asking me if you're scary? girl, im more scared of a mosquito than i am of you."

"uncalled for." you hit her shoulder playfully.

"alright, let's continue before our dance teacher catches us slacking and i have to stay overtime. a hoe's time is limited, you know." shion stands up and puts her phone in her bag.

you quickly follow after her, as she plays the music.

"im glad you're aware that you're a hoe." gotta love a self-aware gyal!
