"I think you might be pregnant."

Y/N bit her lip as she paced around the house, wringing her hands and tugging at her hair as what Dr. Kim said couldn't leave her mind.

Just then, her grandmother opened the door and walked in with a small bag in her hands. "Here, there's three of them. Make sure to try them all..." She said without looking at Y/N and that made the latter lower her head and take the bag.

Y/N's grandmother sighed as she stared at her granddaughter walk in the bathroom and lock the door behind her. What Dr. Kim informed them the day before made all of them anxious.

She knew about Y/N and Jay's relationship, it was in fact too obvious that anyone would guess they loved each other so much. But them sleeping together wasn't something Y/N's grandmother expected.

They were young, blinded by the feeling of love they claimed to have for each other.

After using the bathroom, Y/N put the three pregnancy tests on the bathroom sink and waited, her heart beating faster than ever.

For the past few weeks, she had been feeling nauseous and was tired all the time. She didn't think much of it, but now it all made sense.

"How can I be pregnant...? We used a condom!"

But seriously... how the fuck did this happen?

With all the hurt that came with Jay and his friends, Y/N missed some crucial signs.

And now here she was, waiting for the longest five minutes of her life to flip over a few plastic tests that would reassure her that she was not pregnant.

The timer went off on Y/N's phone before she took a deep breath as she grabbed the first test. With the reality of it all, holding the test in her grasp, a small sliver of doubt that maybe she was pregnant...

She didn't want to look now.

It felt like things were moving in slow motion, her heart pounding in her chest as she slowly turned the slender piece of plastic, a shaking breath escaping her lips.

A bright pink plus sign.

Hands shaking even more, Y/N quickly flipped the other two over.

Both of them had a pink plus sign.

Her knees gave out from underneath her, a hand gripping the bathroom sink, the other practically crushing the three tests in her palm. An ugly sob left her lips as she was no longer able to hold her emotions.

How could she have been so stupid? How could she let this happen?

Tears started pouring down her cheeks. Deep, heavy sobs wracking her chest as she poured out her feelings.

Suddenly, arms wrapped around her, hugging her tightly. Y/N's grandmother hugged her tight, softly stroking her hair.

"It's gonna be okay..." She whispered before Y/N's cries got louder and louder and Areum's tears fell on her cheeks as she stood at the door, shocked, watching her friend cry her eyes out.

How did things mess up like this?

"G-grandma..." Y/N choked out as her grandmother kept on whispering reassuring words to try and calm her, even if she herself was far away from being calm.

After Y/N calmed down, all of them sat in the living room as they looked at Y/N with worry. Her hiccups and sniffles were still heard as she wiped her tears from time to time, still staring at the three pieces of plastic clenched in her palm that determined her fate.

Now, what was she going to do?

Her days of going to school were over. There was no way she'd be able to do so with another human being growing inside of her.

She didn't even think twice about getting rid of it. Of her baby.

Y/N's grandmother sighed heavily before she looked at Y/N. "Sweetheart... do you know what you're going to do?" She asked and placed her hand on her shoulder before pulling her to her chest, slightly hugging her.

"I'm going to k-keep him or her..." She said as she closed her eyes. "G-grandma... I have no idea what to d-do but I want to keep my b-baby..." She pulled away and looked at her grandmother with tearing desperate eyes.

"Y/N..." Y/N's grandmother smiled weakly before she nodded. "Just know that I'll always be there for you, my girl.

Y/N's eyes widened before they softened, the tears pouring down her cheeks as she hugged her grandmother and cried in her arms.

"And I'll be here to help," Areum said before she went to her friend and hugged her tightly.

Y/N smiled warmly and sniffled. "T-thank you, Areum..."

She was so grateful to have her grandmother and friend support her. Who knows what she would have done if she didn't have the kind of love and support she got from them.

Hours later, Areum went back home and Y/N went to her room as her grandmother talked to her parents on the phone.

What would they say?

She laid on her bed and stared out of the window, thinking. How would she tell them that she got close to Jay and then... did something reckless?

Her bedroom door opened as her grandmother made her way in, the phone still in her hands. "I told them..." She said with a heavy sigh, and Y/N knew that it didn't go too well. "Your father told me they're coming tomorrow..."

The tears fell down Y/N's cheeks as she closed her eyes and nodded. Her grandmother looked at her with sad eyes before she slowly closed the door, knowing well that her granddaughter needed some time alone.

Y/N sighed, letting the reality of the situation sink in. Her whole life was now a drastically different one. Too many decisions were to be made.

How could she continue her schooling? Would she tell Jay...?

She slowly closed her eyes as a single tear fell on her pillow, too tired to think right now.
