Words

Words are the one thing that can hurt someone to the extent they'll want to harm or even kill themselves.

Now you could be one of those people who are like "I don't care what anyone says or thinks about me, I only need the opinion of myself" and that's where it comes down to honesty.

Do you really not care what ANYONE says?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no since everyone is human and as humans, we tend to value others opinions or even what they think of us whether we'd like to admit it or not.

Recently I had someone on here pm me who was 13 saying they've been cutting for days and wanted to "finish it" and when I asked why they said because they feel like nothing and people have told them to "go die".

Let me just say ARE YOU PEOPLE NOT ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES? (not directed towards anyone reading this)

TELLING A 13 YEAR OLD TO GO DIE?

REALLY?

You have no idea how it broke my heart just knowing a kid- an actual kid was depressed and wanted to kill themselves because they felt so hated.

It actually disgusts me that someone went low enough as to tell another human being to go die and didn't realize how much their words affected that person.

Words, use them to do good things like asking someone how they are for once or to compliment someone but NOT to tell someone "Go die" or "Kill yourself" or anything negative.

Words do hurt people and the proof is the number of suicides that occur every year worldwide.

Please, just watch what you say to people, even if you're "just joking", a joke can still make a person feel a certain way inside and you never know, they can end up hating themselves because they took the joke seriously.

At the end of the day, people often replay events that occurred earlier in their head and who knows, maybe your words are echoing over and over in their head until they conclude how it makes them feel.

It'll either make them feel shitty or good and in most cases, it's shitty.

"Am I really fat?"

"Why do people hate me?"

"Ugh, why am I so ugly?"

"Should I just kill myself?"

These are thoughts that go through peoples minds every day and it can be prevented if people are careful with what they say. After all, wouldn't you hate it if someone told you to "go die" or "you're ugly"?

If you're one of those people who feels bad about themselves, please don't.
