"(Y/n)-chan! (Y/n)-chan!" a familair voice called to you the next morning at school.
You turned to see Hinata the-bright-ball-of-sunshine Shoyo racing towards you. Your eyes widened and turned back around, picking up your pace to class. Hinata took notice and chased after you.
"Hey! Wait!" he yelled.
"Sorry, Hinata-kun! But I gotta get to class!" you yelled back in a rush.
You broke into a run and soon entered your class, hoping he wouldn't follow you in. As usual, your hopes and prayers were ignored and Hinata followed you right to your seat. You sat down, trying to ignore his burning gaze.
"We need to talk" he said.
"Mmm.... maybe later" you replied, not even sparing him a glance.
If you were being honest, there was more than just one reason for you avoiding and ignoring Hinata. Of course, you could totally go for him now that you've rejected Yamaguchi, but that just didn't sit right with you. Also, you were scared to admit your feelings for him and him just say something like "Oh....I just wanted someone to kiss..."
Hinata slammed his hands on either side of your desk, causing you to jump. You finally looked up to him and saw just how serious his face was.
"No. Can we please talk now?" he asked firmly.
You, on the other hand, could barely form a sentence.
"I-well-um.....C-Class is about to-"
"Class doesn't start for another hour. We have time" he cut you off.
'Well there goes my only excuse' you thought.
"Um-"
"Why are you ignoring me?" he cut you off yet again.
"Well if you stop interrupting me, I just might be able to tell you" you sassed.
"....Sorry"
You let out a deep breath and stood. You placed your hands over his, rested your forehead against his forehead, and closed your eyes.
"Listen, Hinata-kun. I like you....a lot. But right now, I can't act on these feelings. Not until I figure something else out" you spoke softly.
'Thank God it's really early and no one else is here. This would've been embarrassing for someone else to see this' you thought.
Hinata tilted his head so that his lips connected with yours. You leaned into the kiss, the sensual feeling of his soft lips captivating you. Just the feeling of his warmth was enough to comfort you. Hinata pulled away and rested his forehead against yours again.
"Ok then, I'll wait. If you need anything, I'm always here for you" he claimed.
You felt a smile cross your lips.
"Ok....now get to class or you'll be late" you whispered.
Hinata left one more kiss on your lips before running off. You sat back in your seat, smiling uncontrollably as you recalled the comforting feeling of his soft lips on yours.
"That was hard to watch" a familiar voice spoke.
You jumped and switched your attention to the back of the class. There stood Tsukishima, leaning against a wall with his arms crosses.
"Ts-Tsukishima-san! What are you doing here?!" you exclaimed.
"This is my classroom, dumbass" he replied.
"Wh-Whatever"
"So....Tadashi told me about this morning. You couldn't have waited?" he changed the subject.
"What?! He came to me!" you argued.
"Whatever. Anyways, now that you've got that out of the way, why don't you run to your little pet?"
"First of all, he's not my pet. Secondly, I still have a mission to accomplish" you replied.
"If this 'mission' is about trying to get me and Tadashi together, you can forget it" Tsukishima spoke.
Your eyes widened in surprise and your jaw hung low.
"What do you mean?!" you exclaimed.
"I want to get in a relationship that I started rather than being put into one" he explained.
"....well...I guess that makes sense, but are you really gonna try and confess to him?"
Tsukishima pushed himself off the wall and sat in the seat next to yours with a sigh.
"Not right now, no. But eventually, when I feel the time is right, I might try something" he answered.
He looked to you and found you smiling from ear to ear. A disgusted look grew on his face the longer he looked at you.
"What's your problem?" he asked.
"I've just never seen this side of you. You're all...soft and stuff-"
"Oh shut up"
"I mean it as a compliment! It's nice to know you're not completely made of ice" you finished.
'She compliments me then completely butchers by insulting me right after' Tsukishima thought to himself as he eyed you.
You helped each other with homework until the bell rang and the rest of your classmates filed in.
