3 || Off Limits

Daichi woke you up extra early the next day saying that you had to go to practice with him.

"But Daiiii, it's so earlyyy" you groaned.

"Come on. You have nothing better to do" he argued.

"Yeah, I do. Sleep!"

He sighed as he watched you curl back up in your blankets.

"Kageyama-san and Hinata-san are gonna practice their quick attack today" he bribed.

Damn, he was good at bribing. You shoved the blankets off and stomped to your closet, angry that Daichi got you to agree. He chuckled and went downstairs to make breakfast.

When Karasuno finally came into view, you picked up your pace and before you knew it you were running. You swung open the doors to find the gym already set up and Kageyama and Hinata practicing. They turned to you and Hinata's face lit up.

"(Y/n)-chan!" he exclaimed as he ran towards you.

You blinked and took a step back, surprised by his energy and the name he called you.

'Ch-Chan? I barely know him and he's already calling me chan?!'  You thought wildly.

You were pulled out of your thoughts when you noticed a jumble of bright orange hair moving up and down. Your eyes followed its movements until it stopped.

"(Y/n)-chan? Hello?" Hinata questioned.

"Huh? Oh, sorry Hinata-san" you said.

"Hehe, it's alright. I'm glad you came!" he replied with a chuckle.

Your eyes landed his hair once again as is bounced whenever he moved his head. Without thinking, you brought your hand up to his head stroked his hair.

'Wow.....it's so soft. And fluffy'  you thought as you used both hands to mess with his hair.

Hinata froze and his face exploded into fifty different shades of red, but you didn't notice as you were too busy playing with his hair.

'Ahh! Sh-She's playing with my hair! And it feels really nice?! Gah! No one's touched my hair before besides Natsu! What do I do?!'  Hinata panicked.

Before he could do anything stupid, Daichi came in and pulled you away. He shot Hinata a glare that sent chills down the first year's spine.

"Get back to practice. The rest of the team's changing right now" Daichi ordered.

"Y-Yes, captain!" Hinata yelled, nodding vigorously.

He ran back to Kageyama and was forced to practice receiving. Daichi then glared at you, and you gulped.

"And you, don't mess around with the team. They're off limits" he said.

'Does he really think I'd be bold enough to make a move on these guys? Yeah, right'  you thought as you crossed your arms.

"Everyone's off limits. And do you really think I actually have the guts to individually talk to one of these guys?" you grumbled.

"Well, they're off off limits" Daichi emphasized one of the "off"s.

"Anyways, you're gonna help Kiyoko-san toss up so
we can spike" he continued.

You nodded and walked over to Kiyoko. And, as usual, the moment Tanaka spotted the goddess, he raced over to her.

"Kiyokoooo!!" he shouted while running.

Kiyoko let out a surpirsed scream and crouched down as Tanaka jumped. He ended up smashed against a wall and Kiyoko stood up again.

You held in your laugh as he got up and pouted before running off to join the team. Kiyoko pushed the ball cart between you two and explained what to do. It wasn't too hard. All you had to do was throw the ball high enough for the spiker to spike.

Practice went on until the first bell rang, indicating that school was about to start. Everyone cleaned up before they all ran off to change.

As you were walking to class with Yamaguchi and Tsukishima, you heard your name being called. You turned around and saw Hinata racing toward you.

"(Y/n)-chan! (Y/n)-chan!"

"Uh, you guys go ahead. I'll catch up" you said.

The pair walked on and you stopped to let Hinata catch up with you. He approached you and rested his hands on his knees, taking deep breaths.

"Uhm, i-is something wrong, Hinata-san?" you asked.

He stood straight up and stared into your (eye color) eyes. His maple brown eyes completely captured you and you began to stare for a little too long.

"Uh...I-I just wanted to know if you're coming to practice after school, too" he asked awkwardly.

He turned his face away from your intense gaze. You blinked and turned red when you realized you were staring.

"O-Oh sorry....but yeah. I-I'll be there" you stuttered awkwardly.

The two of you stood there in awkward silence for a few minutes. You were lost in though, thinking about each other.

'I....I was staring at him. And I made him uncomfortable! But, his eyes are just so pretty....NO! Stop thinking like that. Like Dai said, the team's off limits!'  You mentally scolded yourself.

'Uwah! She was staring right at me! Her eyes were so shiny and the way her mouth opened just a little bit was so cute! Wait-No! Daichi said she was off limits, I can't have these thoughts!'  Hinata's mind raced.

*Flashback* Hinata POV

As we were changing in the locker room, Daichi slammed the door open and stomped in. It suddenly got so quiet, the only sound we could hear was the door gently shutting. Daichi cleared his throat.

"I just have to set some ground rules real quick" he stated.

We all stopped what were doing and faced him.

"First of all, (Y/n) is off limits. If I see any of you flirting with her-" he glared right at me, causing me to yelp and jump "-you'll face hell."

I shook as my grip on my shirt tightened. Tanaka must've noticed, because he questioned me later.

"So, you got a thing for the captain's sister, huh?" he teased.

I turned a bright red and shook my head.

"Wh-What?! No! I-I just met her yesterday!" I exclaimed.

He laughed and slapped my shoulder.

"Yeah, she's a real cutie, but don't let that fool you. She's stubborn as hell and really scary when you interrupt her reading" he said.

"Oh and you heard Daichi-senpai. You're dead meat if you're caught flirtin with her, brother!" he added

*Flashback End* 2nd Person POV

'I-I don't want to be dead meat!' Hinata thought.

The bell rang, and the teens jumped.

"Ah, we're gonna be late! I-I'll see you around, (Y/n)-chan!" Hinata yelled as he ran off.

You waved and ran in the opposite direction.
