When you arrived at Aoba Johsai, the first thing Hinata had to do was use the restroom. You had to help Ennoshita hold back Kageyama from beating Hinata.
When he came back, you all made your way to the gym. You all bowed and thanked Seijoh for allowing you over, then Tanaka thought it would be a good idea to put more pressure on Hinata. Hinata ran off yet again to the bathroom, and they sent Tanaka to check on him and apologize.
You helped Kiyoko set things up while the rest of the team did their warm-ups. She handed you the basket of water bottles and asked you fill them up. The only problem: you've never been to Aoba Johsai before.
Wandering around the school, you found yourself back at the gym. You groaned and began walking the other way.
'Maybe Hinata-san has seen a water fountain on the way to the bathroom. I'll try going that way' you decided.
You set off in the direction you saw Hinata run in last. As you were wandering around, you grew worried that the match already started. Subconsciously, you picked up your pace. And becuase of your worry, you hand't noticed someone right in front of you. You right ran into them.
You finally looked up and saw a tall, really pretty male. His hair seemed to have defied all laws of nature as it sat on his head perfectly. It was wavy and looked really soft. It took everything in you not to jump up and touch it(yes you have a weird attraction to hair-). And his eyes were a chocolate brown.
"Uh....s-sorry...." you stuttered.
He chuckled, and you only became more mesmerized.
'Woah....even his laugh is pretty'
"I don't remember seeing you here before. I'm Oikawa Tooru, third year and Seijoh's official setter"
He stood proudly as you mentally worshipped him. He then bent down to your height and inspected you.
"I think I'd remember a pretty girl like you. So tell me, who are you?" Oikawa asked.
"S-Sawamura (Y/n), f-first year at Karasuno. I'm,
uh, filling up water...bottles...." you trailed off as you remembered why you were out here in the first place. He smiled and stood back to his full height. You just then processed what he said and blushed.
"Yo-you think I'm pretty?" you questioned, mostly to yourself.
"Well of course I do! Anyways, you've never been here, right?"
You nodded.
"Then I'll show you around! Starting with the water fountain, then I'll take you to the gym we're playing in!" he chirped and started walking away.
As you followed him, you weren't sure if he was trying to be rude or not. But you didn't really care since he was that good looking. Normally, you wouldn't swoon over guys, but Oikawa was like a freaking god.
He led you to the water fountain as promised and you filled up the water bottles. You mumbled a "thank you" and bowed. He chuckled and ruffled your hair before taking you back to the gym.
When you got there, a bunch of girly squeals from the second story immediately attacked the two of you.
"Oikawa-san!"
"Oikawa-senpai!"
"Please don't hurt yourself again, Oikawa-senpai!"
You gulped and ran back to your side of the court while Oikawa was busy waving to his fangirls. A yelp escaped your lips as you looked at the scorebaord: it was already their third set. You turned to Kiyoko, Suga, and Takeda and bowed several times.
"I'm so sorry I'm really late! I got lost!" you yelled.
"Right. I forgot it your first time here; it can be a confusing place to get around. But thankfully, Takeda-sensei brought extras" Kiyoko said.
You nodded and left with a quick "thank you" to Takeda. As you gave each boy their water bottle, you bowed and apologized profusely. You heard them talking about Oikawa, so you lingered and listened.
"Oikawa Tooru, probably the best setter in the prefecture. I learned everything I know from him. And if you think Tsukishima's attitude is bad, he's 10x worse" Kageyama explained, glaring at the said third year.
You blinked in confusion. If his attitude was as bad as Kageyama said it was, then why was he nice to you? Or maybe his incredibly good looks just kept you blind from it.
"So then what did he want with (Y/n)-chan?" Hinata asked.
You cowered as everyone turned toward you. Playing with your fingers, you kept your gaze on the floor.
"Well, I-I got lost, so he helped me" you explained.
Though they looked suspicious, they dropped the subject and chugged their water bottles. You sulked back to the bench and stood in between Kiyoko and Takeda.
The match continued until Karasuno reached match point. You heard the whistle blow and turned your head to Seijoh's side of the court. They were putting Oikawa in.
He was amazing. Way better than you expected. He did those crazy serves that Kageyama did, only he controlled where the ball went. He targeted Tsukishima, gaining five points off service aces alone. Then Daichi expanded his defense range, making it harder for Oikawa to target the weaker receivers.
Or so you thought. He still managed to serve the ball to Tsukishima. Thankfully, the beanpole received it decently. The ball flew up and Kageyama ran under the ball. In a flash, the ball was right in front of the already jumping Hinata, and was slammed into the ground right past Oikawa.
Oikawa stood there in amazement and the referee blew the whistle, signaling the end of the game. Karasuno won; 2-1. You jumped and clapped, cheering the boys for their victory.
When they came over to grab their water bottles and towels, you ran over to Kageyama and Hinata. You gave them their things and smiled.
"You guys did amazing! Well, from what I've seen. Kageyama-san, you aimed that set so perfectly! It was scary! And Hinata-san, you were so fast! I didn't even realize you were in the air until you slammed the ball into the other side!" you complimented.
Both boys turned a light red.
"Uh, thanks"
"Yeah, th-thanks"
You giggled and ran off to Yamaguchi and Tsukishima. Tsukishima snatched his items out of your hand, while Yamaguchi kindly took his.
"He's in a bad mood right now. Please forgive him" Yamaguchi explained with a quieted tone.
Despite wanting to yell at Tsukishima, you nodded. You still felt guilty for taking almost a whole game just to fill up some water bottles.
"Yama-kun, you're gonna have to give me all the details about the game since I missed it" you said.
He nodded and you all lined up on the court to thank each other and congratulate the game. When everyone gathered on the bus to leave, you remained standing. You bowed one more time in front of everyone.
"I'm sorry I took all game to get the water bottles! That was very unmanager-like of me! From now on, if I find myself lost, I'll ask for directions or company! Please forgive me!" you exclaimed.
At first, the team was silenced by their surprise, but Daichi soon came over it and smiled.
"Well, the good thing is that you found your way back. Thanks for owning up to your mistake, though" he said.
You nodded and sat next to Kiyoko. You fell asleep on the bus ride home.
